Two years ago I made Mickey tie dye shirts with great success. The biggest pain for me was pulling the sewn shape tightly without breaking the thread. I used a type of filament thread (like super thin fishing line). Lets just say there was lots of cursing involved! I have heard about waxed thread but have been unable to find any. I picked up some thinnner waxed dental floss, but I'm worried it's still too thick to sew with and I'm worried it will damage the fabric. I had one shirt out of 5 last time that ended up with a hole from the sewing and then tightening of the thread. Any ideas on what thread to use and exactly where I could find it in a store? I've been to Michaels and JoAnn's stores. TIA!
