Thanks Beattyfamily.....I do hope someone will post when the 2003 schedule comes out. I think we all would be interested in seeing what to expect that magical night.<MARQUEE><font size=+2 color=red <marquee> ºoº...We are going to DisneyWorld...ºoº</MARQUEE><p><p>

Some have posted here that you can get into MK around 4:00 on the party ticket, then they round you up in Tomorrowland until the party. Is anything open there before the party or is everyone just milling around waiting?

Could we maybe have dinner at Cosmic Ray's during that time?

I was wondering if someone who has been to the MVMCP before could give me the lowdown on the shows. I see the list from the link above, but I guess i still wonder what the content of something called "Celebrate the Season" is! I love planning way in advance so my partner and I would like to decide beforehand which shows we're interested in seeing. Thanks in advance!:wave2:

while they close down the park and usher party goers to fantasy land are the attractions open?

also any info on the shows as stated by last post would be helpful

thank you

Okay, so I'm thinking of trying to book SSR (brand new purchase!) for 12/25/2004 - 1/1/2005. I know that the Christmas Party will be over by then. What kind of special things are going on after Christmas and what is New Year's Eve like if you don't go to PI?

Hi, we just book MVMCP for 19th and also got LTT priority seatings for 5:05 for a party of 12!!

So, if you werent able to get your dinner ressies before, try again, maybe they have opened up some seats or something.

Thanks so much for posting that, we just called and were able to get LTT at 6:10 Dec 19th and cancel our CP PS.

The very helpful person we called asked us if we had MVMCP tickets, when I said yes, she said that opened up a bunch of tables. She had told me LTT was booked and we could only get in before 4, unless we had MVMCP tickets.

We are incredibly happy, this is going to be our best vacation ever! :bounce: :bounce:

We just changed our dates to come to WDW to after the 19th of Dec. DD is home from the Academy. YA! This means that the two tickets that we purchased for the MVMCP on 12/12/03 cannot be used. Does anyone know if we can get a refund. If not, how can we make sure that these tickets don't go unused. I would hate for someone not to get in the park that night.

Unfortunately, the tickets are non refundable.

You could try to sell them. I'm sure someone would buy them.

Coastie, the park has extended hours from the 20th on. Go BEARS!

Just my two cents - we've been to MVMCP twice. We found it to be fairly crowded, but it's manageable if you focus on the special events. Assuming that you'll be spending time at MK some other day, don't necessarily use MVMCP as a time to see attractions. Focus on the shows and parades and take full advantage of the other things like free hot chocolate and cookies and the family photo opp. Get to the parade route or show site early and stake out a good spot. This is what Disney does best. The attractions will be there another day, and if you're there the first half of December, the park won't be croweded at all.

Hi Everyone!!!
I'm SO EXCITED about MVMCP. My boyfriend is taking me to Disney for my birthday and Christmas present and my mom and dad bought us tickets to the VMCP for my birthday! My mom said when she got off the phone with the Disney lady she was so jealous she was going to hide in my suitcase!! :) Does anyone know if Cosmic Rays is open between the time the park closes and the party starts? I'd make PS somewhere, but I'm still a poor college student and he's still at entry level, so counter service it is!! :) Any ideas?? ::MinnieMo

I've read past posts of people getting in as early as 4p for MVMCP, and then being ushered to Tomorrowland while the rest of the park empties out, in time for the official entry time at 7p.

Recent word from guest services is that they are no longer doing that for this year.

So for those who are going during the early dates, I'd be interested to know what your experiences will be...

I hope they still allow early entry, we have PS for 6:10 and my inlaws don't have park passes, just the MVMCP tickets.

Mark

MarkMichaels,

I think you're ok if you have a PS that close to the actual opening time for MVMCP. The posts that I read in the past indicated that people were getting in as early as 4p (with or without PSs) and given wristbands to stay in the park until 7p. That is what they are no longer doing...

So you should be ok either way.

Have fun!!!!

Scrump,
How recent is your information and where did you hear this? Is this something they're starting with the Christmas Party...lots of folks posted here they got in early to MNSSHP with no PS.

My travel agent who spoke with Guest services, told me that they will no longer be letting people in early. I don't really want to believe them, so if people are getting in early to MNSSHP, then I'd still like to take my chances on getting early for MVMCP too!

My wife and I are visiting the first week of December. I actually bought tickets to the Dec 2nd and 4th parties. I hear they sell out and thought if we loved it on Tuesday we would be dissappointed if we could not get tickets for Thursday. This is our first trip during the Holidays, this is something we have always wanted to do.

Can this event actually rain out? And do they refund you if it does?

(Edit: Oh and we are not going to try and get in early, we have 6pm dinner reservations at Kona Cafe and Artist Point respectively. So I won't be able to test the early entry)

The Disney dining person told me that we had to use our park pass for a dinner reservation before 6pm. She was reading some note. Sounded like we could use our mvmcp tickets at 6pm but not before. I was attempting to make a CP reservation which she said closed at 5:45pm on 11-30. Obviously I did not want to make a reservation because we do not want to a day off of our 5 day pass to eat a CP. We haven't decided....but we might just have tea at the GF for our dinner!
