Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Central 2004!!!!!! =0)

Hey all!
My first post on the Disboards......
I am taking my niece (9) for her 2nd trip to Disney. And we are going to the MNSSHP on October 8th. She doesn't know we are going yet, she thinks we are planning to go to the Beach. Also taking my parents, my aunt and uncle and their granddaughter (10) who has never been to Disney before!
My neice wants to dress as Wendy (from Peter Pan) and I can't find that costume anywhere, looks like I will have to break out the sewing machine.
I have gotten so much info just from reading this thread, thank you so much for starting it and to all who have contributed info to it.
We have our tickets, a different character on each one. I have not made a PS because the adults (since both girls do not know about the trip) have not decided wether we should make one or not. We plan to spend the whole day at the Magic Kingdom, we are staying off property. I have suggested that we try LTT or Crystal Palace, but would love to eat at Tony's. They take PS's, don't they?
Oh - and I ADORE these smilies!!! ::MickeyMo

Are you dressing up clr1194? My kids will be DD(5) Wendy, DS(3) Peter Pan, DD(21 mths) Tinkerbell. I'm thinking I'll buy DH a Captain Hook Hat and I may be Mr. Smee (or maybe just a T-shirt).

Can't wait!

Last year we did the Peter Pan theme! DH was Mr. Smee (I painted blue stripes on a white T-shirt), I was Wendy (blue dress), DS9 was Captain Hook, DS6 was Peter, and DD4 was Tink! We had a blast! We cannot wait either!

This year we are members of the Cincinnati Bengals football team, so if you see Chris Perry, Rudi Johnson, Carson Palmer, and two Chad Johnsons walking around the MK on 10/29 it's us!!!! DH bought us jerseys to wear to the Bengals games and insisted that we use them for Halloween as well!

We will be at WDW from Oct. 10 through 17 so we have 3 different nights to choose from. I was going to wait until we are there to decide which night and buy our tickets then. Is there any chance that those nights will sell out?

This will be our 4th Halloween Party at MK. We have never done the dinner at LTT, what time do the characters get into costume? If we get a 6pm ressie, will they be dressed up? Or is it only after 7pm? I spoke with CRO and they CM didn't know that the characters dressed up at all the nights of the Halloween Party.

This is the night we usually just do Casey's or Cosmic Ray's - the only "fast" food we will have during the trip. I would rather have a nice sit-down dinner if it is "special." Otherwise, we will stick with the original plan...

BTW, we have tixs for the 3rd!

They are dressed up from the beginning of the dinner hours which is 4:00p.

They wear eye masks.

Are there several different locations to get the photo?

Which spot usually has the smallest line?

Thanks!

The locations I know of are HOP, IASW, and by Buzz Lightyear. I'd say HOP?? But they can all get very crowded but then it dies down towards the end of the night.

The spot I had my photo taken at last year was in Adventureland in a building behind Aloha Isle. The line wasn't too long (this was right around 7 pm) and it moved pretty fast. BTW, Aloha Isle was not open during the party and I was very disappointed not to get a dole whip. If you need a dole whip during your trip, don't plan on it during the party and be disappointed like I was.

We are really looking forward to the MNSSHP. I want to ride the rides on this night, rather than fighting the crowds on other days.

I would love a list of attractions that will NOT be open on party nights, so I can be sure to experience them during day hours.

pirate: see you all on the 20th!!!!pirate:

What counter service restaurants are likely to be open during MNSSHP? We're doing the GF tea in the afternoon then going to MK for MNSSHP around 4.30 or 5 p.m. We won't want to have a sit-down meal at that point, but will likely be hungry by 8 p.m. We're happy to grab a snack at that point vs a full meal - do we need to bring our own, or will places be open? I'd really prefer something light and healthful like a salad at that point, after our rich tea! Do you think I'll have any luck?

Many counter service places will be open during the party. Only Cosmic Rays is open during that hour between 6:00p and 7:00p though.

DD10 and I will be at the 10/17 party! We're meeting up with a fellow diser and her DD11. We're all staying at POP.

We're very excited and it looks like so much fun!

Who else is going the 17th??? Where are you staying???

If you want to send me a PM I'll put together and post a list of who's going. Maybe a meet? Pin trading anyone?

Sharon

Yes, I have read on here that there will be "specialty pins" and that each guest can purchase 2...?

Is that correct?

Last year at MVMCP they have special pins if you hold an AP. There was a different pin for each night and the limit was 2 per AP. I'm not sure if there were other pins for non-AP's.

Hi all! My friends and I are going the 17th and very much looking forward to it. :D

Two questions that I haven't seen answered (of course, I haven't read through every single page of the book of this post. LOL!!)

1) If we get PS for before the party but in the park, can we take our costumes with us and change in the bathrooms? And/or if we don't get to the park until after 4, can we just come in costume at that time?

2) Do I understand correctly that if you're in the park and not eating at 6pm, then you'll be herded to Tomorrowland until 7pm?

Thanks!!

Hi everyone :wave2:

I was never interested in MNSSHP, (I'm not a big fan of Halloween), but when I clicked onto this post and saw Baloo's pic of Minnie, Donald and Mickey I got all gushy inside. For whatever reason, I want to cry...(happy tears)...I wanted to be a party of that magic!

So... I priced out some rates and airfare..."just to see" and convinced DH that we NEED to see MNSSHP ;) ...so here I am on this post.

I'm coming over to JOIN you guys!!! We'll be there only for a short time (Oct. 16-18) for a quick trip...I'm ordering the tickets tonight for Oct. 17th's MNSSHP! WOO HOO!!!

See you guys there!!! I'm SOOO excited! (THANKS BALOO for that wonderful pic and info! :flower3: )
