OK, I'm full of questions but you have to ask to get an answer. For those of you who are familiar with Mickeys Not so Scary Halloween, what happens if you are already in MK that evening? Are there discount tickets for those who are already there? I understand you have to have a separate ticket, but is it really worth it when you are already there at the park? Trying to justify the cost...

It doesn't matter if you were there during the day, it's the same price. We don't go to MK the day of the party and if you plan on going to the party, I would recommend doing another park during the day. We'll be going to MNSSHP on October 6th, but we will use that day for Animal Kingdom, since it closes early anyway.

Cast members try to heard most people out of the park. It closes for an hour before the MNSSHP starts. People with tickets to the party are sent over to Fantasyland until the official start of the party. Once the party starts the Cast Members will be checking to make sure everyone has on a wrist band. Just like the extra magic hours - no wrist band - you are not allowed on any of the rides.
We have done the party twice and it is a lot of fun - even more fun if you dress up in a costume. Nothing like trick n treating as a 60 + year old. It is fun to see all the kids in their costumes and to see the Disney characters in an additional costume. Be sure and catch the parade - it is full of villains. The fireworks are outstanding - done to all the villain music from disney movies - esp. Nightmare Before Christmas.

There is a discount for AP holders on the day of the event but I haven't seen any for anyone else.

The only discount for most is to buy early. Here is the info from web site: We are going 10-02 Have a great time. :sunny:

when we attend, we don't go to the parks and use the MNSSHP as our park day. You can enter the park at 4pm, so we will go to the park then, have dinner at 6pm and then attend the party. Its much cheaper than a park day and its really a cool event!

We are planning on using this day as our shopping day (we are going to MNSSHP our last evening) Sow e will head to DTD during the morning, go back to the pool at our hotel and swim in the agternoon and head out to MNSSHP in the evening

The park officially closes at 6:00p so you'll have to leave then. If you have tickets to the hard ticket event, then you can stay for the party which officially begins at 7:00p.

Yay! :yay: We will also be there 10.2!

The park closes - so it doesnt matter if youre already there. It closes and re-opens for MNSSHP guests, only.

We also choose to *take it easy* the day of the party. Probably a waterpark this year, at opening - back to the room to zonk-out, until the party!

Thanks for the help guys - didn't realize that the park closed early those days. Now to just talk the other half into it!

Were going 10.2 also!
What's open during the 6-7 hour? Are we just going to be standing around waiting for the party to start or are some of the rides still running? How about counter service resturants- what will be open?

Thank you!

They always leave one land open with rides and one counter service location. Last year it was Adventureland/Frontierland open with Pecos Bills open as well.

In previous years it was Tomorrowland so we'll see what they do this year.

They will escourt you out if you do not have the bands.

With the way park tickets are priced now I think it's only a couple bucks to add another day so I'd say include that day when you buy your regular park tickets just in case you'd wanna hit any of the parks earlier that day...it's not like in the past where it was around $30 more for each day you'd add to your park-hoppers. Granted, you'd still have to pay around $40 (adults) for separate tickets for the MNSSHP, but I've been reading that it's such a blast that it's worth the extra cost. DH is el-cheapo and he even agreed to spending the extra money and we're both really looking forward to it. We'll probably relax at the resort that day or do some shopping at DTD but knowing that we have the option to go to any of the parks for a buck or two that day is a good deal in my book. That way, you won't use up a later day's ticket if you'd get really bored! Just my 2 cents! :wave2:

Does anyone have pictures of the MNSSHP they would like to share?
Another question: Is the trick or treating just for the kids? I want some candy too. pirate:

The 4 of us (2 adults,2kids) got so much candy I was afraid we would go over on our luggage weight limit....LOL
YES Adults get all the candy too.....

Ofcourse you can get candy! DTwin and I are going on 26. We went last year and refused to miss out on the candy just because we weren't still in single digit years! And we saw many other adults doing the same. And don't be afraid to dress up either! DTwin and I went as The Tweedle Twins last year and this year we plan on doing Mickey and Minnie!
Here are some pix from last years MNSSHP:
