Guess who IS going to Disney????

Some of you may have noticed a change to my ticker,that's because I went from going in September, to not at all, to now going in December

So Shall we begin with a backstory?
yes I had planned a trip to Disney with my mom and step father for September since we go every year and my mom has been taking turns with the grandkids.Riley's trip was in 2012.this year was to be Hailey's turn and we were supposed to go to AKL,but things happen and it was a big yucky mess so now instead Hailey and I are going in December.( i'd rather not get into details about what went on ,so we'll focus on the positives)

THE PLAN:
6 nights @ Pop Century
5 day Park hopper
no dining plan
with extras that I will announce later on.

next up we have a new face coming along my friend's daughter Shauntelle who is.......A FIRST TIMER YAYYYYYY!!!!!!!and my youngest Hailey,here's a pic of them when they were much smaller

her wish for this trip:to ride the Mine train and have lots of fun and buy lots of cool stuff LOL

I don't have this kind of info for Telle since she has never been ,but I will ask her if she has a wish for this trip and get back to you guys on that!

Now let's talk about the Pre Tr title for a sec....some of you know by Now that we are Canadian,but what you don't know is that we have some american friends joining us on this trip,well they'll be there first so i guess we're joining them. When my girls were smaller they used to get confused between american and Canadian Idol and started calling it Canerican idol so since this trip combines Canadians and Americans I thought it was a good fit.

I met Jaime on a Disney site through facebook where she offered to be my Disney penpal "Disney not so secret pal" and every month we send each other something Disney related of a different theme that we pre determine.We've had a blast getting to know each other and now talk everyday.it's been super fun and they'll be there just a few days before us so allow me to introduce to you Jaime and her husband Garret

Snack:Mickey pretzel ( she hasn't tried many but i'm sooooo gonna change that!!!)

those of you who know me know by now that i nickname people so you may hear the crew referred to as these names.....junebug,g man,Hammer,H ,hail,boo,telle or whatever I might come up with as time goes on.I am very much looking forward to this trip and i hope you'll all stay along for this journey!!I'm going to do some other trip related activities with the kids leading up to the trip and i'll be posting pics and stories of those here too.

i'm excited for sure and luckily for me it's not costing me a single dime extra,Shauntelles mom is paying for everything for her since she's been telling her every year she's going and has always had to cancel,part of me is excited and part of me is still wondering if it's really happening,I guess we'll wait and see.

Hey disers what's up? Some of you know some of you don't ,but my ptr's usually consist of pics i take of a bunch of things i buy for the trip as time goes on along with things some awesome Dis friends send to me.
So there's the usual play pack colouring kit for the airplane and glow toys for night time parades or fireworks,but this time my amazing friend Oopsi made me aewsome hair clips and i found GLOW IN THE DARK RING TOSS woohooo!!! I plan to play that on the first night for sure!I also picked up a cheapo pair of fake croc flip flops for H to wear at the pool area.



and I like to buy alot of snacks to bring from home when travelling with kids for late night rumblies in the tumblies while at the resort so i've already got some of those and some dive sticks to toss into the pool



We've been a little occupied lately with a baptism and communion for my niece as well as some appointments,and on Sunday we went to The newly opened american girl section inside of a bookstore it's the first to open in canada so we're pretty excited about that.
Hailey has wanted an american Girl doll for several years so this year on her birthday we made a deal that if she could save her $ until we had an available Sunday then I'd pay the rest of the cost for her.I did take pics,however my phone is not cooperating and will not allow me to upload them at this time ( i'll add them in when I can)Hailey is now the very proud owner of Isabelle.I know i know you're probably thinking"okay Carrie that's great ,but what has this got to do with Disney?" well i'll tell you she's coming with us AND today since H was a very good girl at the specialists office Mickey mouse brought a surprise.he must've snuck it in when we were away today because hidden inside what should've been an empty bag was a suitcase set and accessories for her doll to go to Disney too!!
after the appointment we headed over to the States do pick up a few things and we decided while we there to buy decorations for our hotel room in December and buy some rings for in the pool too! I won't show pics of those because H says our room needs to be a surprise and you'll see the pool toys once we go n get pics of the pool.
on June 9th i'll be able to book dining for my trip and at that time I'll fill you all in on our plans.The only thing I can tell you for sure at this point is that since the hotel we typically stay at in Buffalo has filled in their pool to make a breakfast room I decided to stay at Disney instead and just fly out in the afternoon so I don't have to get up the next morning at 3 am. I'm hoping to get the Dme n be at the resort by 7 pm so I can grab my friend jaime after check in n head over to walmart on the first night.There may be a dismeet in the works too,but you'll have to wait and see.

It would've cost me less that 20 dollars difference to stay at WDW the saturday versus staying in buffalo then I woulda had to leave the hotel in buffalo on a 4 am shuttle and fly out around 6 am,mind you the downside is that it cuts my Ry n daddy time short to fly out the Saturday afternoon but only by 2 hours from how long they'd stay around in Buffalo anyways so there are pros n cons to both but SLEEP is key before a trip so I'm thinking i like the afternoon flight thing better n extra night in Disney.I may change my mind on that once it happens but I guess we'll see when I actually try it out.

I'm definitely planning to head over to POP and meeting you guys as you get off of the Magical Express. I know you need to head to Wal-mart that night but hopefully we can chat a bit before you head there and I go back to MK to finish off my last night.

Hey guys okay so my dining has been booked and i'd though pop over to give you an idea of my Itinerary so far........

Dec.6th-arrival Day
we get into Orlando in the early evening and have a dis meet in the works,no plan of going to a park this day just swimming and possible Walmart pit stop.I did however buy glow in the dark ring toss to play and am hoping I don't forget to pack tape to decorate our room.



Dec.7th-
Ak in the am
Beaches n cream Lunch(possibly)
DHS pm
Whispering Canyon dinner( if anyone knows a better way than the boat to get somewhere from here please say so,last time there were too many mosquitos at night)


Dec.8th-
DHS am
Hollywood & Vine Lunch
MK pm
1900 Park fare Dinner


Dec.9th-
Downtown Disney or possibly Orlando Outlets
BOG DINNER and MVMCP


Dec.10th-

Sleepy Hollow (Hailey wants a nutella waffle again)

then hanging out at The Boardwalk since I've never seen it at night

I have no idea what we will do and where we will eat I kinda just for now wanna leave this day open incase we want to run around making last minute purchases before the magical express becomes the tragical express

My favorite part of that post was "dis meet in the works". I am so excited we will finally get to meet in real life!


Beaches and Cream - Jim and I ate there last trip. While I enjoyed it, I didn't find it anything to write home about. Of course that is just my opinion, I've heard others rave about it. We had burgers and they were good but not out of this world. I ended up skipping ice cream because it was soooo cold in the restaurant that I was shivering the whole time we ate. Ice cream just did not seem like a good idea at that point. I did go into the Beach Club Marketplace and got some Oreo Bon Bons for dessert. So yummy!

Whispering Canyon - was one of mine and Mom's favorite dinners on our last Mom/Daughter trip. As for getting there, you could just take a bus directly from DHS. As for getting home, you will have to take a boat to MK or a bus to another park that is open and switch buses. Mom and I happened to be there on a night that all the parks closed early. We were going to bus to DTD and switch there but it was freezing that night. We ended up taking a cab back to CBR which cost about $20 with tip. Best $20 we spent all week!

I can't remember if you have eaten at BOG yet. I've had dinner there three times now and lunch once and loved it every time!

Sunshine Seasons is probably the best counter service pick at Epcot but if you really like Fish and Chips, the Yorkshire Country Fish Shop in England is really good too! I haven't eaten at the France Bakery yet but have read some good reviews about the sandwiches there.
