Mickey's Halloween Treat

I just called (714) 781-4400 (got this number from another msg. board) and they told me that Disney VISA cardholders can also purchase tickets at this point - same dates and prices.

I just got off the line with Disney Ticketing. Some posts had me confused because people elsewhere claimed the general ticket sale started also.

The nice lady I spoke to took pity on me because I was calling from overseas. She told me that the projected start date for the general ticket sale is currently August 1. I hope this helps everyone. :)

Got ours today as well, for Oct. 31!! They were $37!!:scared1: More than we paid last year ($30).

Just incase anybody is wondering they also charge a fee of $10 to have them mailed.

And yes, the release date for the general public (without APs or Disney Visas) is August 1, and the prices are supposed to increase as well.

HTH!!

As a side question....is this worth the price of the tickets? What all happens? Is it pretty much trick-or-treating?

Do you buy tickets for everyone or just the kids?

Is it crazy busy on Halloween?

Thanks and sorry for all the questions :lmao:

I think it is worth the price of tickets. You get to ToT at stations located around the park, they provide you with a bag when you walk in the gates. They have a cavalcade of characters and only ticketed guests can be in the park for those hours. So....you have like half the people there. Little to no wait on all the rides, they have villans out (we saw Cinderella's Step-Monster and Step-Sisters) too. It is fun and for us, it's worth it.

I just booked our tickets for October 23rd, see everyone there!

Just bought mine for the 23rd too. This is soo exciting. I'm in the counting down to our WDW trip mode. We leave in 4 weeks. Now I have to look forward to this event as well. I'm in a happy place!!

Adults need a ticket to get in, but they also get to Trick or Treat... Makes ya feel like a kid again!

This was the highlight of our trip last October....so much fun! Tons of CMs in costumes when you first come in, great photo ops. We loved the trick-or-treating, dancing with characters and very short lines for rides. We just bought our tickets for October 16...can't wait!:cheer2:

Cool! That's when we are going! :cool1: :thumbsup2

Ugh...I can't stand it anymore!! Hearing about everyone already purchasing their tickets and me not being able to get my hands on them until August, has prompted me to do the unthinkable.....................

I applied for a Disney Visa. :headache:

Luckily I manage my finances very well and will use it only as neccessary.

I used my Disney visa to get the tickets and there are quite a few perks to having it and using it for your vacation.

There's a character meet and greet w/photo for disney visa, free stroller rentals, and I think 10% off dining.

That is the only thing I use mine for, I keep it in a lockbox at home so I won't be tempted to use it when I am at them mall.

Thinking of trying this out! Can anyone tell me how busy it typically gets for the weekend nights? Part of the perk would be lack of crowds

Ok I'm confused now :), We are planning a family trip down in DL from Oct 25 to Nov 1st. We thought about doing 1 night for Mickeys Trick or treat. Which means we need to spend $100 for 4 of us (looking at one of us getting an AP pass) I noticed there is ToT for 5 nights when we are there. (27,28,29,30,31) where I'm confused is, does the park close for this event? So we have to vacate the park at 6:30 most nights? I dont feel like spending an extra $500 for the week :) Anyways if anyone can clear this up that would be great, and on a side note, does anyone know if the deluxe AP pass inlcude the 10% discount at Goofys kitchen on a Char breakfast?

Thanks Winky

DCA will close early on those nights. The park is cleared. After the park is readied for the event, ticket holder for Mickey's Halloween Treat are allowed back in. That way special event ticket holders have the park to themselves.
The park will probably close around 5pm. Someone here can verify this for me. I never paid attention to the closing time for this event. I have gone every year they have had this event. If you want to stay in the park for all your nights, then yes you would have to pay for the 5 nights. You will only need one night. The park is open during the day and you should be able to experience most attractions during that time and those days where MHT is not held, the park will stay open regular hours.
The Deluxe AP will give you the 10% discount at Goofy' Kitchen for all hours of operation. Hope that helps!

So you can pre-book October 31 after all? Going from the first post I thought the tickets would be on sale on the day only.

Sorry im confused. Can disney visa holders buy them now too or just ap holders?
