I bought it at least 15 years ago, and it is a traditional decoration in our house. It's irritating and wonderful! My daughters used to play it constantly. Fortunately, it now irritates them as much as it does us, but it still decorates our organ every year.

It's not Christmas without Mickey's Clock shop!

One year my dh and stepson pretended they couldn't find it in the attic. HAH! I climbed the ladder and found it in 5 sec. flat. Hee hee! They didn't think I would. To this day, they swear it was hidden - riiiight!

I like it but I can see how it would get irritating.

We've got one too... Had it for about 15 years or so... DW bought it originally just to irritate me...

Now that we have kids, they play with it occaisionally..

I own one. Sam's Club had them way back when. Didn't put it up this year,
cause I'm running out of room for Mr. Christmas toys.

We have it. I love Mickey, but it gets old really quick! Maybe the kids love it too much. That might be it!

I have that!! I bought it at a thrift store several years ago. Mine doesn't have stands though, bummer! I didn't put it out this year since I'm in a smaller place now. I love it though! Annoying at times, but it's cute

Oh, too funny! My sister just brought this over. She's moving and found it as she was packing. I googled "Mickey's Clock Shop" just to see what it's going for on ebay and such and this thread came up in the search.

Holy cow, that thing is loud! Fortunately, we did find the volume control, but it's still going in the yard sale pile. My boys liked it, but I just can't see putting it out each year. I'd go mental.

I have that! We haven't put it out for the past few years though, as we don't really have a spot for it... but most of my childhood, it was a signiture decoration in my house!

!!!! We have this too. We bought early in our marriage, Christmas of 1993 or 1994!!!! Just like you, it's not Christmas unless this tacky wonderful thing is out on the kitchen counter!

We have one. Although I am pretty sure it is in the storage unit a few states away. We still haven't gotten around to cleaning that thing out. Luckily it has Mickey, Minnie, and Donald animated christmas figures to keep it company. Now that I think about it, I think almost everything in that storage unit is Disney. (I worked for TDS in the 90's and spent every penny I earned right back in the store.) I don't think I could ever get rid of it. One of these years I am going to do entire room for Christmas in just Disney. It's good to have a dream!!!

We have one of these. My father bought it when DD15 was a little one and they had it at their house.

He died in 1995 and Mom kept it up every year. But in 2005 when DH and I were married, the following Christmas, she passed the clock shop to him. He has the "Griswolditis" about decorating like my Dad did.

My kids love it. Especially DD15, she says it is one of the few memories she has of Papa (she was only 2.5 when he died). She can remember him turning it on for her.

I have it and it has a lot of sentimental value for me. When my grandparents sold their house, and everything they could in it. This is what I got from them. My brother got something else....bears playing trumpets or something of sorts. But Disney was a connection that my nana and I had. My grandfather made sure this was packed up and put in the moving truck from FL to MA for me. They returned home after 19 years of living in FL, when my Nana was dying. My Papa died less than 8 months after him.

So for me, it makes me think of them. Although, I was playing it and my darling 6 year old asked me to turn it off He said he had enough of it.
