Hi we're thinking of either doing MNSSHP in middle of September or MVMCP in November. Are the crowed not so crazy during these times?! Also worried about hurricane season and rain threatening to cancel the fireworks or parade shows?! Would hate to fly all the way from canada and pay for special tickets and have the shows cancelled. Thoughts on crowds and weather thanks

I've been to both. If given the choice, I'd definitely choose the Halloween party vs. the Christmas party. Better parade, better fireworks, by far, in my opinion.

I have done the Halloween parade 3x and am going back for #4 in September! We love it!!! I enjoy it more than the Christmas parade.

Halloween gets my vote. Have done both, and while Disney does an awesome job with the parks and resorts for Christmas, there's something a bit more fun about the Halloween party. If you are going in September, the crowds would not be too crazy for the party. We've done it in September and we've done it on Halloween night, and September was much less crowded.

Obviously, no way to know what the weather will throw at you, but I would bet you could count on one hand the number of times WDW has closed its parks for weather. Doesn't mean each attraction or meet-and-greet would necessarily be operating for the full party, but short of an absolute downpour, you can usually count on most of the activities being up and running in one form or another.

Halloween party hands down. Especially in Sept. The crowds are low and it is always such a good time. Love dressing up and trick or treating. We have been to parties in the rain and it is so hot that really we didn't find it too bad. I also find the parade and fireworks are better than the Christmas Party.
