Hi. I figured you campers would have experienced this dinner first hand. I hear mixed reviews about this on the restaurant thread. I was wondering what the campers think about this dinner event? We did the hoop de do a couple weeks ago (didn't stay at FW) and liked it and was thinking of trying the BBQ next time. Our girls are 5 & 7 and love to dance and sing. We have preliminary plans to camp the first week of December. Do they do this in the winter?
Thanks!

A couple of years ago they started having the BBQ into November. We did it once and liked it. My kids are older, so not into it anymore, but my wife and I liked it. If your daughters are into dancing and singing, this may be the activity for you. Food is buffet style and typical picnic fare, with hot dogs, ribs, salad, chicken, etc. All the soda/beer/wine you can drink. I think we had cake and watermelon for dessert. It is all you can eat and there is a lot of food. Since the food comes from the same kitchen as HDD, it is the same - so you know what the ribs are like, etc. Seating is picnic style on picnic tables placed in long rows. The entertainment was a country western band, line dancing lessons, a guy who did rope tricks, corny jokes ala HDD, and a lot of character interaction with Mickey, Minnie, Chip, Dale and Goofy. I really thought it was a hoot.
