mickeys not so scary halloween party

If you buy a ticket to the Mickeys not so scary halloween party, do you ALSO need a ticket for park admission? We will be there 8 days, but are getting the 7 day hopper. We are thinking about just going to Disney springs in the AM and then going to the halloween party at 4. Would that work? Or do we also need a separate park admission AND the extra halloween party ticket?

That'll work. You don't need a MK park ticket to go to the parties. You can enter at 4pm with the party ticket. If you want to enter earlier than that then you'll need a park ticket along with the party ticket

They'll be special event entrance to go thru as well that uses only the party ticket.
