Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Questions

Okay guys, last year we had a 4.30pm ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern, all the characters were in costume and although it took its time, it was a great ADR to start the party.

This year we are wanting to try somewhere different.

Any ideas? Do any other Characters in the restaurants dress up on party nights?

Thank you in advance :thumbsup2

I don't really have any suggestions for you, but just wanted to mention that there aren't any characters at Liberty Tree Tavern any more.

Crystal Palace is what I chose to do for dinner the night I go.

No other places have had characters dressed for Halloween in the past other than LTT, but maybe they could make a change this year since they took characters away from LTT and have them dressed up somewhere else. Who knows.

I'd just pick a place in MK since it's the most convenient. Our favorties are CP and Tony's. CRT is too expensive for us now.

Good luck deciding.

Hi everyone. I havent read this entire thread and forgive me for not knowing cause i have never been to disneyworld around any holiday (only have gone in May in the past) but what is mnsshp? I think from what i read that even though you have a park pass you still need to buy tickets for this? We will be there from sept 12th - 19th and when i booked the cm told me that one of the scheduled dates was the 15th. So we planned for mk that day. But do i still need to purchases extra tickets for this? Is it all throughout the whole park or in a seperate area? Also if we dont get tickets for it do you have to leave the park when the party starts? Id love to know more about it, thanks.

MNSSHP is a special event held at the MK during the Halloween season. It runs 7pm to midnight (so it happens after the MK closes). So yes, it requires a different ticket for the party. If you don't have party tickets, you have to leave the MK at 7pm.

MNSSHP+ Mickeys Not So Scarey Halloween Party
Hard ticket- if you dont have a ticket CM direct people not wearing a braclett to the exits. You gotta be wearing a bracelet to ride rides, shop, eat. even when standing in line to see characters. The parade is different as is the fireworks

Can you buy the tickets when you get to WDW for MNSSHP? How far in advance can you get them online? I would like to buy them early but won't have the money until Sept. 4 and leaving for trip on Sept. 19. Is this to little time? Help please kids really want to go, already argueing about what they will be. pirate::cheer2::wizard: princess:

Yes, you can buy them at WDW as long as the night you want doesn't sell out. I'd just wait to buy them down there since you can't buy them until after Sept 4.

If you'd rather buy them before you leave over the phone on Sept 4 then they'll just have you pick them up at Will Call at Guest Services once you arrive at WDW.

Snow White and the Seven Dwarves will be out, and I hear it is the only place you can see the dwarves. We didn't realize that at the time and didn't make the time to see them. :guilty:

We went to MNSSHP in 2006. It was getting late in the evening, and we were in line to see Snow White with all Seven Dwarves. It was pics only, no autographs. I was afraid we wouldn't make it for pics before they stopped, and that was the last time of the night they'd be out. I was relieved when we did make it. We were smiling as we started to walk away. Just then, a character handler asked my kids if they'd like to ride Snow White's Scary Adventure with one of the Dwarves!!! They gave each of them a paper with a Dwarf's name on it & told us to be at the exit to the ride at 11:30. My daughter got to ride with Doc and my son & I rode with Sleepy!! My husband didn't ride so that he could get pictures of all of us. I'd read here of things like that happening to people. I'd never said anything to my kids, because I never thought it would happen to us!

So are you going to go late again and see if you can have some repeat fun????

I'm almost afraid to try it! Even though you could say "Don't expect it to happen twice" we would all still be hoping. At the time, I didn't even know SW & all Dwarves were out. We just happened upon them. I think DD wants to focus more around the HM this time. We didn't get pics or even ride HM during the party last time! Who knows? I think the best Disney magic just happens.

Does anyone know if the Columbus Day Crowds end the Monday of the holiday assuming that local schools are back in session on Tuesday? We're going to the party on Tuesday 13th and I'm hoping the holiday crowd will have dissipated. Also, how bad are crowds at the parks over the Columbus day weekend?

I hope they dont sell out of my date. I think Ill order the tix soon.

Can you buy tickets at your resort or only at MK?

Hey everyone. I'm going to MNSSHP for the first time in September with my girlfriend. I have a few questions, and if anyone could help me with them that'd be great!

1. I ordered our tickets on May 1, and I was wondering when I might receive confirmation in the mail if I am supposed to be sent any information?

2. I've heard that sometimes the park opens early for the party at 4pm even though it starts at 7pm. If we get there early, will it make a big difference then getting there for 7?

3. How many adults dress up? My girlfriend wants to, lol :confused3

4. (this one isn't directly MNSSHP related) Does anyone have an estimation on when September Park hours will be posted?

Thanks again!

1. We received our cards(admission tickets) in the mail way in advance. They are completely separate cards for the party. I remember that they came really early, because I remember trying not to LOSE them for the months before our trip! LOL

3. TONS of adults dress up! I took my 15 y/0 brother, 17 y/0 sister and my 2 year old last year. They all dressed up, but I thought I should be the "adult" so I didn't! I TOTALLY regretted it after I got there. Tons of adults were dressed up and it was so fun! Just make sure your costume isn't too scary or too "skanky" LOL! I saw a few costumes and I thought to myself, this is DISNEY WORLD, why are they wearing that! LOL

We're going again this October and I WILL be dressing up! :)

1. Maybe the CM did them as "Will Call" which means they will not be shipped and need to be picked up at Guest Services. You should call to find out because you definitely should have received them by now IF they were shipped.

2. The park stays open till 7:00p party nights and that is when the party officially starts, however, they start letting party goers enter after 4:00p with just their party ticket. The party festivities start at 7:00p. If you get there at 4:00p you can get some rides done or eat before the party officially starts.

3. Many adults dress up, some do not.
