Forgive me if this is completely obvious (just not for me). Maybe all the planning has gotten to me. I read somewhere that you can get daily? wake up calls from Mickey, the problem is I can not seem to figure out how to get this done. Has anyone done this, and if so how? I've got a little over 30 days to go and I don't know how much more I can take:scared:
Thanks in advance
Rosy

You just set this up once you check in (assuming you are staying at a disney-owned resort). This is what we have always done - Dh always does it, but I believe there is a button you press on the phone labelled something like "wake up call." Once you dial this, you just program the time you want it the next morning. I believe this is what DH has done. :)

thanks sassycat!! this is exactly what i meant by planning so much that i feel a little dumber now:rotfl: it was right in front me. I just thought it was more complicated than that.

So is it always Mickey who does the wake up calls? Can you choose someone else, or do they choose for you? This is the first I've heard about this, and I know the kids would love it.

We used this on our last 2 trips. I can't remember if it was different characters (made ds answer the phone most of the time), but I definitely remember getting a call from STITCH one morning. I didn't get a choice on which would call..you just choose the time.

It is always Mickey and Stitch. I really wish they would change it. I don't enjoy stitch screaming in my ear that early. :rotfl:

Aww cool.

I have a question about character calls. I heard that for your kids birthday you can have Goofy call and wish them a happy birthday is that true

We did this while we were there. From the phone in the room. Just punched the button and pushed in the time. They ask you to confirm the time and away you go. I really really was hoping for Mickey one day, but all we got was Stich . Stitch is very cute, but I was really wishing for Mickey for the kids. Believe it or not the first time we had an encounter with Mickey of any kind was when we went to CM on our last night - such a bummer.

Google "Disney's Enchanted Calls" and you'll get the website for that. You pay for the phone call, though.

I could be wrong, but I think the Enchanted calls are something you pay for because they can be arranged for a phone call no matter where you are where as the wake up call is a freebie while at the Disney Resort. (similiar to a wake up call you can arrange at any hotel, just with Disney Characters) Correct me if I am wrong.

Also you can earn Disney character calls thru the Disney Movies Rewards program.

I think I am going to sneak into my 21 yr olds room and arrange for a wake up call for her and her best friend. Won't they be surprised.

Oh i have the points to do that. I just still havent recieved my free code that I requested over a month ago (more like 2.5) so I'm leary on purchasing it w/ points because If I dont get the codes from renewing the points I would be out points.

This can actually happen to you randomly at the parks.

I was wearing my bday button on July 4 at Epcot. We were at the camera center trying to ask a question about our photopass. The CM saw my name on my button and was like, "Caroline, where are you from?" I said Alabama. She was then like "Well, I had a friend earlier who was looking for a Caroline from Alabama" and I started to say "well, that's odd...) and then she handed me the phone. It was the call from Goofy. I had heard about these happening at the parks, and I was excited! :rotfl:

I'm guessing maybe at a store at the parks of maybe the hotel you could ask a cm about this if you wanted your child to get one (based on your ticker I see you are going for your son's b'day). I hope you have a magical trip! :wizard:
