I have read several places of people giving guest services pillow cases and sharpies and then getting them back with all of the characters signatures. Has anyone done this? I wasn't sure what the exact procedure was. I gather you have to have them in a ziploc bag but do you put your name and stateroom in the bag too? :confused3

Hey Tinkerbell,

Yea this is the coolest and cheapest thing - my DW brought autograph picture matting purchased from our local dollar store for all of our DKs (6 in all) and one for ourselves. She put them each in their own bag with their own sharpies and wrote on the outside of the bag the name of the child and the stateroom they were staying in. We turned it into guest services on the first day of the cruise and they had it in our stateroom the night before we left the last day. It is a great souvenir. We are going to pick out the best photo of each of them from the cruise and display it for them in the matting signed by all the characters. It is our understanding that it could be almost anything...t-shirts, pillow cases, photo matting~almost anything that can be signed.

Thank you so much! I actually have autographable stuffed animals for each of the kids. I wonder if that would work? I'll check into it and thank so much for your reply!

I have to send my computer away for repair now so I'll be away for awhile. Take care everyone.

Ben,

Thanks for the idea. I had heard about the pillow cases, but I love the picture matting. I did this for the kids graduation (so there friends and family could leave messages). I am definately going to do this for us!!! Oh, I am so excited.

Sorry to hear you weather is not looking like spring any time soon. We are supposed to see almost 60 today and tomorrow, but rain starting after that. We haven't had much in the way of snow this winter (one little and by little I mean a few inches, and everyone shuts down!!!). I could not believe when I heard on the radio this am that we change our clocks this weekend!!! I knew they had changed the dates, but couldn't remember when, this is way early!!!

I'm messaging from work. shhhhhhhh:rotfl: It is a high of 81 here today. It doesn't do a whole lot of good when you have to work. Mom on the other hand is at the beach right now. I'll try to push some warm weather up your way. ;)

Wahoo! It's 68 degrees here. I just kicked the kids outside and told them not to come back in until I say so! Like my daughter's room, which dh painted yesterday, they needed some "airing". LOL

It's so true what pjstevens said about this part of the country and our dwindling inches of snow. The kids feel so ripped off. We haven't had a decent snow, one you could go sledding on, all winter. Personally, even though I don't think of prime real estate as a place with good sledding hills, I feel a little sad about it too.

You ;guys realize you killing me:confused3 !

The added problemo with great lakes weather - is holding true....no sunshine for days....and days....just overcast skies. That is really the one that drives me completely bonky.

I am so surprised to hear you guys have nothing in delaware....I just saw a report that some town in maine is like buried in 10 feet of snow with more coming...I geuss the cycles are just very different this year. In Ga they are still starved for water and we have been above flood stage for weeks!

Rain tonight - 4-6 inches tommorrow - the kids no longer want a 'snow day' they will now have to make up these days...they just want those 2 hour delays :yay:

Got the Orlando condo for the inlaws....its cheaper to rent the week a 2 bedroom and just let it lay idle for four nights than to do the hotel thing. Hoping to do Arabian nights and at least one day of the Magic Kingdom!

See ya
Ben

Ben,

Sorry to cause you such great pain. It was 64 on my way in today :confused3 but it is supposed to start raining really heavy tonight and we probably won't see the sun for a few days. I know my son had one snow day, and one day it was raining and he said, 'why do we have school, it's raining, :rotfl: Typical teenager!!!

Poor baby! Maybe your son would feel better if he knew my children get NO snow days. We homeschool. Rain, sleet, snow, or all of the above, it's still a school day.

Ben, if it means anything, I'd love to go sledding for a change. Yes, the weather is gorgeous right now but we pay for it in the summer. Quite honestly, I would like to have an actual season for a change instead of hot and hotter. It wont be to much longer before you see the sunshine! :)

Monica,

He'd hate that (granted he wanted me to homeschool him when he was little, i did work at his school for a long time) but he LOVES not getting up in the morning. He's so not a morning person, lol...:lmao:

Hi all!
My husband and I were married at the Disney Wedding Pavilion and Grand Floridian this past October. I have been dying to go on a Disney Cruise and so we're thinking of going for an early one year anniversary trip!
If we do go we'll definitely be going in September and I actually received a quote for the September 7th cruise and now I have my heart set on it!
If we don't end up on the cruise we'll be in the World but I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this cruise!
I've never been on any cruise before and I have no idea what to expect. I've been on the DIS before but just in the wedding and honeymoon section so I'm really excited to branch out a bit and read all about the cruises.
Here's hoping I'll be seeing you all soon!!!

Cappy,

i hope you get to join us. When you make the plunge, let us know, we have started up a Yahoo group to get to know each other before the cruise. Congrats on your recent marriage. Do you have an online PJ or TR that would have photos that you wouldn't mind sharing. Since we are doing a vow renewal for our 25th on the cruise, I've been hanging out at the DFTW boards and the cruise board.
