An update to the May 2001 news item.
This project is still very much alive, with some very healthy budgets being assigned. Currently, Lion King will close in April 2002, with the new attraction opening late September 2003.
Further good news for this attraction, is that Michael Eisner is very much behind the project, meaning it will get full attention and funding. The attraction is also being developed to role out into the new Hong Kong park.
