Wow 3 days already sold out. Glad we are going on the 7th and 9th and have tickets. :cool1:

No problem yeah it did embed itself, never seen that before but oh well..I was trying to get my count down straight with no luck!
I will talk to her and let you know, are you looking to see how many tickets are left or what attractions are open?
Have you been there at Xmas time before? We haven't just in January.
We were there for Halloween party and had the run of the park!
I miss her dearly put the perks are great!

We went to the party this past Sunday and like all first time things we do at Disney, it was a bit overwhelming, but oh so wonderful!

When we went to the Halloween party, they allowed us to go in at 4:30 with the tickets so I assume you could do the same for the Christmas party! Sadly, we could not get there until 7 pm and it was a madhouse on Main Street. That didn't hold up back a bit, just took a while to get going to Tomorrowland where everything except the CoP was open with short lines (even Stitch which my 2 and 4 year olds loved). By the time we did the rides there, it was time for wishes. Some hot chocolate and cookies kept the kiddies busy while waiting for the fireworks to begin. Great as always! Then we moved right over to in front of the castle for a show there that was FANTASTIC! The characters in the show kept the kiddies entertained while the rest of us got to enjoy the singing and dancing. (have wonderful pictures of my son sitting on his dad's shoulders trying to catch the snowflakes!) After that, it was time for the parade! WOWWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!! Dont miss the parade. A quick walk back to get our picture made in Tomorrowland, a ride on Buzz one more time and we were out of time.

I am hoping next year to get there early again like we did for the halloween party which allowed us to eat at Tony's (lunch prices since the park was only open til 6) and then ride a few rides BEFORE the party actually began.

It is definately a wonderful time. There were still tickets available to the Sunday night party we attended. Probably less locals since it would have been hard to stay till midnight and then get up and work (it was hard enough to get up and go home lol)

I want to go again!!! :Pinkbounc

lllovell... sounds like you had a fun night! So.. I take it they were letting people in earlier that night other than 7:00, right? So, we should definitely get there around 4 and head to tomorrowland, correct?? This is our first MVMCP.. and I want it to go smoothly... don't want to miss too much!

I printed out the schedule and times that Ray posted on another thread, so we are already planning which rides/shows ! Can't Wait..
Thanks for posting so quickly.. Sorry you had to come home so soon!

PS.. lllovell... When did it snow?? someplace I read only at 7:00 on mainstreet, or during the parade.. is it always just on mainstreet? I don't want to miss that! Thanks!

Thank you so much everyone for all your great advice and help!! We were able to get our 4 tickets on ticketmaster, so we'll be there on the 17th. See everyone there and thank you for making our vacation to Disney even brighter!!! :jumping1:

Great news!!! I was hoping you'd see the message before the Ticketmaster tickets were all gone too.

Have a wonderful time.

I goofed and purchased two mvmcp tickets for Dec 5th instead of Dec. 7th.

Although I think the 5th will be less crowded, it messes up my scheudle with the Universal 5 day tickets I have. Do you think Disney will let me trade my two Dec.5 tickets for Dec. 7th tickets? I have been trying to call them but I can not hold more that half and hour during the day since I am work. I hate to keep trying if you know they will not exchange them?

Any suggestions anyone?
Thanks!

THANK YOU WHOEVER IT WAS THAT POSTED ABOUT TICKETMASTER!

I was so upset when Disney was sold out of the 12/17 tickets...my holiday season can begin now!! I feel like a little kid full of excitement!!

Fireant...it can be done !!!

I just did it last week...but...I see your dates are real close..

I would definitely call first thing in the AM !!!!! Its a long wait!!

Heres what they told me to do:

Write a letter to the address on the ressis and state reason for exchange,
Give reservation #, name, address, include tickets to be returned and overnight mail it.
I called a few days later and they gave me a NEW confirmation # for my new date, in case the new ticket didnt arrive.

Good Luck !!!

BTW....the old ticket must be returned before they do anything!!

You could just buy another ticket??

I, too, just returned from DisneyWorld and went to the MVMCP on Sunday. Here is what I experienced . . . it was awesome! Since I did Keys to the Kingdom tour that day, I already had a park ticket and my MVMCP ticket so I just went in front of the castle where several tables were set upat around 4:00 pm. I showed the CM my MVMCP ticket and was given a wristband. I wandered around Adventureland until we were all loving scooted to Tomorrowland, where, upon entering, we showed the wristbands.

I noticed that it snowed several times throughout -- it snowed before the parade as I walked down Main Street, and then during the parade. It was awesome!

We went over to where the Timekeeper (Tomorrowland) was and stood in line to have our picture taken. I must say we rarely stood still. They had that that line clickin'!

After the parade, it appeared to be so peaceful on Main Street. Not a lot of people, so a lot of space to truly soak up the ambiance. Ahhh -- Disney!

Disneyaggie..
Thanks for the wonderful news..we will be there on the 12th so I'm hoping Sundays will be a good day to go..Can't wai!!!

disneyaggie- thanks for the great report!!! I can't wait until MVMCP on the 7th and 9th! A quick question- we want to try to watch the parade- 1st one b/c we have small children. Did you watch the parade on Main Street or from another location? If you watched from Main Street- how long did you have to 'stake out' your spot? Since we are going two different nights, I think we may try this. But, I also don't want to waste half the night!
Also, did it snow at the beginning of the party at 7:00? And what about characters? Were there many out and who?
Sorry so many questions- this is our first MVMCP and I really want to be prepared!

Hi Kath820 -- glad I could provide some insight! The Sunday after Thanksgiving was so nice all day. It seemed that most of the crowds were gone. I hope the same goes well with you, too! And don't forget to get some of the free hot cocoa and cookies -- YUM! I actually sat down where they were serving them at one of the tables (in Tomorrowland) and watched the show at the Castle at the same time! It was a bit far away, but it still was very festive! Have a magical time!

It is an AWESOME time for sure. I preferred it over the Halloween party (we did both this year) so if I have to choose, I will do Christmas again!

I don't know if it snowed the whole time on Main Street, but my impression was that it did. It was rather warm, so those little machines were pumping hard. It was definately snowing when we walked in (around 7) and back out again (at midnight).

Also, dont miss the show at the castle if you enjoy stageshows - very Rockefeller Centerish. It was superb and it snowed during the show as well.

For the halloween party, we went in the park at 4:30. They had the righthand entrance set up for people with tickets to the party. My sister was already in the park and went to the castle and got her wrist band, but we were able to get ours and at 4:30 without having to use our annual passes to get in. Make sense?

Hi Tink2! It was my first MVMCP so I really tried to take good notes for everyone! The huge Christmas tree sits between the train station and the opening of Main Street. It is right where that statue of Walt and Minnie are sitting on the bench at the circle right before you walk down Main Street. So the castle view is blocked from the center of the train station. I actually had a Disney towel that I purchased, which worked well for me since I sat on up at the top floor of the train station, off to the side. I got there about 45 minutes before the show and had a front row seat for the Christmas Parade! I sat the whole time (on my cushy towel, of course) and peeked through the railing. It was really nice. The parade passed right by us!

I felt where I sat was great -- I sat where I could basically see between the Christmas tree and The Emporium. I could at that vantage point see the castle as well. (The key word here is "sat" -- ahhhhh!). I actually took off my tennis shoes and rubbed my feet during the parade. It was Heaven!

And the characters in the parade . . . Wow! There were the characters from Mary Poppins, Snow White, Buzz Lightyear, gingerbread men, toy soldiers, Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Winnie the Pooh and his friends, just to name a few.

The part I liked about where I sat was that you could sit with a small child in your lap and they could get front row view as well. I then stayed for Wishes -- do this! There is a totally incredible surprise ending!

Have fun, my friend!
