Hi Paula!
Thank you so much for the welcome, Paula!
Thanks Carol~ I was relaying all this info on the FE to hubby who got a pained look on his face and asked "could we hold off on jumping in with both feet? At least can we wait til we're sure we should jump?"
PM is coming your way shortly, <cough>tho knowing me I've already posted the number somewhere
Thanks again everyone! I'll probably lurk more than post (4 years on the Passporter and Dis boards and neither account has over 350 posts...) but I will be around!

Michelle
Hi Michelle, welcome to "MMC"
Have you been on a cruise ship before? - I know what you mean about travelsickness, i'm not a great traveler at all and was dreading our 1st Disney cruise 3yrs ago. I booked it for DH 40th birthday, seemed a good idea at the time until reality hit me "OMG WHAT HAVE I DONE"!!
I have a thread over on the Passporter boards labeled "Gulp - we're doing what?!" so I completely get the "WHAT HAVE WE DONE" feeling! Nope never did a cruise ship this size; ferrys and one of the dinner ship cruise things are about it. Strangely enough; I love roller coasters and have no issue but then again I keep my eye closed for most the ride
1) I hate water, I get sweaty palms and palpatations just going over brigdes
2) I feel sick on any mode of transport, car, trains, planes etc I just couldn't understand what possested me.to book a cruise!!
We have tried some of your travelsickness remedies whilst over in the USA but they have always made us really drowsy which is not great when you've got to look after 2DD'Sto look after
My DD also gets car sick, so a few years ago I discovered some soft & chewy pastilles called Traveleeze. It contains Meclozine Hydrochloride?? and also ginger. It's strawberry flavoured and basically you take it about an hour before travel or if you feel sickness coming on and it dosn't make you feel drowsy.
I made everone take them before we got an the ship, and then just took one every morning throughtout the cruise and nobody in my family was sick, in fact we didn't even feel it once. (oh what a lovely conversation!!). I'm notsure if you can buy them in the USA or whether there just for the UK market..
Unfortunately, looks like Traveleeze is only over in the UK, and the US version is called meclizine aka Bonine, dramaine II and a few other things - all of which I react to poorly to say the least. Thank you for the suggestion tho
I've got a couple of long car trips between now and Dec so I'll see how ginger pills and Sea bands do on that. Not that I get really car-sick but after about 5 hours, queasy is a good description~
Anyway long and short of it was that we had such a fantastic time, loved every single minute of it and are counting the days until 13th Decemberuntil we sail again!!!
My DD's are busy making there door magnets etc, there are 11 in our party, we are celebrating my parents 40th (Ruby) wedding anniversay and on 15th Dec the day we are at CC it's my DD's 10th birthday so lots of celebrations for us!!
Hope to hear from you soon
