Mickey Mouse here we come. The Porters PTR-TR *DAY 5 in progress pg 27*

I just read your entire pre trip report, i'm glad i'm just in time to read the TR. And am hoping you have good news from your son's doctor.

Hey Tosha!!! Glad your trip went well...hope your return flight was smooth & uneventful!

We just got back this morning...we decided to cut our trip 1/2 days short...we were going to come back on Tues/Wed after staying in Virginia but we were too tired!

Can't wait to hear about it all!

Glad you guys had a good time. I cant wait to hear about your trip and see the 800 pictures.

Woooooohooooooooooooooo! Tosha's family is home!!! Can't wait to hear all about it and see all about it! :hug Sorry you didn't do so well on the planes.

So curiosity got the best of me and I called during the trip. BAD me, but it didn't affect our trip. It WOULD have if I didn't call because then my mind would have been a ticking time bomb DYING for the results.

I am not happy about his diagnosis but it could have been worse ....this is what I keep telling myself.

He has been diagnosed with PFO....Patent Foramen Ovale. This is a hole in the middle of the right and left chambers of his heart. Most babies are born with it and it and here's more in depth, NICE view of it. Everything else I read just went on and on about how it is a huge cause of strokes....who needs to hear THAT?!?! Certainly not me!

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/patent-foramen-ovale/DS00728

In most cases it's left alone to watch and see what happens, but in Kendyl's case because he does have frequent headaches, so he is symptomatic, he has to be watched by a pediatric cardiologist. The doctor said they just may have to close it eventually. We will monitor it and see how it closes, if it closes on it's own.

I'm happy that it's not looking like this will alter his ability to play sports ( which he LOVES) but I'm not happy that the possibility of surgery may arise, but overall I feel a calm about it.

Now I'm going to finish uploading day 1 pics and I'll get started....just a few more to go. Photobucket is not my friend tonight so I am having to do them 1 by 1!

( Disclaimer, dh was behind the camera 99% of the time, so all the pics like the name of the ride and the wait times, things like that are missing but I'll tell you the rides and such...and so now we begin)

My husbands best friend Mark came to pick us up and drop us off to the airport. Bless his heart as he was soooo sleepy! He'll do anything for us.....a true friend indeed!

So we are at the airport. We were all excited...and I can prove it
DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008003.jpg

DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008001.jpg

"Look, a plane, mommy!" ( There really were no planes in sight at this point....we are just checking in luggage:rotfl: )
DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008006.jpg

DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008010.jpg

Going to the terminal where we are just about to board our plane!
DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008011.jpg

After getting on the plane, the kids were nervous and shaking...what a way to make a mom feel terrible :( So I was busy calming them down during this time and not alot of pics, but here are a couple we did get

Me holding Dominiques hand across the seat...poor boo girl, she was a WRECK!
DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008019.jpg

Up up and AWAYYYYYY
DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008022.jpg

I was really, REALLY nauseas the entire time, espcially during take off and landing, but I had to be strong for the babies :)

SO after the nauseating flight we arrived in Orlando! :cool1: :cool1:

What a mad house it was...so many people....but the excitement filled the air and was felt all around...to us anyway :lmao:

So we look in our carry on to discover....oh NO....I left the Magical Express Packet AT HOME!!!!!!!! How could THAT happen?:confused3 So we hurry down to the Magical Express counter where they printed us all new ones:worship:

We walk outside where we were overjoyed to see our bus!!!!!!!!!!!!!

While inside the bus, we were all unloading fans and putting batteries in. This is it....we are getting ready to go to the World! This little guy was so happy that this is all he could do
DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008030.jpg

And that moment made me so proud of all the hard work, all the research and sleepless nights.....was all worth it in that instant!

One thing was made clear while on the bus.....you get what you pay for  3 of the 7 fans I got at Dollar tree didn't work!

SO ME took us to the resort. We were all sleeping on the bus at this point and didn't capture the moment on camera, but will never ever forget the joy we felt when we pulled up. It was 11 am so We checked in and our room was not ready yet, so what's left to do? OFF TO THE PARKS!!!!

On the Dis bus we go... MAGIC KINGDOM or BUST!!

DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008032.jpg

Ky was still sleepy from being awake so early and his nap on ME was interrupted.....can't you tell:rotfl2:

We are now here. The kids were fascinated by the ducks and cranes
DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008035.jpg

DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008044.jpg

By now, it was obvious that we were going to need to rent a stroller. Khyri was sleepy, Songe Bob cranky pants. Truth be told, I was sleepy too, but running off of adrenaline:banana:   There was NO sleep in sight for the others though....they were way too pumped! So we rented the stroller, grabbed a map and were off!

I couldn't believe we were here. We were in Magic Kingdom. I was wowed by just this sight
DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008045-1.jpg

But when I walked along further and turned that corner to see the castle, BOY did I figh the tears! I got few pics from the photopass guy and hackled through the crowd to get a closer view and was just wowed!

DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008047.jpg

Just beautiful!!!!

We stopped by the castle to decide where we were going, and the kids chose Astro Orbiter for our first stop, so that's where we went
DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008054.jpg

The kids and I ( and our handy dandy stroller) are leaving slow walking daddy in the dust
DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008055.jpg

The wait time for Astro Orbiter was 50 minutes. We waited and the wait grew hotter, and HOTer, and HOTTER, so we gave our fans a whirl...to our dismay 2 MORE fans went out:rolleyes: So we had to go purchase that $17 mister fan, which was a life saver:woohoo:

Our turn FINALLY rolls around to go up the elevator to the ride, and I realized I HAD to sit this one out. I was nauseas like nobody's business and there was no way I would sit on a ride that went round and round....not with my motion sickness already in full effect. So I just enjoyed watching the others enjoy it

DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008056.jpg

DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008057.jpg

DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008058-1.jpg

DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008059.jpg

And they LOVED it!!!!! WOOHOOO!!!:woohoo: :yay: :cool1: Our( well THEIR) first ride at Disney World!!!!!!!!!

We decided the next ride would be in Tomorrowland as well, and it depended on who had the least wait time.....and the was Buzz light years space ranger spin! The wait time for that one was 45 minutes which ended up being an hour and though most of that time was spent in the air conditioning, the heat sure got to us people who had been awake since 2am and pretty tired, but that didn't stop us! We were determined to get on that ride, and that's what we did!

DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008070.jpg

GEt em guys! Dj and Kendyl
DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008074.jpg

DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008083.jpg

DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008078.jpg

And the picture of dh, Khyri and me on the ride ( why is dh's mouth wide open?!??! Hun, this isn't a scary ride ) I had a BALL! This was sooooooo fun!:yay: :yay:
DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008085.jpg

DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008088.jpg

My first ride was a blast! Kendyl wanted to go on this again!!!

By now it was time for our ressies at....
DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008101.jpg

I was so excited to see the kids reaction, because I didn't tell them characters would be here! We checked in and went inside. When they saw the characters, THEY WERE FLOORED!!!!!!!!!:yay: :yay:

We got our food just in time, as the characters were coming our way when we came back to the table:woohoo:

Piglet and the crew
DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008105.jpg

Tigger too!!
DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008107.jpg

HI POOH!!!!
DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008117.jpg

ANd Eeyore!
DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008118.jpg

Where is Khyri you ask? Well he was right here...as TERRIFIED as can be:laughing: It was actually pretty hillarious to me...he wanted NOTHING to do with them..NOTHING!
DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008108.jpg

So we ate and as we were done eating, the kids joined in on the little parade they had there
DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008115.jpg

After lunch, we were all a little overwhelmed and actually wanted to go rest up a bit, so we headed back to the resort.

So at the resort the kids were realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllly excited to see the larger than life Icons! They LOVED it!

DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008143.jpg

We decided to get in character with some of them

DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008141.jpg

DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008150.jpg

And here we are at our home away from home for 6 nights 7 days.....

DisneyWorldDay18-11-2008145.jpg

HERBIE!!!!!!!!!!!! We stayed at The Love Bug....rooms 6924/6925 the entire time. I have nothing but good to say about this building. VERY quiet....seems like we were the only ones there our entire stay!:cloud9:  I fell TOTALLY in love!!!!

We went in and took a two hour nap, and got up to go to the pool.

That's actually where my pictures for today ends, as I'm not big on posting kids in bathing suits online, but trust me, we all had a blast!!!

We then ate a CS meal in the foodcourt. I had a make it yourself salmon salad that made you want to kick someone ...that's how good it was. I was still nauseas as all get out though and we headed in after dinner and went to bed.

Our first day in the Park was short and sweet, but we don't regret one second of it. Just made our anticipation of day 2 much more exciting:cheer2: :dance3:

Stay tuned for day 2

HEY!!! So cool you've already started your report!

I've also left my ME package home! I was soooo nervous they were going to say, "Oh well, you have no proof, guess you'll need to rent a car"! HA!

I LOVE the outfits you all have on! The people at the airport were probably going "Hmmm, I wonder where they're going"! :rotfl:

I sent you a PM about photobucket. Hope it helps. Let me know if you have any questions b4 you go to sleep!

-G

Thank you girll! Thank you for all your help tonight and yes, you are still my baby's father and I am one MILLION percent sure! ( Bringing a bit of our private chat out to make others go hmmmm :lmao: )

And :rotfl2: We left no guesses ..it was a given where we were going, huh? :cool1: We had tons of attention too, especially here at home! Everyone was excited for us and told us to tell Mickey they said hello.

Forgot to mention that the flight home was a bit better as far as the nausea goes, but the turbulance made me call out Jesus' name SEVERAL times! MAN was that scary, but now I laugh about it.

I woke up to some dizziness this morning and right now as we "speak" I am a little dizzy and nauseas....some sort of after affect I guess.

The first day sounds great. I know the kids are planning the next trip.

You're off to a great start! Wasn't Crystal Palace a fun experience? We had our first visit there this summer, and we liked it so much we've booked it again for our November trip, since some of our group didn't get to go last time.

Your kids are precious. I love the expressions on their faces as you made it through the different steps to get to your destination.

I'm glad to hear you liked All Star Movies. We stayed there in March (Mighty Ducks end) and liked it just fine, although Pop is our 'home' resort.

I'm looking forward to going on this trip with you and hearing all about the awesome fun you guys had. I hope you get back to feeling normal soon!

Have you chosen the dates for your next trip yet? We are always talking about our "next time" on our way home!

Your son will be in our prayers as you face all of his health issues. We will hope to hear about many good things coming his way as he grows up.

Thank you!

Yes Crystal Palace was fun, but I must confess the food wasn't that great to me, but my kids liked it all...food and the characters, so I suppose next time we go, I have to make that a priority:thumbsup2

No we haven't started talking next trip yet. We are still recovering from all the walking and heat of THIS trip:lmao: So I bet when that all subsides, the planning will begin...or at least the talk of.

Thank you for praying for my Kendyl. I realy appreciate it!

Great start to your trip report can't wait to hear more....

Yea!!:cool1: You started your TR. I love the pictures of your kids. You can tell by their faces that they are just in awe of everything around them. I can't wait to read the next day when everyone isn't so tired. :)

I just found your TR, and let me tell you, it's great!

Your family's excitement shows. And your kids are adorable! Can't wait to read more.
