I know the Halloween party starts at 7:00 but what time do they start letting people in? At exaclty 7?? Also what if you are already at the park> Do you have to leave and then come back in? Any other tips? How are the busses that night?

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1187434 Read this thread on tips.

Last year we entered the MK before 5PM only on our party ticket. Guests who are already in the park and have MNSSHP tickets may stay in the park. By 6PM it's a good idea to trade your ticket for a wristband. At 6PM cast members start herding guests to one area of the park for decorating.

MNSSHP guests can enter MK at 4pm without the need for a day ticket. Historically the park closes at 6pm for decorating...and all MNSSHP guests are directed to one specific land for the one hour. However, this year we're not sure what's going on...as hours listed on the WDW website have the park closing at 7pm with the party starting at 7pm...so no one is sure what to expect. No one will have the definitive answer until party-goers from the first party (9/15) come on the board and report what's going on...which of course happens to be when I'm going so I'll find out myself.

We were at the party on 9/15. We entered the park about 6pm on our party tickets only. We drove over from POFQ and they were asking to see your party ticket at the TTC before we took the monorail over to MK.

Once we got into the park, we were given our wristbands right after the fingerscanners and were given our party park map with show details.

The general public could stay as long as they wanted. No announcements were made for them to leave the park. But they couldn't ride rides after 7pm without a wristband and the first Villians Mix and Mingle was moved to 745pm. I guess they thought people would leave with nothing special going on between 7p and 745pm. The party t-shirts didn't go on sale until 730p so that mainly party guests would get them.

The special party trading pins were for sale over at the Main St. Cinema. We got in line there about 645pm and waited for about 45 minutes to buy our pins. We didn't have to show anything to them but we already had our wristbands so I'm guessing that was enough.

You couldn't trick or treat without wristbands either so the general public pretty much made a mass exodus around 7p, especially since it was starting to rain.

I need some clarification before Friday. The earliest you can get in with a MNSSHP ticket only w/out normal admission is four, right?
Also-What is the maximum number of tickets that they can sell? How crowded have the parties been and how crowded will Friday's be?
BTW, we just decided to go to Friday's party and just bought tickets. Because we didn't think we would be going, we didn't follow the bigger threads.

You are wrong about being allowed to stay. At the entrance to each land, cm's were watching and shepherding non-wristband wearers to the front of the park and then down Main Street. They were pretty discreet, but they were there. For all our paranoia, the cm's did a great job and I saw no one after 8 without a wristband.

I've read a bunch of replies, but still looking for a definite answer. What time will they let you in with only a Party ticket?

Thanks! :confused3

I think mking624 answer your question. They let party goers in after 4:00p with just their party ticket.

Yes, guest can enter the park at 4:00 pm with only the event ticket , according the threads I have read in the past, and attending the party in years past.

I don't know. I know at least at 530p. Possibly earlier. You may want to call Disney reservations. They should be able to tell you.

Good morning,

Thanks for all the info on the special events, we are leaving for wdw one week from now ! and we will be at the party on 10/10. I've read many threads and I seem to be a bit confused, #1, does your ticket also include a free Halloween photo? #2, I've heard from people that the rides are not open and some say the rides are open?? and #3, can you purchase the Halloween pins anywhere or only at one location?

If anyone can help me that has been there this year, thanks !

No, not this year. You get a photopass card that you can use to get 50% 5x7
#2, I've heard from people that the rides are not open and some say the rides are open?? The rides are open.

You can only purchase them at one location. I think it's the Emporium. I'm not sure though. You can do a search here for locations.

have fun!

If you go to MK that day and want to stay in the park all day, take your MNSSHP ticket with you. They will scan it (at various places IN the park) and give you the required wristband between 4 and 7.

Have fun!

We'll be there on the 19th! :cool1:

Watch for someone wearing this shirt image and say Hi! - that will be me! (nobody else has one like it as I designed it)

We were there on 9/15. In previous years you received a free photo. This year they changed it to 50% off one 5x7 photo but only if you buy it there that night or if you buy it online when you return home.

There were plenty of rides open when we there. We only rode Pirates and Haunted Mansion. Too many other things to see and do to ride rides.

The pins were only for sale at one location. Town Square Exposition Hall. It's the first building on your right when you come into MK under the tunnel. The entrance to buy the pins is on the far right side of the building as you're facing it.

Hope this helps! :wave2:

Got in at 4pm the last 2 years.
