Mickey's Halloween Treat

DCA will close early on those nights. The park is cleared. After the park is readied for the event, ticket holder for Mickey's Halloween Treat are allowed back in. That way special event ticket holders have the park to themselves.
The park will probably close around 5pm. Someone here can verify this for me. I never paid attention to the closing time for this event. I have gone every year they have had this event. If you want to stay in the park for all your nights, then yes you would have to pay for the 5 nights. You will only need one night. The park is open during the day and you should be able to experience most attractions during that time and those days where MHT is not held, the park will stay open regular hours.
So is the ToT'ing at DCA or DL? If it's at DL then it really isn't worth it to go during that time because to get the most of the time there you would have to buy the regular park tickets AND the ToT'ing tickets???

Now I'm curious on this, if they close both parks early......

TorT'ing is only at DCA. DL will stay open late (or at least normal hours for October) those nights. In October, DCA generally closes early (6:30 maybe) during the week anyway so it just closes a bit early for the TorT nights that fall mid-week.

Not to hijack the thread or anything (there's some good info on here!), but I noticed that several of you are buying tix already and I thought it would be fun to have one reference thread where everyone can post the dates they will be there! :yay: :cool1:

I thought it would be fun to see which other DISers will be at the party when you are, so I've started a list if anyone would like to add their name and dates to it. :)

PERFECT!! That answers my question. I was nervous they closed down DL early, that just didn't make sense! Now I get it! :thumbsup2

Thanks!

I don't know the answer to your question, but no question is a bother. That is how you learn. It also answers the question for someone else as well!

I've learned a ton here by reading the questions and answers from other people!

Hi There, I called this number yesterday (714) 781-4400 and was able to buy them, it is not on the Disney Visa Rewards site yet, but you can get them over the phone.

That is the number I called to purchase mine also. Just tell them you have a Disney VISA card.

Sally. I dont see why you cant get a AP, I'm canadian and looking to get one, there is 4 levels of AP to get, 2 are for Southern Cal people and 2 as far as I know (deluxe and Preim) are for anyone. At least thats my understanding.

Glad I could help with the date.

I'm from Germany and in the same boat. Can't get a Disney Visa and I can't get an Annual Pass either. I'm in a WDTC booking with another person, and they said we'd both have to switch to Annual Passport if I want to switch. I thought about doing it to get the tickets earlier, but both of us switching would be way to expensive.

So August 1 it will be. :wizard:

Sorry to post the same question twice - but I think mine got lost in the shuffle.
I was wondering how busy it generally gets on weekend nights? Like when its sold out are the rides still walk on and the trick or treat and character lines short? Thanks!

Sorry - last year we went on Thursday so I don't know about weekend nights. I can tell you that a lot of the people that were there had young kids and seemed to trick-or-treat, see the characters, and watch the parade - and leave before the event was over. Therefore, most (or all) of the rides had very short lines.
The trick-or-treat lines moved pretty quickly - with the exception of the one through the Grizzly River Rapids cutover (it had about 3 stations and got pretty backed up - we just skipped the first station and then breezed through the others).
My kids were old enough that they didn't care about the characters too much so we didn't stand in line for autographs.
We did try to get seating a little early for the parade but probably would have found a sufficient place even at the last minute.
The other note is that not all of the rides were open - maybe 1/2 to 2/3 of them were open, although I actually don't remember exactly. And they had free boardwalk games with candy as prizes. Those lines were a few people long.

Hopefully that helps a little even though it was Thursday rather than Friday. You could call the phone number (see earlier post) and ask how many tickets they sell for each night.

If anybody is considering getting a Disney Visa I would be glad to give you my referral number. Disney Visa had been doing a referral program, and from my understanding, we both get extra points!! And hey, we can all use extra points, right!!

Just PM me if you are interested and I will give you my referral #.
Thanks!

To those of you who carry a Disney Visa...did you have to actually use it for the purchase or just tell them you have one?

Since each night has the same number of tickets and they all sell out, it doesn't matter which night you go which is kind of nice.

Thanks everyone for your responses here and everywgere! I was not real sure where I was posting and am glad that you moved me to the right place. Now I have to get an AP to get my tickets. I am afraid they will sell out before August!
