Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party Central 2005

We are going to our first Xmas party on 12/18 and I would like to get a party pin. Does it get sold out? Do I have to buy it at the beginning of the party?

I used to have a website to see these pin pictures, but I don't remember what it is anymore. Anyone has a link?

Thanks so much!!!

Can you still buy discontinued pins at premium outlets, when I was there in Aug they did not have any left?

I went to my first MVMCP on December 4th. Had a blast. I tried to see as many shows as possible. I also rode the mountains. One time while I was riding in the backof the train at Big Thunder, Brer Bear rode in the front of the train with a younger girl guest. It was so funny to see Brer Bear riding in the front of the train. When we got back to the station, not only did the passengers clap for Brer Bear but also everyone standing in line. I also loved the parade and the fireworks were just spectacular. Would I go again? YES! It was well worth every penny that I spent that night for the ticket and the MVMCP t-shirt.

There are also a couple nice ornaments I have one, it has the year on it and Mvmcp on it, it's light blue and in the shape of a mickey head, there was another one also, but I like this one better.

We are going on the 15th and I have a couple of questions.

1. Do you rent strollers just like normal? Are they the same price as a normal day?

2. When you get your pictures taken, how much do they cost to buy?

3. Everything closes from 6-7? Is that right? Even counter service restaurants? Do they serve up until 6? Like, could we order our food right before 6 and sit outside and eat?

I'm sure I'll think of more, but that's it for now! Thanks! Jennifer

Pics are free and they will have you write an address to send them to you after your trip. DH and I are going on the 15th as well. Let's all pray for no rain!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry don't know the answer to any of your other questions.

Ok, I just wanted to say that we just got back from WDW and went to 3 yes 3 of the party's!!! We had tix for 2 of them, loved it sooo much we got another. Here is what we experienced:

First, we got there at 7pm for all of the party's, we were at other parks and mozied on over, so I don't know what it was like 6-7.

Yes strollers are open and reg price.

We headed right for Splash Mountain... walked on all night! That side of the park was quiet. Tomorrow land was sooo busy at opening, we went over there around 10pm and it was no waits, this was due to tired kids that were no longer around.

It took us the three party's to see everything. Parade, shows and fireworks. If you go for those things, you can do it in 1 night, but no time to ride too. We did rides and 1 show each time.

Hints:

Watch the 1st parade over by Splash, where it ends... great seats and a smaller crowd!

DON'T forget to get your special MVMCP pins!!!!! They sell them at the Post in Frontierland and a couple other places only. If you have an AP, you get the option to buy another pin too! They are different each party and only available that one night, so they are VERY collectable items!!

WAIT till 11pm or later to get your free pic taken! They are there until 12am, DO NOT wait in that line at 7pm!! DO not waste time like that, there is NO need, plus, I found the photographer more happy to retake at that time becuz there was no lines, they would show you the shot and everything, earlier, they wouldn't!

The hot choc and cookies were awesome. They were out all night too and we went for 2nds, there is NO limits!!! If you leave by Tomorrowland, they have that one open after 12am and were giving more away... they told us come in come in and were handing 6 cookies at a time! I spent no money during the party on food or drinks :cool1:

Make sure you get over to Fantasyland and dance with the characters, they are there all night too!

I also danced with the country bears IN THE STREETS in Frontierland !! I saw a lot of rare characters, Brer Rabbit and Brer Bear were out by Splash each night too! Keep you eyes peeled at all times!

Make sure you get in front of the castle for the fireworks! Anywhere in front from Casey's up. It is amazing what they did for xmas wishes!!!
The park and decor is amazing, the shows parade, fireworks were great, we loved it all. The people are all dolled up for xmas.. the spirit during the party is... a wonderful kind of different... is all I can say.

Hope this helps!!

We had sooooo much fun at the MVMCP's!!!!!!

PS, two of these nights we cold nights, low 50's! We wore layers of long sleeve shirts, one time we wore scarf and gloves... never woulda thought in FL :teeth: but even the cold didn't stop our awesome fun!

The pins for the MVMCP do not sell out because they only let each quest buy 2. They mark your wristband so you can't get more than 2. They are not sold before or after a party. The only place you may find them is ebay or something.

We went on 12/4. we bought our pin for the night at the pin store in frontierland. We went and bought the other previous night pins at the jewelry store on main street, way in the back of the store. You can get in at 4 with the party ticket.

Can you buy the pins prior to 7:00 PM or do you have to wait until the party officially starts and all of the no-ticketed guest are gone from the park?

Is the jewerly store the only place to buy any left over pins from the other nights?

Hmm I was told they were not seeling them but for the one night.Hmmm

Hey, just returned from WDW. We went to the party on the 4th. I'm just catching up but I wanted to say I thought the party was well worth the extra money. We saw the parade twice. It was the best parade (IMO) ever. The fireworks were also incredible. Unfortunately we had trouble locating the picture area so no pictures for us.

Also, the number of people did not decrease. We spent from 1:00pm on and it was just as crowded during the party as at 1:00pm! I was surprised to find waits for 30mins. still happening after the party. We had trouble getting everything in so we also missed Twas the Night Before Christmas show. The line to get the wristbands was the longest line I've seen at Disney in a long time so we returned at 7pm after dinner.

Still, it was a great time!

From 6:00 to 7:00, everything is closed, right? Are you still able to wander around outside or do you have to stay in Tomorrowland?

If we got counter service at Pecos Bills right before 6:00, could we eat in Frontierland outside?

We went on the 6th and had a pretty good time. We ate at LTT 5:15-6:15 and afterward were able to ride Haunted Mansion and Pirates before the party officially started. We had not yet been to MK on this trip so we ended up doing a fair number of rides during the evening as well as the fireworks, second parade, picture and hot chocolate/cookies.

We got pictures right away at 7:00 at the Adventureland Veranda as that has worked well for us in the past, and it went quickly this year as well. Afterward we did Buzz Lightyear, TTA, Space Mountain, PhilharMagic, and Small World before the fireworks, all with short lines or no line at all, then Big Thunder Mountain after fireworks.

I thought the crowd was not bad at all.

Boswellnakia-
Yes the jewelry store is the only place to get pins from the previous nights. They don't start selling the current nights pin until 7pm when the party starts. All the stores are shut down from 6-7pm.

Miss Missy-
Yes you can get previous nights pins at uptown jewelers - if they have any left.

jenga1030 -
The shops and such are closed from 6-7pm but most of the rides will be open. Just make sure you have your wristband on or they will turn you away. We saw this happen quite a few times at BTMRR. We rode that, splash and a few others from 6-7pm. As long as you grab your food before they close you should be fine.

Thanks Cobbler!

If we get there at 4:00, do we get wristbands at the gate to get in or do we have to wait in a separate line inside the park for that?

Also, what kind of snow is it on Main Street? :confused3 I just read on the thread of people that did not like the MVMCP that the snow was barely noticable. I was looking forward to seeing it "snow" on Main Street! Is it an actual snow machine or just bubbles or what? Thanks again!

They had a separate line to enter the park to get wristbands at the main entrance where you give them your ticket (for 12/1 it was to the far right). I thought the "snow" was wonderful and a lot of it. It was some type bubble stuff, but it looked very real. My kids loved it! (me too! :teeth: )

You can get your wristbands as you enter the turnstyles when you enter the park.

The snow on main street is bubbles type made by a machine, not real snow. I think it is hard to have that in FL as it would melt so fast. Dec weather is all over the place so while sometimes it would stay, other times it wouldn't.
