Mickey's Halloween Party Selling Out

I am in desperate need of HELP... We were supposed to be there for Monday the 15th's party and when we were going to buy our tickets it said SOLD OUT....YIKES :crazy2:

I didn't expect this as we did the Monday party last year with no problem. So of course we cannot change our dates and our biggest reason for going on the trip is sold out. :sad1:

Does anyone who has been to the Sold Out Parties this year know if they release any tickets the day of the party?:confused3

So, let's wrap up what we have so far :

1) It will feel crowd but it's manageable, which is a good thing!

2) Meet and greets : characters that are available during regular hours should be skip during the party (like Jack and Sally or Mickey and Minnie)

3) Parade : good thing to wait for the second one

4) Fireworks : plan to not see it in front of the castle, even if we will miss some effects

5) Trick or treating : don't worry about lines as it moves very quickly or wait near the end of the party

Thank you everyone, I'm sure we'll have a blast anyway.

You will have a blast!! Especially if you take into consideration all of the tips on here! Also, try to be in Town Square when they are rotating out the villains (I think it's every 20 minutes during the party). They put on a very cool little "show" while changing. We loved it and it was one of my favorite things of the night!

I wonder if the party on Halloween will sell out since it's on a Wednesday? Anyone have any thoughts about this?

I think if Mon/Tues parties in early Oct. sold out (which they did), Halloween definitely will. But I'm new to this event.

I know last year on Halloween some celibrities showed as well as on of the local news stations. I think it was either ch. 2 or ch. 9. I wasn't there but, I saw the t.v repot and it looked crazy croweded. I wonder how they managed with the celebs there.

Every year we have been on Halloween, it sold out. Quite often, by now. If you want tickets, I would get them now.

We have a local friend who was going to join us for this Friday, but has had some financial hits and doesn't feel she can handle the extra expenses of being in the park. She already has her ticket, but is wanting to get out of it.

Does anyone know if Guest Services will refund tickets?

From what I understand, all tix are non refundable.

There's plenty of people who would want to buy it. Although, FYI- you are legally not supposed to do that....

The tickets are listed on the back as non-refundable and the terms and conditions one agrees to on the website also says they are non-refundable.

Are you sure it's "illegal" to resell tickets--as in, you can be fined or arrested for doing so?

I'm pretty sure what Disney is trying to avoid is scalping, not making someone with an extra ticket who can't come to a sold out party get stuck with the expense and for the ticket to go unused.

From what I could find online, it is legal in the state of California to resell tickets on the grounds of an event provided the tickets are not sold above face value. Anyone else have any more info?

The language is an out for Disney to dishonor the ticket if they think it has been brokered. That doesn't mean, however, that there is any criminality involved unless you engage in scalping.

Most states allow you to sell tickets at face value (some do let specific brokers sell them for higher amounts).

That being said, even though Disney says you can't resell them, that would be up to them to disallow the ticket being used or, if they really wanted to pursue it, file a pleading in court. But this is a contracts issue, so there is no criminality, only a civil issue.
