I was planning on bringing some english chocolate, biscuits etc.

I have read that if you want pillowcases signing for the children (which I do) to leave some in the bag with the pillowcase there also.

I'm so pleased you got the auto train booked, hopefully you eill all be ready to party instead of being shattered!!!!

OK questions for the day:

1) I hear the CM's like candy on the boat anyone else planning on bringing them candy??? and if so what kind??


Booked the Auto Train from VA. yesterday...so excited..we don't have to drive..I can actually RELAX this time...

Hello fellow cruisers! We will be on this cruise as well. Have not sailed DCL before but we are avid Disney go'ers. Am hoping this will be as thrilling as our WDW vacations are. We will have our 8 yo DS with us. He is looking forward to the Oceaneer's Lab.
We would love to meet DisBoarders on ship. I have not taken the time to read this entire thread so am wondering if people are meeting at the sail away party and how you will recognize each other?
I have read about the FE and other stuff. Don't know if I will find the time to get all of that put together but will try to do the door decorations.

Welcome Aboard. Glad to have you join Mickey's Merry Cruisers. You'll enjoy the cruise and hopefully we'll have smooth sailing.

We plan on getting together, but where and when we'll meet up is still in the planning stages. Not to worry, we'll fill you in. the more the merrier!

No need to worry about FE etc it's too late to be added onto the list. Next Disney cruise plan on getting involved. You'll enjoy it, especially your son!

Thanks for the welcome everyone! Carol, I got your PM. Here's a little about us: We are in our mid 40's and from Iowa. I am short, my husband is tall. I have short, brownish red hair and he has brown hair with a touch of distinguishing grey. Our DS is actually our grandson but he lives with us so it is like we are his actual parents. He is 8 and a big Disney fan although very afraid of characters. Bizarre that he loves Disney so much considering that. We are a little apprehensive about cruising vs. the parks since he may have more character interactions on the boat? You will probably recognize us immediately...we'll be the ones that look like we don't know what is going on. Seriously though, we are looking forward to meeting you all. In the meantime, I'll keep checking the boards for tips on things to do!

Actually been snowed under with work - School holidays and the run up to them are always hard for us - why people have children if they can't look after them I'll never know but whinge over!

All I can say is i'm sooooo glad I have got 2DD's!!!

We are from the UK, (Unfortunately!!) we live in Cheshire. About 30mins away from Liverpool or Manchester depending which way you were going on the motorway!! or roughly the same distance to Chester, notsure you if have ever been to any of those places.

We arrive from the UK on 9th dec and are staying in a villa in Davenport. Got tickets to MVMCP on 11th, then back to the villa after the cruise until 30th Dec

Moll was unsure about going to the loft as she will only just be 13 but she might be happier going if she has got someone to go with

Really looking forward to meeting you, and don't be so mean let them pack

Hi Katie,

Heck, we haven't gotten our stateroom yet -still GTY. . .spoke to our TA yesterday and we should be hearing something in a couple weeks. Hopefully we'll know our room number by then.

Who knows...all of us may find out our room # the day of the cruise and we'll really be rushing around trying to figure out which FE gifts go where. No problem, because we're going to have fun.



A little over a month and we'll be on our way..................

We did ICE lastyear and enjoyed it. It was nice to see something a bit different. Makesure you have some warm clothing though as it is COLD!!!

I heard the cruise from the 12th got their room assignments. It doesnt matter to me actually. I don't plan on being in the room that much anyways. But yes the FE will be fun with us running all over. Maybe we should do that before we start drinking
