Mickey Waffles at Disneyland Hotel

Hi,

We'd like to eat some waffles before the Characters come down the stairs at Disneyland Hotel.

Is there a restaurant that will be open around 2pm to eat waffles before the characters come out? If so, what kind of schedule would you recommend if we'd like to eat, and get to the stairs in plenty of time?

You get the mickey waffles at Cafe Fantasia which is near the restaurants on the 2nd floor of DLH. We're planning to do that during our trip and was thinking of going to CF about 2.30 or 3 then getting downstairs about half an hour before the descent.
