**Mickey's Merry Cruisers** 12/13/09 4 night Wonder

:woohoo: Hi Jenn, great hearing from you and hope you had a fun vacation!

It's your choice when you want to drop the gifts off~This is my first time doing a FE, so I'll be doing them every night~I know how excited the little ones look forward to receiving things...remember what you were like when you were small. :grouphug:

You still have time regarding the room number...notice how many of us don't have them yet. :rolleyes1 ROFL

From what I understand, the children's clubs are fun and they are well taken care of...I'm sure you will get feed back from plenty of moms/dads.

Looking forward to meeting you. :goodvibes

Hi All!

This may qualify as a weird question - but what type of yogurt (if any) does Disney have onboard?

I usually have the Dan Active Probiotic drink every morning. We just spent 3 nights at Myrtle beach, and 3 different grocery stores were out of it so I just did without for 2 days. Was really was surprised to find out how much my system seems to need it.:flower3:

Soo since coolers aren't allowed (even the fabric ones?) if Disney doesn't have something probiotic on-board I'll need to work something out... Could I pack them in our water bottles with ice? the containers are pretty small~

OH DH name is Tim, for the record:goodvibes

Thanks!

Michelle

:flower3: Hi Michelle, I do recall reading that soft sided coolers are allowed on board. How do you think people bring beer etc on board? :goodvibes I'm sure you won't have a problem. From what I understand there are stores nearby.

Hi Melissa

Hope you and your family are doing well.:lovestruc

Kathryn and I are helping Carol out with the FE lists - well trying to anyway!"!!:rotfl2:

I hope you don't mind me asking but please could you let me have DH name and also your DD's, ive got the girls ages but no names.

Would be grateful if you could let me have them asap

Bet you are all getting really excited now were into double digits!!

Many thanks
Paulaxxx:love:
:santa: Hey everyone, all I can say is "Woohooo!" :yay::yay:

We are so excited to announce that me, my DH, and our 3 DDs (11, 8, 5 (almost 6)) will be joining you all on the Dec. 13th 4 night cruise. In addition to us we have 11 other family members traveling with us. For a total of 9 kids and 8 adults.:cheer2:

This is our first cruise ever, and December cannot get here fast enough. We actually booked our cruise last December and I have done lots of looking around for information but NEVER came across this discussion board, and never thought to even look for a discussion board. I am sooooo excited that we are now a part of it. Wish I would have found it sooner.

There is so much information here and I have to be honest my eyes hurt from trying to read it all. :) But I love it!

When I told my daughters about the discussion board and the other kids that are sailing with us they could not wait for me to get to know some of their parents, so they could possibly get to know some of the kids other than their cousins.

I have so many questions and don't know where to start. I think I will start with the whole door tag thing. Do you have to be a veteran cruiser to have one? Shadowryder, I am totally amazed at the talent of your designs. My husband and I totally want one.

Any tips you can give me regarding the type of clothing we should bring? I know it doesn't really get cold where we are going, but I just am not sure about what to bring. We are from Texas and it is never cold here, but when it is in the 60's we usually break out a light jacket cause that's a lot cooler than 102. ;)

Oh and like Carol, we would love any suggestions on where to stay the night before as well.

Hope to hear from you soon,
Melissa

Hi Shannon

Just sent a message to Naronjofamilyof5(melissa) and just relised I needed the same info of you two!!:rolleyes1:rolleyes1

Please could you let me have your DH name as well as you DD(4) and DS(9) - hope thats the right info?????:rotfl2:

Many thanks and looking forward to meeting with you all soon.

Hey Carol and other Merry Cruisers! Just stopping by to say hello...getting excited as the time for our cruise is nearing. I'm currently deployed and won't be home for another couple of weeks, so I haven't had a chance to even begin planning my FE gift yet...I hope I'm not too far behind the power curve.

Hi tde1969

Hope you and your family are well.:lovestruc

Kathryn and myself are helping Carol with the FE list, would it be possible for you to let me have your name, DH name and DS as we don't seem to have them:confused3:confused3

Really looking forward to meeting you all on board:banana:

Paulaxxx:love:
Thanks For the welcomes! I had already told Bill I wanted to have a get together. What's the point in a suite if you don't invite people over. lol

:headache:  :o

umm well quite seriously; I took the part about packing alcohol in your baggage literally. We were going to pack each beer and wine cooler in it's own cozy, then wrap in a cheap washcloth, then put two or 3 in a plastic bag - just in case of breakage......

That just got easier--- I take it no ice is still the rule tho?

BTW WOOT! we got all our reservations!! :dance3::cheer2::dancer:party: I should have check our email sooner while on vacation:laughing:

Day 2:

We've got Palo's Mon night at 9pm so we have a chance to visit our restaurant that night. We're requested 2nd seating and PTTA rotation. And since this is Formal night usually we should be good w/ just one super nice outfit:teacher:

We've got the Sea Lions booked for Nassau but I'm iffy about it simply from the "will I feel up to it" part but I've got til Dec to run thru some remedies and at least see how the side effects are~~

Castaway Cay/Day 3:
We have parasailing booked for Tim. Again iffy on this because $80 bucks for 5-7 minutes seems like alot OTOH Tim seems excited to do it....

Also booked the extreme getaway package for both of us: includes snorkling, Manta rays, biking, and a float rental.

Day 4:
Sea Day - got a Spa villa booked!:cool1::love::cloud9: This would be our big splurge for the trip~

Many thanks to our TA Doris w/ MouseEars travel for handling this:thumbsup2

I think the Romance package just paid for itself:angel:

I've heard a bit about hairbraiding on board - I do know to go to deck 9 to book it- can I charge this to our shipboard account or is it cash only? About how much do you tip?

Yes! under 100 days~~ I'm so excited about this--- I keep overlooking our WDW trip in Oct! LOL

hello everyone 98 days wow its almost here cant think of any thing else but this disney cruise i am so ready for this and i really need a vacation this is my first disney cruise but ive been on 6 cruises with carnival i love to cruise i think im becoming a addicted lol we will be driving in a day early we thought about flying with the grand kids and all because we dont know how aggravated they would get in those car seats but we are going to give it a shot we were thinking of staying at the radisson with the park & shuttle package question do we have formal night or captain's night the night we are in the bahamas and also is pirates night when we are in castaway cay also what night do we have dinner in the animators dont really understand what nights we eat in differ resturants sorry im long winded thanks debra

Hi Debra

We don't have a formal night as such it's more of a dress up night and that is on the Monday.

Tuesday - Castaway Cay -its the night of the Pirate Party.

As for the dining rotation you won't know until you get to the port - there's 3 different restaurants (Parrot Cay / Animators Palete / Tritons) and you visit them each once and repeat one for Pirate Night but you have the pirate menu that night.

The rotations are

TAAP
APPT
PTTA

HTH

:surfweb: Been looking over the thread, reading my PMs and emails, and noticed I had a few Mickey's Merry Cruisers asking the same questions about the FE.

If only our children are participating in the FE, do we have to get gifts for all the adults?

:confused3 I believe this can be answered by one person, and that is the adult/adults with the child/children. It is your choice . . .just make sure you don't forget the children. :grouphug:

It's the thought  ;)

Any other suggestions...this is my first time with FE. We're playing it safe, we're getting everyone something. :grouphug: Not much, but it's the thought.

Besides I don't want anyone getting upset with us...I don't want us to walk the plank. :lmao:

Luv you all  :flower3:

almost 96 more days

Hi Carol:love:

Just to let you know that me and my family would like to exchange for adults as well as children - in for a penny in for a pound as the English say:laughing::laughing:

We have got three cabins between our group so me and my family(4 of us), my Parents, and my brother and his family (5 of them) will be exchanging as three seperate groups as we don't want people to think that they have got to get gifts for 11 and only receive one back. I'm sure that all our MMC wouldn't think that way but we would feel alot happier doing it this way if that is ok?:grouphug::grouphug:

Were all getting really excited and can't wait to meet everyone:banana::banana:

Love Paulaxx:love:

Hi all of MMC:love::love:

I hope none of you will take offence at this post, and please don't think i'm being presumptuous, but I just wanted to let you know about my DD Harriet.

Harriet is 9 and has a severe allergy to all dairy products, so I hope you don't mind me mentioning this regarding the FE gifts:confused3:confused3

How are you all doing with your gifts????????

Were having great fun planning ours!!!:banana::banana:

Really looking forward to meeting you all:cheer2::cheer2: and once again hope you don't mind the post??

Love
Paulaxxxxxx:love::love:

Hi Paula,

:goodvibes From the Spreadsheet Moll made for the FE it looks like she has everything covered, including allergies. This is a great idea.

If anyone else has allergies ~ please PM Paula and bring it to her attention as her daughter, Molly, is making a spreadsheet with all the information.
She's doing a terrific job. :woohoo: She's a sweetheart and so is her sister Harriet. ;) I'm looking forward to meeting them. :grouphug:

So we have the kids covered what about a Christmas ornament exchange for the adults. We used to do this at work when we had a large staff and it was great fun. The only rule was you either made an ornament or purchased one and it could cost no more than $5.00 and of course it could be somehow Disney themed. We could do it one per couple rather than every person. At the office we then picked a number from a box that actually contained 2 of the same number and we had to find the person with our number and then exchange ornaments. Just an idea I thought I would throw out there.

Trigal,

I love that idea! I think I'd like to know in advance whom I'm exchanging with so I could personalize the ornament, including accounting for other religions, but that is hardly a deal breaker either-

Anyone else up for it?

Michelle

Hi Debbie,

:confused3 You're sure confusing me! I haven't a clue what you're intending to do. You previously mentioned that you you are not participating in the FE, but yet you're making comments as though Jo and you are on the list.

If you and Jo intend on participating please let us know so we can add your name to the list. ;) Mickey's Merry Cruisers :santa: want to make sure they have the correct number of gifts according to the list. :surfweb:

:flower3: Thanks so much for understanding. :littleangel:

We are not on the list for the FE. My idea was a separate event for the adults and would have nothing to do with the FE. Only those couples that would like to participate would be involved and it would only mean you make one ornament to exchange with one couple. When we did it at work it was a way to get to know your fellow employees because we were so big and we were in multiple parts of a building and it was a good way to get everyone to mix and mingle at the Christmas party.

Sorry to confuse you.
