Hi all,

This may seem like a silly question, but is it weird for just two adults to go to Mickeys Halloween Party? The hubby and I are planning on going to DL the first week in October and since i've never been during Halloween, i'd really like to do Mickey's Halloween Party. We don't have kids and I don't feel weird whenever we go to to the parks at any other time. I just didn't know if i'd feel different at all at a Halloween Party that's advertised more for kids. Anyone else gone who doesn't have kids or who went without their kids? Is there anything that can't be missed at the party?

I should add that we plan on going regardless, but I just wanted to get some opinions.

Thanks!

Fiancé and I have been to MHP the last two years. Never felt weird or anything being two adults with no kids. We even trick or treated!

I went with a friend last year and had a lot of fun. I dressed up as Briar Rose and she dressed up as Moana and we did character meet and greets and everything. We left the kids at home with our husbands.

The only bad part was that the fireworks didn't happen, but oh well...

Not weird at all! I went solo to two Halloween parties last year & it was a blast. There were tons of adults without kids both nights, way more that I had expected. My main suggestions are to make sure you get to see the fireworks (fingers crossed that weather conditions will be right on your party night!) as I think those are really the best fireworks Disney does. Also, check out the Cadaver Dans floating on the river singing spooky songs. They are great.

Its a lot more fun with a costume. It must be Disney, no nurses or baseball players. This year I am guessing a lot of Bells. Tweedle Dee and Dum is cute and easy. I am always Woody

My partner and I have gone together once, and we went once with a group of adult siblings and friends - both times were really fun. There are a lot of other adults there. I would say don't miss the Cadaver Dans, some of the more well-decorated treat trails (I look for comments from people who go to earlier parties than me), and the parade. Personally, I'm not big on character meets, but if that's something you're interested in from what I gather you should do some research and strategize a bit because that can use up a lot of time. If you want to do rides and treat trails, there really isn't any planning necessary other than making it back to main street for the parade and/or fireworks.

Me & my daughter have gone the last 3 years she's 20 years old. I think it's really fun to go and experiencing being a kid again and trick or treating. At first I was even afraid to ask if adults trick or treat or even dress up. But everyone of all ages dresses up & trick or treats. We liked it so much that we're addicted to Halloweentime over all other times. This will be out 4th year going. Its now become an annual tradition. Its a blast! You two will have so much fun!

Thanks for all the replies everyone! I definitely want to watch the fireworks, fingers crossed for no wind the night we go. Im also glad to hear that adults trick or treat also, since thats one thing im looking forward to just so i can be a kid again. I want to dress up, not sure as what yet though. Hopefully i can get the hubby to dress up also.

I also like the Halloween parade and photo ops with the Villans. Everything is lit up Halloween style. It is so cool!

My wife and I went last year and liked it a lot. I encourage everyone to go at least once. Its the first time either one of us has gone trick or treating in well over 20 years. Neither one of us cares much for parades but the Halloween parade was awesome!! I say go for it.

I've been with my mum several times. We aren't in to dressing up but enjoy looking at the clever things other people wear. Love the trick or treating, decorations and fireworks. Go and have a blast!

I do most of my DLR trips as a solo adult (despite being married, with 3 kids, and 3.9 grandsons--#4 will be here in 3 weeks).

Last October, I went on my own to Mickey's Halloween party. It was fun, and I totally didn't feel weird being an adult there without a kid. Actually, I feel like there's a lot of adults there without kids! They don't treat you any differently. They actually may give you more candy ;) I enjoyed being able to get the rides in with little wait, but enjoyed the ambiance much more than I expected!

Dress up, and enjoy your evening!

Thanks for clarifying the 3.9 grandsons, when I first saw it I was a little confused lol. I'm glad to hear that it sounds like a lot of adults go without kids. I'm definitely looking forward to going! I love Halloween, and a Disney Halloween is just so much better. :upsidedow

There is a lot of things to enjoy that night, but seeing the costumes is a great a part of it. Some of the princess dresses are amazing. Then there is always the super clever why did I not think of that group. Just a fun night. I would say its really more adults than kids.

My wife and I left the kids at home and went on Halloween and her birthday (11/1) and we had a blast.

The best part is Halloween Party we went to was on a Thursday and most families left early and every ride was practically walk on for the rest of the night.

My girlfriend and I go every year with no kids, and we always dress up too, oh and we get as much candy as possible so zero shame :P

My friends and I are in our late 20s, no kids and have been going every year for the past 5 years. We have even convinced my friends' parents to go with us and we have a blast. If things don't really change this year from last year, don't miss the Halloween Screams fireworks and the new parade. Both are completely awesome and well worth it. Here is a picture of us from last year. (Maleficent is Fauna and Merryweather's mom)
