Mickey's TTMM--need info/advice from veterans!

There might already be a thread and/or Sticky about this somewhere, but I haven't found it yet in my hunting...so here goes:

Tell me EVERYTHING YOU KNOW (lol!) about Mickey's TTMM!!

We are going on Monday, 3/15/09, so specifically:

1) Is Monday a good day of the week to do MTTMM? Would Wednesday be better?

2) On the way back to MTTMM, should I branch off and go grab a FP for Autopia or Buzz while DH heads straight back to MTTMM to get in line?

3) Where is the best place to stand to see the "show/parade/whatever that interactive thing is"?

4) How busy is Toontown on these Morning Madness things in mid-March (not spring break for CA, from what I understand...)

5) What exactly happens during MTTMM?

6) What TIME does the "show/parade/whatever" happen?

7) Any other details/thoughts/input is greatly appreciated!

Definatley pick up a FP on your way. They will open the gate right at the top of the hour. You can also then pick up a fastpass for Roger Rabbit as it is not on the sale network as the other fastpasses. The "show" starts at 15 after. You actually have time to go through Chip and Dales Treehouse or maybe ride go go gadget coaster if you can walk right on.
As for the "show". their are bistro tables and chairs that you can sit on. It will not be crowded like a parade or anything so don't worry about that. Goofy, Donald, Pluto, Chip and Dale, Mickey and Minnie will come out and do a little song and dance. A family will be named the honorary Family and "open" by the Mayor. They will wave some flags and dance a little more. Then everyone gets Honory Citizen button.Then Mickey goes to his house for pictures and autographs.

Alot of folks here don't like it. Our family loves it. Hope yours does too!

We went in November and after hearing that it was kinda lame we decided to check it out and im glad we did, even my 11 year old DS loved it, there was singing and my DD even danced a little, its fun watching a family get picked to be the 'honorary family' even if its not your family! I'd probably do it again if I had the tickets!

I would get either and we got Roger Rabbit fast passes since the fast pass machine is not connected to the others

Really anywhere. There is not a bad seat. as mentioned there are round small tables that people sit at.

4) How busy is Toontown on these Morning Madness things in mid-March (not spring break for CA, from what I understand...)

We were there end of April and it was not busy at all. maybe 25 people total.

5) What exactly happens during MTTMM?

They put on a very small show. The mayor gives a speech. Mickey, Minnie, Goofy Donald and Pluto were all there. A family is chosen as the family of the morning and if I remeber right reads a declaration. Was cute. We had 2 teenage boys both 15 with us and they liked it- they are huge Disney fans of course.

6) What TIME does the "show/parade/whatever" happen?

We were late getting there and arrived at 20 past the hour and they had just started.

7) Any other details/thoughts/input is greatly appreciated!

We enjoyed it. The Honorary Citizen's badges they give you make a great souvenir. It was great to have about 15-20 minutes after the skit to explore the hoses and we ended up being the only ones in Mickey's House when he arrived. Had some great one on one with him and got great pics. Only wish there had been a photo pass guy there. As they opened the gates to the public we grabbed fast passes for roger rabbit and rode it and wen on our merry way We would do it again if given the chance to.

ooooh, mgmcpa--I LOOOVE your question about tips to get picked as the Honorary family! I was thinking about that too! It's DH's birthday that day (that we're doing MTTMM) and I am trying to figure out how I could get his b-day button on him that morning BEFORE we go to MTTMM in hopes that the b-day button might increase our chances of being chosen.

Everyone else---I LOOOVE your tips/hints/thoughts/insights/suggestions! I'm so thankful for this board and all of the wonderful people who chime in with their expertise and experiences!

Oh, and one other question--Bugdozer, you mentioned that you didn't grab your FP for Roger Rabbit till "the gates open to the public". I'm thinking you mean the TTMM gates, not the regular DL gates, since those are open the same time you were in MTTMM?
So, does that mean we couldn't get a FP for Roger Rabbit during the MTTMM hour?
We have to wait until Toontown is open to EVERYONE before we can get a Roger Rabbit FP?

It looked pretty random, and I remember thinking that they didnt do anything special, they werent even right up in the front, so I dont think there is anything to do to get picked, although I wish there were, cuz you know I would have been right up there trying! LOL good luck!
