Mickeys Grand Welcome Surprise for teens

I'm in my 30s and I would be thrilled with it. But I am a little childish too. :goodvibes I say it really does depend on the teen.

I have 2 DD's who are not quite teens yet (oldest will be 13 later this year and youngest turns 11 in 3 weeks).

I can tell now that my oldest would be lukewarm to it. She'd enjoy it, just not be really enthusiastic about it.

My youngest I know, even when she's a teen, would LOVE it! She's so much more innocent than my older daughter.

thank you all! My DD15 CAN be super sweet/innocent type and other days UGH!!! I am afraid doing this with her friend on the trip might embarrass her a little as her friend is super quiet, not real emotional type so I think my DD would hold back. Would LIKE it but I think better ways to spend the money. Wish this were around when she was around 6 or 8 she would have flipped! Hate seeing them grow up....:guilty:

I think that it looks a little juvenile for a 15 year old. Maybe you can find something a little more "grown up" for her? I know that they have a teen princess in-room celebration, or you could customize a gift basket.

That is so cute!
I love it & I'm 53!
If your daughter is a disney person & loves the characters she'd like it.

For that kind of money, you can make your own basket, you could even do one for the friend. Get stuff they really like. Ship it to the resort. I have done this several times. They will put it in the room after you have checked in. Just tell them at the desk when you check in, that you are going to be out of the room at such a time, and they will do it while you are gone. Mine were awesome, and a lot cheaper. You could get anything you want on Disney shopping.

My dd would not like that at all and she is still a little innocent and childlike. She would prefer an Alice in Wonderland theme ;)

OP here. Thanks guys! I found these cute little totes and my neighbor, whose daughter we are taking, is very artistic so she is personalizing the totes with Disney stuff and names etc.

Then I added a gift card, cute sunblock, Disney snacks, a customized tour book that I worked on and came out SOOO cute over the last month...and I ordered from amazon the new easywdw for my daughter b/c we love Josh and I got the friend Hidden Mickey Book.

Cost for everything including the gift cards was under 70! I do wish I had a cute plush to tuck in there like lady and the tramp but don't. But came out cute!

Good idea. That Disney basket is GROSSLY overpriced...$315? Seriously?!

Glad to see that you came up with a different idea!

My DD would have liked that at any age (she is now 20). But the price made me go :crazy2:

my dd is 15 and for that price, I wouldn't get the reaction I hoped for. I would make a basket of surprise treats or decorate your window together
