Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Central!

trracers...I live in East TN too and the princess costume sounds just perfect for WDW!

:earsboy: WELCOME to the DIS clh2!! :earsboy:

I'm not sure on what time you'll be arriving at the Swan or what time you're planning on attending the ice cream social.I do know that I highly recommend a nap or rest in your room the few hours prior to the party. We do this then head over to the MK between 5 and 5:30pm.

I think you can see everything you need to see and do in one night at a MNSSHP.

During your 3 days there you might like to go to EPCOT which has the Food and Wine Festival going on at that time of year. Also the new ride Mission Space will be open at EPCOT then. You also might like to visit MGM and maybe the MK during the day.

On trips that I've only been in WDW for a few days these are the parks I like to see!

JoNo....here's a link to some pictures of the parade: http://www.wdwig.com/mnsshp.htm

I just love the MNSSHP! we went two years ago, although it was crowded, at first, if you can hold out until after the first parade, the crowd thins down greatly. I am starting to get really excited now about our trip and I am finally starting to make some plans/priority seating. Will be going the Oct. 19th. Hope to see you all there!

We're doing the party on the 10th (our first time!!) and I'm hoping that Mickey's Philharmagic will be open since--I think--the media event is the 9th. Anyone heard anything about it?

We'll be going as Grumpy, Sorcerer Mickey, and a 3-year-old Barbie Swan Lake princess.

I have a question regarding the trick or treating around the park. Should DS bring a bag/bucket or not really enought places to warrant one?

This will be my first time, going on 10/14 & 10/16. Can't wait!!!

:earsboy:WELCOME to the DISBacs22!!!:earsboy:

campingcorgi...from what I'm hearing that is still the opening date for Mickey's Philharmagic.I hope it opens then as my family will be there the following week.

kilee...The CMs hand out nice size bags with a Halloween theme printed on them for your kids to do their Trick or Treating.

When we attended MNSSHP 4 years ago we were given a bag.
As I remember there are tables all over the MK where CM's are handing out candy.
:D

I have a couple of ?s about MNSSHP. If the park closes at 5, is everything still open to the MNSSHP ticket holders between 5 & 7?Do you have to go back to the entrance to get your trick or treat bag if your already in the park before the party starts?

We're on a disney cruise 10/25 - 11/1. Our first night onsite is 11/1. When I checked in May, there was a 11/1 date scheduled but I checked last week and the last date was 10/31. I called ticketing and they confirmed the last date was 10/31 but they might add days if it's popular. Anyone have information on whether there will be a 11/1 Scary party? It's a Saturday and they did have a 11/1 date last year.

Thanks.

:earsboy:Welcome to the DIS unclescroogefan & klynch:erasboy:

unclescroogefan...is everything still open to the MNSSHP ticket holders between 5 & 7? If you have been visiting in the MK during the day AND then stay and have a ticket for the MNSSHP you can. I've never done this but what I understand is they had everyone with MNSSHP tickets go into Tomorrowland....I'll find more out on this sometime this week since I've never exprienced this first hand. You can also make a priority seating at one of the restaurants there for 5p.m. and stay in the MK with your MNSSHP ticket for the time between your done eating and 7pm when the party officially begins.

You don't have to go back to the entrance they hand the trick or treat bags out all over the place.

klynch...I haven't heard if there will be a party on 11/1/03 but I don't think there will be this year because that IS a Sat. Last year 11/1/02 was on a Friday. There are no MNSSHP held on Sat.nights as that's a big night in the MK and they don't like to close it early.Sorry.

ok, so I know that this may sound silly, but what do they give out for trick or treating? ALso, does everyone who comes back for MNSSHP get a trick or treat bag? I am thinking that this could be way to much goodies to get back on the plane! LOL

i have a strange question. I know tou have to buy a seprate pass, but how are the people at the park going to know who bought tickets and did not. the people who did not but the tickets could lie about it. so i am asking how are they going to know who bought tickets and who did not?
:bounce: :Pinkbounc :earseek:

Hi all, this will be the first time that we have had a chance to go to the party,as before it was later in the month,my question is-How are the crowds?I have read in "WDW-the unofficial guide" that the crowds are horrendous! Only once have we visited in peak season & wouldn't do that again! So is it worth it?:jester:

Momto2....you may take a much or little of the candy as you want.
The amount you carry out of the park is up to you.
Leave it for Mousekeeping if you get too much...we do.

Kat 25.... Disney has 2 hours to get people out and make the switch over for the party.
We think it's better to arrive at 7:00 so when you go into the park the full inpact of the Halloween atmosphere hits you.
Don't worry Disney has the ticket situation handled.

Shooby....You mean you were at the park later in the month?
MNSSHP ends on the last day of the month.
I have been to WDW many times in Oct. and the crowds were not even close to horrendous.
Light crowds is one of the main reasons we go in Oct.
If your talking about horrendous at the party, Disney only lets so many in each night.
When I have attended crowd was not a factor.
But hey...... if you wait 5 minutes everything can change at WDW.
So who really knows...
Don't overthink it...
It's a wonderful event.
These are only my humble opinions.
And I know there are many more humble opinions out there.:D

This question is for anyone who has been inside when they usher the party guests into tomorrowland while they clear out the parks and get ready. How long are the lines there? Is it possible to get most of the rides in that area done? Also, for anyone who has stayed I am curious too about how they clear the park out. I realize that the party guests will get a wristband, but how do they get them to tomorrowland and the other guests out in a controlled manner?

:earsboy:WELCOME to the DIS Disney_Kat25 and Shooby doo!:earsboy:

momto2...don't worry y'all will get your treats on the plane! If you think you have enough goodies you just don't get into line to get anymore!:)

Disney_Kat25....you MUST have a MNSSHP wristband on to be able to do the rides, and yes the CMs DO notice...I've seen people not allowed on a ride and told they have to leave because they don't have a wristband on.

Shooby doo...I have never in my 9 years of attending MNSSHP found horrendous crowds.Oct is MORE popular than it was the first year I went but not as bad as the summer or Christmas time crowds, that I've encountered by a long shot! I love Oct at WDW because the weather has always been so good(last year was a bit warm). My family LOVES Halloween and at the end of the month Food and Wine Festival at EPCOT starts which we absolutely LOVE too...so YES I think it's worth it! :)

kilee...good question! I can tell you how amazed I am by how smoothly things go while going into the MK for MNSSHP...even at 6:30pm there are still day guests leaving. Getting in has always gone without a hitch for us! I'm sure getting MNSSHP guests to a certain area of the MK goes fine too! ;)
