Mickey, Minions & more. 2 week holiday. Updated 9/14 - FINAL THOUGHTS

A new day has started and we are ready to go. Here is the room number we had.

The time we were leaving.

I posted in the last update that we were returning the car today. We were not. That will be the next day. I got my days confused. This day we were heading to my favorite place for pics. Let’s go shall we.

Our destination.

Here is the tree on the way in.

Getting closer to the entrance. We had no issues with the bands.

Then we were through the gates and seeing these lovely birds.

Sorry my pics are blurry. I was walking as I took them.

You quack me up.

Then we came upon the tree.

I love the kangaroos at AKL. (Better pics later in the report)

I too have had to hang my head down in shame at times.

Then we were entering our place to be.

I love these. If I had a backyard I would want these. LOL.

Good morning Everest. Will you be tackled today?

Thank you. Glad to be here.

I guess that is the FOTLK theater.

Um, okay.

I think I will stop here. Do we eat? Ride the safari? Or something else?

Up next,

The answer.

Yay! You're at AK. I'm voting that you stopped for something to eat. Looking forward to finding out what you actually did do.

Ha ha! YOU quack me up! Clever.

I have the distinct feeling you were annoyed with the hand raiser on ToT! :lmao: On the positive side, you got a great shot outside the open door looking at the water tower. On the negative, yeah, the person had arms! Just for the record, I do NOT raise my arms. I'm too busy holding on to my kid or whomever is next to me. LOL!

Thanks for sharing your Imagineer lunch at HBD. I love the mementos and that signed plate. What a great experience.

How cool to see Illuminations from your balcony. :thumbsup2

Wait, does your phone say "Happy Holidays 2008????" :lmao:

You know, I don't think I've ever noticed the kangaroos before. I think I may need to explore more. I tend to get distracted by a certain Mountain. :rolleyes1

How cool you can see Illuminations from your balcony, that must have been a lovely surprise!

Loving your AK photos so far :)

Coming up soon. :thumbsup2

Thank you. :lmao:
:thumbsup2 :rotfl2: I was holding onto the hand rail under the seat with one hand and taking pics with the other.
it was very nice seeing them and wait till later in the week for what I discover.

:lmao: It does. It was a pic of us in 2008 on our last holiday trip.
I noticed them for the first time last trip. They will be making another appearance later in the tr.

it was great seeing it from there.
Thank you

If anyone said or thought Safari you won. We had a fp+ so we were told to go straight in. He is the line as we walked.

Here comes our vehicle.

Happy adventurers.

And we are off.

The side you usually get to see. LOL

Rough life.

Lounging around.

I find this area so pretty.

Lounging also.

So many birds.

I cannot wait for our next trip (whenever that will be) as I plan on definitely doing this now that I lost weight and can do it.

Crocs.

Then we were coming to the best part of the ride.

The savannah.

Someone was hungry and eating.

I have to stop here.

Up next,

The tour continues…

I love these. If I had a backyard I would want these. LOL.

Hope you get a yard to put these in someday. That will be fun. ::yes:: If I ever 'Disney-fy' my backyard, I think I'll do a Polynesian theme, and my light fixtures will be tiki torches. :thumbsup2

The bus stop picture is one of those 'nothing special' pictures that does such a good job of making me easily be able to picture myself right there.

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: you are at the AK. I LOVE that park and wish it got more love than it did. I love walking through the oasis and seeing the animals (although like most we are always in a rush to get to our first destination).

Great safari pictures. I'm with you...I love when you get to the savannah part. Love the pic of the giraffe eating. I want to do that tour at the AK, but Mark is a little hesitant with that bridge.

Can't wait to see more of the safari tour.

Vinny looks so happy! :good vibes

You will love the Wild African Trek. It's an awesome tour. My highlight was watching the hippos eat. OMG - they have the biggest mouths EVER. It's pretty incredible. You've just got to see it for yourself.

Nice pics at Safari. :goodvibes

That's the best ride there :thumbsup2

Dang! I really thought you might have stopped for food. But the safari ride is always a good detour.

Nice pics of the Safari.

I've just started reading along and have read all your updates this morning - after suffering badly from Disney Blues!

What a wonderful trip you had - we were there about a week before you and had the most wonderful time. I love how you visited both US and IOA as well as Disney! Can't wait to hear all about the rest of the trip - and you are looking amazing, by the way!!

Had to get caught up again (as usual). How cool that you could see the fireworks from your balcony. It's always nice to have that extra "perk".

Vinny looks like he's ready and raring to spend the day at the Animal Kingdom. Love that smile of his! I really really want to do the Wild Africa Trek but animals aren't John's favorite and I wouldn't want to do it without him.

Great updates.

I love walking around the Animal Kingdom. Your pics are making me want to book a trip!!!

and I had no idea you could see illuminations from Saratoga. That's great.

Funny. I took that same picture of the ladybug lights and thought the same thing you did! I plan to check them out at night.

I don;t think I will ever get it for that but when we move (if ever) I will get the Tinkerbell bird fountain and a few planters.
Same here. it makes me sad though because I want to be there. :lmao:

let it not get love. Less people makes me happy. :rotfl2:
I always have to see the animals but it is on the go that I am shooting pics.
Thanks. I cannot wait to do the bridge. Before the surgery I was too heavy but now I am under and I told Vinny next time we are doing it.
More coming tomorrow.

Vinny looks so happy! :good vibes

I do not remember eating breakfast this day. I think we had protein bars in the room being I have no receipt for anything.
Thanks.

:welcome: Thanks for reading along. I suffer from those all to often. :(
it was a great trip but we only did about half of what I had planned. it was great going to US. Love it there.
Thank you.

I know the feeling all too well.
