I was wondering about going to Downtown Disney day of arrival. Its almost 24hr flights day before MVMCP on Dec 16 and 17th. Is it a good idea to buy the Mickey ears for party there first ?? Or is biting off to much?

Hi,

Just got back from 8 day visit to WDW & MNSSHP on OCT 31st!
Have tons of comments about that party, but will post on appropriate thread! I just wanted to share that they've started putting up the Christmas trees outside of the Contemporary where we stayed!! Can't wait to see it all done up in December!
Anyone going to MVMCP on 12/17th? It will take me days to read through all of the posts to see what's happening. I missed meeting Disers on OCT 31st, but will definitely be at the meeting place on the 17th! Lenore

I have not seen this posted yet, but if it is I apologize.

Does anyone know what the snow that will be falling on Mainstreet is made of? Given the Florida weather, I assume it is not real snow, but I am not sure which of the synthetic snows it is. Is it the soap bubbly type or the more flakely type?

I watched a show on the Travel Channel regarding the snow on Main Street. What I was lead to believe is that the snow is real snow. It is manufactured by machines hidden nearby! Too cool (no pun intended!).

From what I have read and seen it looks as though it is the flakey type. But of course I could be wrong. Lol.

I mentioned attending another MVMCP while we are there to DH, and at first he shrugged his shoulders, then I got the ,"Why go more than one night" bit! Ugh. I'm thinking that I may just have to wait until we're down there to convince him of another night! Let's just hope the nights don't sell out!

In our past trips, it was always soap. It looked very real but it was not frozen and it melted away like soap.

We are going to our first MVMCP on 12/5.. we hope to be in TL when they close the park.. I was wondering when we should head to main street for the snow?? This is one of the things I have been wanting to see so defintely don't want to miss it! I read one post where it said it only snowed when the party started and during either a parade or fireworks (I can't remember which one!).. and then I read another where it snowed all night???

Does anyone remember which it is?? I really don't want to miss it!

No actual schedule for 2004 MVMCP yet?

Is it going to be 8pm for 1st parade, 9:15 for Wishes and 10pm for the 2nd parade (identical to the first one?)?

So for kids that have never seen snow....... How cold are your toes and ears , and will my dd believe its REAL????? We are definitely putting this on our must do schedule. Where should you be for the best location and times?????

You wouldn't be cold at all because this is just soap.
I really don't know the times but I do believe it is only done on Main Street.

Im not sure if the little ones believe this is real snow.....I don't have any, but im sure someone knows the answer

Quite unfortunately that's the same question that myself and many other DIS Members have been asking and nobody came up with an answer just yet

I'm sure there will be answers in January when there is no use for that information.
