I presume the photographers are there when the party starts. I've seen lots of tips suggesting lining up for pics as soon as possible.
I didn't mean to imply that characters would be IN the professional pictures. (in case that's what you thought I meant ) I understand that toontown will be open so I plan for my girls to "meet and greet" characters there or wherever else they may be in the park
The photo areas are up and running when the gates open for MNSSHP.
This party is GREAT for finding characters...they're all over the place! In the past several of the "baddies" have been around the little park area outside the WDW railroad as you walk in MK.We've seen the Hag from SW,the Big Bad Wolf and Gov. Radcliff just to name a few.
I am thinking we will do the second parade since it sounds less crowded. Along w/ getting one or two big things done during the first parade (maybe our picture or something). However, does that make it pretty much impossible to get seating to view the fireworks, since most places will be had by people viewing the first parade.
I received my tickets for the 10/26 party. DD and I are going to have a blast and we'll drag DH around for everything. (We told him to take a nap that day.)
I thought it was interesting that the cover note says:
COSTUMES - Children are encouraged to attend the party in costume.
I figured they'd encourage everyone -- or maybe we're all children for the night!
kilee...we've never really "staked out" a place for fireworks but I don't think you'll have a problem finding a good spot .While most of the burst are up behind the castle these are special for the night and can be seen ALL over the park! One time we lucked into being on Splash Mt while the fireworks were going on!!! WOW! What a site!
Last year, we had a magical moment. We were on the monorail in the drivers compartment as the fireworks were going off. It seemed like the driver slowed down to let us enjoy the view. Truely magical.
hello! This is my first post to this site but and I can help straighten out some questions with regards to the pictures. The pictures are done by a local photographer and they have several locations set up in the park that night so the lines are never long. You will recieve your picture in the mail a few weeks later and if you like the picture, you have the option of ordering an entire package. The photos are a little pricey but, they are well worth it.
Mickey's Halloween Party is my favorite event and I missed last year beacuse I was giving birth to a new little Disney fan- Ashley Belle. We are going to be celebrating her first birthday in Disney and are counting down the days!!!
Congratulations on the birth of your Little Princess!
I've taken my little boy,Erich, every year since he was 13 mths old...he'll be 10yrs. old next mth! It's our favorite time to be at WDW too! Hopefully Ashley Belle will love it as much as her Mommy does!
What kind of costume do you have planned for her to wear?
My FH and I were planning on honeymooning at WDW, but at the last minute we changed our plans (we're taking the cruise instead). The problem is, I have 2 tickets to MNSSHP for Oct. 31st, but we're flying back home on the 30th...If anyone is interested in purchasing these tickets, please email me: Pryncessangelika@aol.com
Thank you for the welcome and the good wishes for Ashley Belle! We are going to dress her as Tinkerbell because she is tiny like Tink and just as feisty!! Big sister Lindsey (2 yrs old) is going to be Belle and we had to hide her costume because she wants to wear it every day! I'm still not sure what Mommy & Daddy are going to be yet.
Does anyone know what characters are out for the party? Is it the usual ones, or are they different? Also, where is the best place to find some of them? I'm trying to make a "spooky" autograph book for my kids and I'm hoping to have pages with some of the characters that will most likely be there.
Also, when are the parade times? And where does the headless horseman ride?
I'm trying to get my plans in order. I have tried to follow along with this thread, but I have missed out on some. I apologize in advance if I'm asking repeat questions.
Hi! Almost all the characters are out and all but the princesses are also dressed in costumes! They are out in the front near the main entrance and Pooh & company have their own special spot somewhere else in the park. Cinderella's carriage is on display behind the castle( great photos!) and Cinderella & her group are easily accessable there. You will have no problems getting photos or autogaraphs that night. I'm not sure of the parade times but there are 2 parades and the headless horseman rides down the parade route- this is VERY cool! This is such a great night- be prepared to have lots of fun!
