Is this any good? Does anyone have any tips or things to share regarding this dinner?

We really liked it. we were me, DW, DD6 adn DS5; they had a great time. There is a live "country" band, they teach somel line dancing, make rounds around to talk, it's very friendly.
In between the band, characters come out, do autographs adn pics.

The food was good, general BBQ type; chicken, ribs, hot dogs, burgers, corn on the cob, a big American Flag cake for dessert. It was also all you can drink beer, wine and soda.

You help yourself to the food, and sit at really long picnic tables.

We did it 2 years ago. We all REALLY enjoyed it. The only thing is I will never go to it in June again. Even at night it was still hot. We were all pouring with sweat. It is outdoors, but there was no circulation of the air.

Seating is first come, first serve. Have someone grab a good table while the others get the food. We enjoyed it, but we went in March. I wouldn't do it in the summer.

We had a great time when we went this past July. My 12 year old son loved the band and the dancing. He didn't care to much about seeing the characters which was good because that part of it was a mob scene. (Most people with little ones left early (after about the first hour), so my son had most of the characters to himself the last 45 minutes or so. (It was him and about 10-15 others) The food was pretty good and plenty of it. It was a nice, relaxing evening. I would highly recommend it.
