Hi everyone. I am coming here since I have Googled for over an hour and cannot find anything! I was watching Home and Garden TV last night and saw a girl who just moved into a home and was decorating with a Mickey theme. She had a TON of stuff! One shot showed a copper ceiling tile that had Mickey stamped in it and a Mickey topiary in the front yard! I am on the hunt for a topiary!!! I cannot find anything! :headache: Ideally I would LOVE a "faux" one so I would not have to worry about it dying. Does anyone have any ideas?? :confused3 THANKS!!!

I saw that show! I'm not sure where the topiary is from but I am thinking about some garden statues.

I watched the show and remember seeing the topiary sold on disneyshopping.com but I don't think it's for sale at this moment but you can check the website. Have you thought about buying a large styrofoam ball and two smaller ones and then gluing them together to make a MM head? Then you can hot glue fake greenery, stick a dowel in the bottom and then put it in styrofoam placed in the bottom of a pot. Good luck! Let us know what happens.

A LONG time ago in Downtown Disney there used to be a garden/floral/gift shop close to the Rainforest Cafe side in the front corner. We haven't been down since 2002 so I have no idea if it's still there. Anyhow, that shop had all of the topiaries for sale out front, I recall the Mickey one (full body) was $50, and they also had Minnie, Goofy, Eeyore and Pooh as well. We spent a lot of time hemming and hawing about getting them and having them shipped home, but decided at that time my thumb wasn't green enough to keep up with them - but they were SOOO cool.

Anyhow, if that shop is still there it's possible they may still have them or contact the Disney Florist and ask if they still carry them. Anyone who's been with the florist for 8ish years should know what your referring to.

They sell green ivy like one's at Flower and Garden, I have a small one approx 12 in tall. The people who sell them there have a website you can order them from.

I am SOOOOOO going to make one of these....LOL

I know the one your talking about I actually have one out in my front yard (and people have commented and thought it was a real bush). I got it on Disney Shopping a few years ago. I am not sure if its something they have every now and then. It is actually really cute. Hope you find one, not sure did you try looking on ebay (shipping might be high), but it is a thought.

I have all the Disney Topiaries. Mine are the frames. I have to plant the flowers on them. I got them from Disney Shopping a few years ago.

If you're a "cafty" person, You could probably make a Mickey head on your own. Go to your local craft store by 3 styrophome balls (one for the head - two for the ears) A pot, couple sticks, gtreenery. Poof! Mickey topiaty.

Or

Maybe disboard members can post pics of the various topiarys from the park, and you can make a photo collage to satisfy your topiary need until you gtet the real one you really want.

Why did I reply to this thread?!?! Now I want one too! I'm working on a bed along the northern side of my house ... barely any sun, it'll be all hostas. I'm liking the idea of trying to make the MM head myself. I thought I might put in a few hidden Mickey's. Like I have time for this!! :) :)

BTW: I just realized we have 36 more days until WDW at the POLY. Yippee!

Hi, found this site http://www.discount-online-shopping.org/Mickey_Mouse_Topiary.html I have the first one (green but not on the stand it didn't come with it came with stakes to put in the ground, got it on Disney Shopping, actually these all use to be on Disney Shopping). Hope this helps.

That is EXACTLY what I am looking for!!! :goodvibes I click on the link and it takes me to the Disney Store site and they are not there. I am going to call and inquire - something tells me they are seasonal items! At least I know they sell them! THANKS!!! :worship:

So I have been doing a huge internet search trying to find out if I can get a Mickey Topiary kit in the States. We're in Paris on vacation and went to Disneyland Resort Paris, where they had for sale a topiary kit. We're not sure we can keep a plant alive on the trip home, though, so we were trying to find a way not to have to.
So, if you happen to end up at Disneyland Resort Paris, you can find yourself a real live topiary kit :)
Meanwhile, I just read an interesting post on how you can wrap wire around stuffed animals to create a topiary frame...
