Planning to Take the kids to their first not so scary Halloween party next October and had some questions about strategy.

We will be in for a short Columbus Day weekend, which I assume will be packed, but would like to be able to hit most of the rides, so I am Planning to splurge on the premier lightning lane passes. But as I understand, there are no lighting lanes during the halloween party hours.

Does this mean I going to need to purchase separate general park admission tickets + premier LL (which can only be used till 4 pm), and then a separate Halloween party ticket?

Other option would be to pair the Halloween party with the other park day, but that seems like a lot to squeeze in for one day

If you want to be in a park all day, then yes, you need general park admission in addition to a party ticket. Premier Pass will be valid for regular park operating hours, which in the case of Magic Kingdom will be 6PM.

Party days are historically much lower crowds. You can do a lot those days without a LLPP.

We are scheduled to arrive on 10/29 this coming October which is a Wednesday. Would you expect parties to follow normal schedule that week on both Thursday and Friday? We would go on Thursday the 30th.

My guess is as good as yours. My only recommendation is to read the 2024 dates and make your best guess.

Yes. You will need a general admission ticket to enter the park from park open until 6pm. You can purchase Premier LL for park open until 6pm. From 6pm to 7pm if you do not have a party wristband you will herding toward the park entrance and eventually escorted out. If you wan to purchase just a party ticket you can enter at 4pm.

Traditionally MNSSHP have taken place Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday in October. The exception to this is
Indigenous Peoples' Day when the Sunday party takes place on Monday, the holiday. But that's just historic data. Disney might change their mind this year. We won't know until they tell us.

Yes - both 10/30 and 10/31 will have parties

Both 10/30 and 10/31 should have parties. Until dates are announced, nothing is guaranteed.
Except - No way is Disney NOT going to schedule a party on Halloween or the day before…it’s about as close to a sure thing as you can get…

All I’m saying is while Disney did offer MNSSHP on Oct 30 and 31 in 2022, they did not in 2023 or 2024 so I hesitate to tell someone they will definitely have parties on both of those dates in 2025 when they have not 2/3 last years.

We try to be realistic here. Nothing is definite until Disney announces party dates.

Scrappin is right - I stand corrected - 10/30 was not scheduled as a party night in 2022 and 2023 as they were Monday and Wednesday nights those years…however, 2025 is Thursday (10/30) and Friday nights (10/31) which are traditional MNSSHP nights - so - while I may not bet the farm - I might bet the cow… :D

Thanks. Anyone know if that specific weekend crowds for the party tend to be better on the Friday or Monday on the holiday for the MNSSHP?

How about Nov. 1 for 2025? Anyone want to take a guess on if they will have a Nov. 1 party this year? They did not have one on Nov.1 last year, but did some other years. This year Nov. 1 falls on a Saturday.

I'm hoping they do not have a party Nov. 1, as I hope to be in MK that evening with a regular 4 day non-park hopper (our time will be limited this trip since DD will be performing in Disney Springs Nov. 2).

Nov 1 is a Saturday night, which isn't usually a party night. I think Disney is anticipating lower numbers this year due to political and economic conditions and won't host an "extra" party.

Does 10/31 sell out really fast - as in I need to be ready to purchase the day they go on sale?
Historically not that fast but within a few weeks or so, yes. I didn't think the tickets have ever been around longer than 6 weeks after announcing. The date they sell out is in the annual MNSSHP thread if you want to search past years.

They historically have not had Saturday parties. Given 11/1 falling on a Saturday this year I would bet they will not have one.

I'm waiting for the announcements which I know won't be for a bit yet as based on last year's dates, we will be there for the 2nd party in August. I know that was one of the earlier ones to sell out last year. Right now we have it as a rest day/party day because as said, until it is announced anything goes on when the parties will begin, etc...
