hi all. i was planning to get 11/28 MVMCP tickets earlier that day when i arrive at my resort. have they been known to sell out before the party begins?

They can sell out, especially on a busy weekend. I'd call and buy them in advance to be sure :)

Why would anyone have the MVMCP parade and show schedule when it won't be made public until the first night of the party? I have repeatedly seen posts from people who are going the first night and promised to post the schedule asap. I really don't think it will make that much of a difference to your intinerary if the parade is at 8 and 10 or 8:15 and 10:15. :)

Just go, grab a map and a schedule and enjoy! Sometimes you can plan yourself right into an anxiety attack. I know. I used to do it to myself all the time. ;)

They do not change the times much from year to year and MNSSHP is also usually the same times as MVMCP times so I think the parades will be 8:00p and 10:00p and the fireworks will be at 9:15p as that was the times last year and at MNSSHP.

For us last year, it snowed at the beginning of the party but then stopped and then only was on again for the parades.

Can someone, who has been to the MKMCP in the past, please suggest the time to arrive at the MK ???

Is it possible to get in around 4 PM, with an event ticket, of course?

How do they close/re-open the MK??

This will be my 1st time..sorry if this is a silly question..

I got this off of another site--does anyone know if I can post the link? Just scroll down it lists times-----

I HIGHLY recommend, if you can afford it, to go to MVMCP two times.::yes::

We did last year sort of by accident. We switched days for the party but then realized we couldn't get a refund for our original date, so we went twice; on a Sunday and Tuesday.

It was SO WONDERFUL!!! You are SO MUCH more relaxed the first night, because it totally doesn't matter if you miss anything. The atmosphere is so festive and the decoration gorgeous. You'll have all the time in the world to soak everything in and do whatever you want. And the crowds (except for Friday MVMCPs) will be low which will make your experience so much better! And even if the crowds are high one of the days, or the weather bad. who cares?

It is TOTALLY worth it!!!!:hyper:

Last year we got in at 4:45 we had PS at Crystal Palace at 5:30. We were able to just go right in. Since Tomorrowland stays open most people go there first. We didn't we headed to Adventureland. Right over the bridge is another location that they take pictures at. We were the 3rd in line. *Tip* Take your piture early. We'll be there this year Nov 28. Can't wait. Enjoy!

what time can you start getting the pictures taken? We also have 5:30 ressies at CP, can we get our pictures prior to that? Thanks!

No, they will not do pictures at that time.

The areas that are open during the closing time of between 6:00 and 7:00 will allow photos...Tomorrowland and this year at MNSSHP, Adventureland.

We got our picture taken about 6:45p in Adventureland for the first time this year...we usually wait till 7:00p and take it at Liberty Square by HOP but I finished eating about 6:15p and didn't want to wait there till 7:00p and the CMs didn't want us waiting there till 7:00p either and were asking us to leave so we walked back toward Main Street and saw CMs directing people to either Tomorrowland or Adventureland so we went to Adventureland as we thought it would be less crowded than Tomorrowland. It was less crowded. We were done with our picture before 7:00p.

FYI...while in Liberty Square still, the CMs were directing everyone to Tomorrowland...but I knew more than one land would be open so that is why I headed to Main Street to see which other land was open (sometimes its Fantasyland) and I'm glad I did as I didn't know Adventureland was opened early.

Hope this helps.

Can anyone tell me what the Santa's Snowflake Special is? I read in the post that it's a Storyteller... is this acted out or what? Also, what is Celebrate the Seasons? I'm assuming that most of these shows are not available for viewing except during the MVMCP? What about the parade? Just trying to figure out what would interest my girls the most!
Thanks!

Will be at AKL form the 4th through the 11th at the X-Mas Party the 7th.Hope to see you all there.

Hi Cathy! I will be there at that time as well for the MVMCP! Hey, do you know how many tickets they have sold yet? I hear that anything over 20,000 is tooooo much! Anyway, it should be awesome! See you there! :wave2:

We will be with 14 people. 6 adults, 1 - 17 year old, 3 - 12 to 14 year olds, 3 - 9 year olds and 1 - 2.5 year old. Some questions....where is the best place to see the Parade and what time do we need to get there to line up? When is the best time to sit on Santa's lap? Do they do pictures or is it take your own? Where is the best place to see the fireworks and what time do we need to get there to line up?

Thanks for any information!!!

I can answer the Santa question. We walked in around 6:15p last year and there was only one family ahead of us to see Santa. There is a CM standing there to take pictures with your camera as long as you ask.
We always watch Wishes right smack in the middle of the hub in front of the castle. Everyone just stands there, in the middle of the street, so no time is a bad time IMHO if you can stand. I don't particularly like watching it from Main Street itself, as the buildings can somewhat block the big picture.
We also watch the parade in Frontierland. Its always too crowded on Main Street since that is considered the most festive place to watch it.

I was wondering how in advance you have to buy tickets to get the advance ticket prices? We are going to MVMCP on 12/5. Due to a family illness, part of our travel party might not be able to make the trip (9 in total but 2 might have to miss). I'd know probably about a week in advance. Could we purchase the tickets then at the advance price and then pick them up at Disney? We're staying at Shades of Green but I thought maybe we could pick them up at the MK as pre-purchased. Does anyone know? Also, what are the chances that this party would sell out? Thanks!

From what I understand, as long as the party is not sold out, you can purchase with advance prices as late as the day before.

Disneyaggie, I have NO idea, but I'm hoping that a lot of people are traveling home that day, or the people traveling in that day are waiting to go on Nov. 30th! ::yes::

Even 20,000 people will be way less than the attendance on Turkey Day-Friday-Saturday!

I'm trying to figure out what sort of sweatshirts to wear for the party and the picture! I get caught up in the dumbest things!

I've seen the personalized ones you can get online, but I keep thinking either I'll personalize them myself  or just buy sweatshirts at the party and blend in with everyone else!

I am planning on getting Santa Mickey Ears hats at DTD before we go!

So if you see a mom, dad and DS7 walking around with santa ears hats and matching shirts, that would be us! I'm sure we'll be the ONLY ones dressed that way!

See you there!

I just received our tickets for December 17th - our 10th consecutive MVMCP!

As far as advanced purchase tickets, I thought I read somewhere that you could still purchase them at the advance price the day of the event if you purchase them at the resort where you're checking in.

I believe that the parties on Thanksgiving weekend are usually the first to sell out.
