If we go to Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, where should we make dinner reservations? Where is the best place to eat during the party, for whatever reason (Christmas shows, etc.)? We were going to do Cindy's Royal Table, but I found out Cindy is not around during dinner time, so we'll have to book it for lunch or breakfast on another day when we visit the park. Thanks.

Last year it was the Plaza and Liberty Tree Tavern open during the party.
All the other sit down places close. We at counter service at tomorrowland so we could have more time to enjoy the party. You could always make early reservations prior to the party so that when you finish eating the party is just starting.

I beleive that the characters at both Liberty Tree Tavern & Crystal Palace are dressed for the Holidays. If you make a reservation I would suggest that you schedule it for the earliest dinner time you can get. This will allow you more time to enjoy the evenings festivities which don't officially start until 7PM. Past practice has been to allow Party guests in on the Party ticket starting after 4PM which gives you three hours before the party officially starts. Many people book the early dinner seatings to take advantage of this. The dinner seatings usually start around 4:30 or so. If you wait to have dinner until after 6pm you will miss more of the party doings and you'll be too full to enjoy your cookies & cocoa.

When we went in 2004 we had an early PS for Cindy's. She was downstairs. We were done eating by 5:30 or so, and they hadn't let anyone else in the park yet, and all the day people had left. We were able to walk around Fantasyland and frontier land by ourselves. Finally a castmember told us to follow him to BTMR and let us ride it 4 times in a row by ourselves. It was great. Then we were the first people in line to do the free photo. We had been able to get our wristbands at the gate when we got to the MK at like 4:oo that afternoon. It was a great way to get a leg up on everyone, even on a slow night.

This is just a quick note to say...whatever you do, don't go to Tony's. We did that last year before MVMCP and had an absolutely dreadful start to our evening. the surly, unpleasant waiter who must be the-rudest-man-in-the-entire-world was well. awful, he just started with an awful attitude and kept it up throughout the meal...not worth it at any price....

Last year it was LTT and Tony's and CP I went LTT and it was wonderful except for the ham I did not care for it but the Beef was sooooooooo good. Had plenty of time to eat and then go to party. Had a 5:10 ADR.

Thanks for the explanation.

Thanks all for your wonderful suggestions. So, come in at 4 p.m. and have early dinner reservations (maybe 4:30 p.m.). I will check out all the restaurants mentioned. And starts at 7, right? I thought official admission was 6 p.m.

Does anyone know when the last Cinderellabration show of the day is scheduled for? I'd like to squeeze that in our MVMCP day.

Many people like to eat between 6-7, while the park is undergoing the change over from regular to party. Since you want to see Cinderellabration, I wouldn't recommend a 4:30 ADR.

You're right about the party times - 4 is unofficial. They will most likely continue doing it, but it's not guaranteed.

As long as you don't make your dinner reservation later than 6PM you should be able to get the most out of the party hours. I think there is usually a Cinderellabration sometime during the 4PM or 5PM hour but I don't have any schedules handy. I tend to forget to pick them up these days. I seem to remember that one was going on when we were heading into the park.

Actually, I don't think Cinderellabration will be shown at all. It's supposed to end when HCOE ends - Sept? There will some kind of castle show though.

All the sit down restaurants at MK are open till 6:00p with LTT and Tony's open till 9:30p.

Only the characters at LTT wear festive clothes for the party. CP does not.

Cinderella is now at all 3 meals BUT she is downstairs in the lobby for pictures.

I enjoy eating at CP or LTT party night because of the characters and location but I also enjoyed a meal at Tony's last year. Our servers were VERY nice. I also ate at the Castle for my 40th birthday before MVMCP and it was GREAT to exit the restaurant at 6:45p to an EMPTY Fantasyland. My girls had Dumbo to themselves!

I prefer eating during the hour the park is closed so I make my ADR around 5:30p

We like Crystal Palace for our meal before MVMCP. We actually try to make an ADR for before the party starts. That way, we can eat and be finished right around the start of the party.

Thanks, guys. Okay, looks like we enter at 4 p.m., see if we can watch Cinderellabration's last showing at 4 or 5 (if showing at all), character ADR for 5:30 p.m. at CRT, CP or LLT, then line up for pictures...

We did Liberty Tree Tavern last year at around 5:30. Good timing, good meal. We love the sit-down character meals as opposed to the buffet because you never have to worry about missing a character. Seem so much more relaxed. And yes, the characters were all dressed in holiday garb.... and quite interactive, I might add.
