Hi...

Just got off the Wonder after a 4 nite cruise 4/23-4/27...will describe our experience another time.

After visiting the stores onboard each day searching for her perfect gift, my daughter chose a Mickey "snow" globe for her take home gift. We decided to put it in our carry-on bag for safe keeping!

Well...YOU CAN'T TAKE SNOW GLOBES THROUGH SECURITY AT THE AIRPORT!!! The rude guard just took it and threw it in their pile of junk and told us to keep moving.

I wish we would have known, or that someone onboard told us...its nobody's fault but ourown.

Anyway, does anyone have any idea how I can buy another replacement one? Apparently the globe is only available onboard. Thanks...alot of tears will dry up once I get another! (mostly mine!!)

I think in your sadness, you meant to write March and not April. First, I would call and then write Disney and tell them your story. Inform them it would have been nice if the store could have reminded you that they can't be taken on the airplanes. It would have saved your daughter some tears and heartache. Maybe they can ship another one to you.

I always buy a snow globe from the places we visit. Does anyone know if this is just an international thing? I have bought snow globes from Las Vegas and have never has a problem with them. (I do pack them in my luggage - not my carry on.)

New TSA requirements restrict bringing any liquid over 3oz (put in a 1 qt. size bag) on board a plane within the US. I would bring bubble wrap and pack your snowglobes in your check in bags.

When we went to WDW in January they had signs up w/ the snow globes warning people that they would be taken at the airport. There was a segment a while back with Samantha Brown at Disney. She told about someone in her group who had their globe taken from them. I'm surprised the ships don't have these signs.

MY DD had a snow globe from our Magic cruise in February in her carry on at the airport. I guess her sad face convinced the TSA to allow her to go on the plane with it.
