Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party COSTUME Pictures - post here!

Here's Disney's "official" guidlines for costumes at MNSSHP:

They should not interfere with their ability to board and unboard attractions and WDW transportation system..

I was thinking about being Tinkerbell, but now I'm not so sure. I'm afraid the wings would break this part of the Disney costume dress code. Has anyone ever gone as Tinkerbell and had someone say something about it?

Yesterday I ran the Disneyland 1/2 Marathon. I had lots of time to think while running. LOL! :rotfl: I am going to MNSSHP and thought why not go as a runner. Last year I went to MNSSHP and just wore a Halloween shirt I bought at the park. I was hot the whole night. So I figure running clothes would be much cooler as obviously they are made to keep you cool while running. I could wear running shorts, shirt, shoes, my castle medal and race number.

I almost feel like I am "cheating" with my costume because I didn't have to make or buy anything. But then I also figure it would give me a chance to wear my medal that I earned and be able to show it off! :cool1: What do you all think? I would love to hear some feedback. Thanks!

Sounds like a great costume idea for the MNSSHP. After all, you earned the medal and why not show it off when you have the chance? Besides, I've heard that the weather has been hot and humid so you'll want to keep cool the entire evening, and all that running gear will certainly help. Have fun at the MNSSHP!

I still haven't figured out my costume, and I'm getting down to the crunch. Yikes!

I think that sounds like a great idea! Happy Birthday Eve, btw!!!

I am going to go as Queen Susan (from Narnia). If all goes as planned, I will be dressed in her red battle dress.

ohmygoodness- if you get this PLEASE post pictures!!! I want to go as Susan in her Green dress from the first movie!

Here's our family last year -- I wanted outfits to be cool and these fit the bill.

I made all of them

Cast:
Me - Wendy Darling
DH - John Darling
DS - Peter Pan (and a pirate ship 'costume' for the stroller)
DS's Nanny - Tiger Lily

Here we are back home on Halloween at our church Fall Festival -- note DS has leggings and warm shoes on - the shorts and sandals were NOT going to work in our cold climate!

I'm currently trying to figure out what we are going to do this year. It's really hard to come up with something for a woman of my size... :rolleyes1 (DS won't fit the Peter Pan top this year - and I'm not in the mood to make a new one LOL)
It will just be DS and me this year - DH can't take the time off and I thought it would be a nice getaway for just the 2 of us.

We didn't wear these at WDW, but they could be worn there...

Great costumes. I was wondering, I noticed your Wendy costume is almost touching the ground, did you have a hard time getting in and out of rides when you went? My costume is almost touching also and I was curious

As long as they're 'normal' Tink wings, it shouldn't be a problem. I've seen lots of wings at MNSSHP!! If you had a huge wingspan or really long wings you might have a problem. Basically, you want to be able to sit in them if you're going on a ride. If you can do that, you're fine.

Thank you! Yes, my dress/gown was full length. I did not have any problems with it. I simply lifted the skirt when I was getting on and off rides - and that was while I was making sure DS was in the right place/doing the right thing too. So, no, it was not hard. (and I was even able to hide my ugly - but very comfortable - Crocs under it! :lmao: )

Thanks for the info Travelingal. I was soooo worried about my skirt on my costume. Im glad to know it was not as difficult as i made it seem in my head. LOL

Great pics. Next year I'm trying to talk DH into going as Fred and Wilma Flintstone:scratchin

Aww I just love everyone's costumes! Last year me and my husband went to Disney for the first time for our Honeymoon in October. I wanted so badly to go to MNSSHP but we didn't get to :sad1:

this thread is amazing. my friends and I went down two years ago, and i'm going again in a little less than a month. last time, i was miss teen america and my friend was cinderella (she wore her blue prom dress). my other friends were a man and a lobster.

this year, i'm either going as cinderella (who i was last year, but didn't go to disney) - or, more likely, as Alice in wonderland (i have the dress done - just waiting for the petticoat to arrive) since my friends are going as the Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat, and the White Rabbit

hopefully I can get the picture link to work properly and post pictures at some point
