Mickey slide - age limit?

We are sailing on the Fantasy soon. My son is tall enough to go on the yellow Mickey slide, but he is younger than the “recommended age” minimum. Conversely, I am short enough to ride but I’m very much older than the recommended age maximum. Do they allow anyone in the height range to ride, or do they go by age and height?

That's a great question! I am curious too as I prefer open slides

I noticed the AduaDuck doesn't have a recommended age range, which is funny to me because he'll definitely hit 42 inches before he's 4. So if they're strict about the age range, he could theoretically ride the AquaDuck but not the Mickey Slide next year.

In my experience, they've gone by height. My kids have always done the yellow slide since they were tall enough in pre-k and so on (i have tall, adventurous kids!), and I've no clue about the recommended age. They've never been questioned about their age.

Thanks, I know it says "intended for" ages 4-14. My question was do they actually restrict it according to age, or just height.

I don't think they're going to card your son to check his age at the slide. That would be kind of crazy! They might not let you on, though. I've heard mixed reports about adults on the slide. It probably depends on who's running it that day.

My guess would be that as long as your son meets the height requirement AND can manage himself independently through the line and sliding down and getting out of the way unassisted -- they won't question. If he isn't capable of doing that independently, that may be where the age comes into play. I've never seen an adult on the Mickey slide, though I have read some reports of adults that went to help their child but were essentially informed "just this once."
