Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Central 2004!!!!!! =0)

ok then ! now is there a price for the boardwalk ? where and what is it, please describe to a newbie mouse head :smooth:

First the Boardwalk is open year round. It has entertainment and activites all year long. It is free to everyone. Supposedly on Halloween night they have trick-or-treating as well as other Halloween related activities. I haven't personally been to the Boardwalk on Halloween, but others have reported it's a great alternative to MNSSHP.

In addition, you may want to try and plan a night there on a upcoming trip just to check out the atmosphere.

The Boardwalk is a resort area situated between MGM and Epcot. If you have a car you drive there. Bus transportation is a little trickier. If you come from another resort, you'll have to go to a park and transfer to a Boardwalk bus. You can walk from Epcot (it's right out the "backdoor" between Great Britain and France). A boat can also be taken from MGM or Epcot.

It sits on a lake that is surrounded by the Boardwalk, Yacht Club, Beach Club, Swan, and Dolphin resorts. There is a lot to do there even when it's not a special occasion like Halloween. There is the ESPN Club (DH and DS10's favorite place), Spoodles, Big River Brewery, Boardwalk Bakery, Atlantic Dance, etc.

For Il-Gander (Carla)

I bought my pin in Tomorrowland at the gift shop across from the Indy Speedway.

I ordered mine on the 2nd and still haven't received them....I am starting to worry! I am not far at all....mail takes a day from Orlando...................

I wouldn't worry. I honestly don't think they process them daily. Also, there is a chance that Frances could of delayed the processing. I would give it a few more days before you worry too much.

I opted not to have the tickets sent to me, and pick them up instead that day. Has anyone ever had any trouble with that? I'm starting to regret that decision. I know I would feel better having them in my hand.

JMac29-
We picked ours up at will call last year with no wait. We are doing that again this year.

I don't know if this question has been asked or not, but after wading through the first 16 pages and not seeing it and not knowing how many pages were in this thread, I decided to go ahead and ask.

If you get your wristband around 4 or 4:30, can you leave the park and go get something to eat say at one of the nearby resorts and return with your ticket & wristband or just your wristband?

We are going on Oct 29th and finally decided what are costumes are going to be, DD & I will be Pirate wenches and DH will be a faux Capt Jack Sparrow. You will know us, because we will be the ones with a Pirate wench who can't stop laughing  at her Pirate pirate: wannabe. DH got his wig today and tried it on and we all couldn't stop laughing even DH. :rotfl: :rotfl:

If we don't go out of the park for dinner, we will probably end up at the Columbia Harbour House. We all seem to like that.

I can't wait. This will be our first MNSSHP.

Since I've never been to MNSSHP before, I can only relate what I learned at MVMCP last year, but the special AP pins were in exposition hall, other pins were scattered throughout the park. They had the Christmas T-shirts and sweatshirts at World of Disney Downtown, and in the shops along Main Street in MK. I went right after Thanksgiving so all the Christmas stuff was out, not sure, when the Halloween stuff will come out. I will be snooping around for it in the next few weeks, and when I go to MK on Friday, I'll see if I can find out when it will be out.

Oh, I feel much better now! I did not get tix to MNSSHP for the 31st this year and I was regretting it, but now I will just enjoy the boardwalk and our PS at LeCellier at 8 PM. No regrets here!!:smooth:

HEY, we should get a mini DIS meet going for the folks who did not get tix but will be at the boardwalk on Halloween night!!

My wife ordered our tickets today for oct. 26th,how long do they usually take to get?

We ordered ours on 8/26 and they just came in the mail yesterday. We are in Tampa Bay and normally mail from Orlando would take only one or two days. They are definately not processing and mailing them immediately. Expect a couple weeks wait.

So, it's official for us now! We are so excited! :Pinkbounc :bounce: We'll be at the party on 10/14.

It's good to hear that others are noticing a delay too. I'm patiently waiting. Going shopping today for our costumes.

DH is now going as a semi-evil devil (not too scary), I'm trying to get DS to go for the angel costume (I know a long shot for an 11 yr old boy-- I told him I'd "boy" it up) then I could get the 1/2 angel 1/2 devil costume-- I think it's be cute.

Maybe this deserves a rebirth -

Poll - adults dressing up for MNSSHP

The only thing I'm now worried about is we've already got our costumes in order, now I'm concerned adults won't be dressed up on the earlier dates in October. (We're going on the 3rd.)

I guess we'll be dorks???

I'm going to MNSSHP on Oct 31st with my husband, sister in law & brother in law. I couldn't get any of them to agree to dress up, but it's my birthday & I said to heck with them I want to dress up. So if you all see a Minnie Mouse wandering around with 3 regular looking people that will be me & my crew. I can't wait & of course I have to find Minnie to have my picture taken with her. :earsgirl:

Melanie,

It's my b-day too! 37 for me! Ouch! Didn't plan on the trip soon enough to get tickets to MNSSHP, so I'll be the one dressed up crying at the gate!

Happy Birthday!
