Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party Central 2004!!!!!! =0)

We plan on going to MNSSHP early (around 4:30 or 5:00) on the 12th. My question is about Wishes for the regular park guests. do they do Wishes every night? Should we expect they will do it that night? If so where is a good place to see it? Since we will be arriving at a time when many regular park guests are leaving should we expect many of the rides to be easily available? Like betwwen 5:00 to 6:00. Any recommendations on what to see at that time? I know we will be coralled in Tomorrowland between 6:00 to 7:00 so I imagine anywhere but there(Tomorrowland) before that time???? thanks!:D

Wishes will run just about every night in October BUT on MNSSHP nights there will only be the party fireworks shown. I went to MVMCP last year, not MNSSHP, and at MVMCP it was 'Wishes' at the party with Tinkerbell flying down instead of Rudolph who used to fly down at the parties (I did miss Rudolph :()...I would think that this year MNSSHP might also be 'Wishes' with maybe a Halloween twist. Remember that Wishes only started last Fall; October I believe.

So the only time you can catch Wishes are non-party nights or at the party at 9:15p IF they make it Wishes this year like they did MVMCPs last year.

I'd say do your favorite and popular rides between 5:00 and 6:00!

the fireworks at MNSSHP it definately not the same as WISHES...special for the night....very much worth it

I would say that many of the guests that have to leave at 6 are going to be running around trying to get on everything as many times as possible before they have to leave...just walk around and watch then..the lines are so much less during the party..many walk right on later in the evening

I have a couple questions,
we are planning a trip 10/27-10/30 attending MNSSHP on 10/28.
Friday evening we will be celebrating DD's birthday at 1900 Park Fare (I think) and a wishes cruise.
Will the wishes cruises still run on MNSSHP nights? Does anyone know an approx time?
I know they can't be booked until the 90 day window but I am trying to get all the family on the same page as far as trip info goes.
I am going to order my tickets either tonight or tomorrow after talking with all the family.

Now if I can only decide where to stay.

I don't know for sure if there will be a Wishes cruise that night but when you order your MNSSHP tickets ask.The CM should be able to come up with an answer for you.The fireworrks during MNSSHP that night go off at 9:15pm.

Lillygator!!! Finally someone else who is going on the 28th like me!!!

Baloo!! Thank you for this wonderful thread!! I have learned so many things!! I've made my PS at LTT, but the only time I could get was 7pm. I hope this is not too late.

I have my tickets to the party, I have Mickey, Donald and Goofy! I'm so excited!

Thanks for all the great costume ideas too! I'm going to get lots of use for my costume, because we are going on the 10/30 Magic Eastern cruise too!!

I hope to meet others from this board there too!

IMHO, that is pretty late...you will miss at least an hour of the party.

Most people eating at sit down restaurants are timing it so they are done before 7:00p so they can get the most out of the party.

IMHO.

You guys have made me so excited about this!!! I booked about a week ago (DU booked for me since I'm using them for hotel ressies - thanks Cathy!). BF and I really aren't Halloween people, we usually just stay home and pass out candy, but we definitely are Disney people, so we just had to experience this! Esp. since we loved MVMCP a few years back.

Are there many adults-only attendees, or do most have children?

I am also going on 10/28, and I asked DU to book me the earliest PS available at LTT, which turned out to be 5:50. Hopefully we'll get done in time to enjoy the beginning of the party!

Woo hoo, looking forward to this!!!

Btw, are the party shirts only available during the party, or do you think we'll be able to get them earlier in the day, or even a day or two earlier? Just don't want to have to carry an extra shirt around if we have to change, though I may just wear this really bright orange pooh/tigger shirt I have already (but I'd like to get something for BF).

After reading all these posts (at work, ssshhh don't tell the boss!!) I came home a looked at the back of my tickets, and guess what!! They were for the wrong date! I can't believe it!!!

I will be calling in the morning to straighten all of this out!!

Again, Thank you Baloo for this thread, It's been a godsend!!

I just want to make sure I have this right? You do not have to use a hopper pass along with the ticket? And is that the same for the Christmas Party at the MK also?

Thanks, DisneyDianne:earsboy: :earsgirl:

We are planning our first ever trip to WDW and are trying to decide which day would be best to got to MNSSHP. We are staying a week and will have 5 day park hoppers. We have two DS ages 6 and 12. both with special needs. They can't do many rides so that isn't a big consideration for us. We can go to the party either Sunday the 24th or Tuesday the 26th. Any opinions?
Sunday is EE for MK so if we go then, we will need to leave the park for a long afternoon rest break. Would this be do-able?
Or would it be less crowded on Tues? Thanks!
Marie

We'll be there on 10/3 too, but our PS at LTT is at 4:30--thought this would give us more time, so I went for the earlier one.

Maybe I'll see you there!

Steph

Do NOT miss the headless horseman. We watched him ride past the gallows in front of the riverboat last year. Sparks flew off the horses hooves. It was quite an image.

We're going 10/24 this year.

It is our 7th annual ladies trip and we are lucky enough to get both the Food & Wine Festival and MNNSHP all in one trip!

I can't answer your question.. .but I have one... What are Party Shirts? Are they shirts that have the Disney gang and the MNSSHP logo on them? DO they sell them? Do they date them? oo oo oo I think I want one.... and I don't even know what they are.

Hi there, I'm gunning for a mnsshp T-shirt too! I understand the're for sale in certain MK stores, with logo (and I'm guessing the year). Last year they had a tie-dye background, from what I have seen. I'll bet they'll be cool!

Baloo Thank you very much for this thread:hug:
DH has a convention in late October. There will be activities planned for us for some of the time. We were going to skip MNSSHP even though we had never been.

Thanks to you and so many of the wonderful dis people, We are going on October 24th and consider this the highlight of our trip.

Once again - thank you all for the information that is so helpful.::yes::

Thanks to all of you I was successful in changing my dinner reservation at LTT. I am now dining at 5pm. You all helped me learn that the earlier ressie is better.

Thanks everyone!!

Thanks everyone!!

Great to hear! So glad you were able to get an earlier time! 5:00p is much better!

I just called today to get our tickets for the 24th!! wooohooo!! It's so exciting to just make the plans final! This will be my second year attending and I'm not a big Halloween fan, but LOVED the party last year! The parade and fireworks are worth it alone!

I also did a PS for LTT at 6. I thought Rissa, my granddaughter, would enjoy eating somewhere she hadn't yet. I'll have to talk to her more about it when I see her this weekend. Characters dressed in Halloween garb with turkey pre-plated or Pooh. I got the feeling she'll go for the turkey since she's done the CP buffet lots of times.

Been reading/following this post, and now I am going!! Thank you Baloo for starting this and helping us along! Thanks to everyone else for their imput and excitement!

whew, so is it Oct yet? LOL
