Mickey wake up call

Last year on three occasions i requested a wake up call at por, and each time the phone rang but there was no wake up call. just wondered if you can still get woken up by the mouse himself and if so what was i doing wrong.

We stayed at POFQ in May/June. Requested a wake up call every morning, and sure enough, Mickey called and said, "Up and at 'em!" DH and I (no kidlets yet!) were just like kids trying to both hear!

When the phone rings, hold on for a few minutes. There is usually a silent pause, followed by some hold music, and then (finally) Mickey's voice. It's nice when you have a child because it gives the adult time to say, "OK, Mickey, hold on a minute..." and put the child on the phone in time for the recording. My DD kept talking into the phone for about five minutes after the Mickey recording was through -- it was too cute!

when we were there in Dec and January...there was a "special guest" added to the wakeup call.

most phones have a speakerphone button...instead of picking up the phone with it rings, hit that button so the whole room can hear the wake-up call.

We have two children, so I always put Mickey on speaker phone, that way we all can hear!

we do the speakerphone thing too! and when we were there in aug/sept, it was not always mickey... one day i think it was stitch!

I LOVE the speakerphone idea!!!! I always answer because DH likes to sleep in.

Isn't the Mickey wake-up one of the reasons we all keep going back???!!!!

It was so neat. I had dd answer the phone. She had a huge smile on her face and said, "Mickey called me!"

Duh!! Why haven't I ever thought of using speaker phone. I will certainly do that this time!

To also ensure that you'll get a character call... make the wake-up call for an odd time... rather than 6am, ask for either 5:58am or 6:04am since most people request right on the hour or the 1/2 hour. By doing this, we always got Mickey to call us in December!
