Yikes, perhaps I did not put two and two together but with the expansion of Fantasyland--Toontown is going to close down. Is there any rumor on when this will be? Is there going to be a replacement for it?

:confused3 DD will not be too happy is she does not get to meet the Mouse and his lady along with the rest of the gang. I guess we will definitely be looking at doing a few character meals to make sure she gets to meet them.

I am bummed! I liked to play at their houses and we never did get to go on Goofy's coaster or Donald's boat. :sad2:

What do you all think?

I don't know the exact dates- But from what I saw they are going to be moving Mickey and Minnie's homes to a different area in the park. Also, they are going to try to keep Goofy's Barnstormer- it might get a new theme but it is a hit with the kids.

OK, so they are shutting Toon Town down and yes this is true! It was originally supposed to be openfor one year as Mickeys Birthday Land but it stuck for longer. What is going to happen is that they will put in three more castles, (I heard this from a CM just so you know;)) three new restaurants, and many new rides. The castles are The Beast, Prince Eric, and Sleeping Beauty. Each Princess will be in her own castle for autographs and two of the restaurants will be in the castles. They are putting in Ariel rides and some more rides that are confidential. This will all take 4-7 years and, don't worry, the park will be open during this time!

Hope this helps!!!!:)
