Mickey, Minions & more. 2 week holiday. Updated 9/14 - FINAL THOUGHTS

Oh Scott - you finally got Vinny on ToT and someone blocked his face. That absolutely stinks. So not cool! I'm like Vinny - one ride a visit is really all I need.

I like your holographic pictures. I finally had my camera out on the ride last month and I'm curious to see if my pics turned out. Obviously I haven't even uploaded them yet.

Lunch with an Imagineer sounds really cool. The food looks relish (and plenty of it). I'm glad you thought it was a good experience. Sounds like it really was.

I just wonder if his face was like on Splash Mountain when he went on.
Oh my! I upload as soon as I walk in the door. :rotfl2:
it was a great time.

You had lunch with an Imagineer, and this is what we get??? Spill the beans, buddy! What questions were asked, and what were the answers? Inquiring minds (that will never have the chance to do this) want to know! :flower3:

Cool.

What a nice experience - and very sweet of Bill and Tracy to invite others to share it. :)

The Imagineer was in show design and a Production manager. She had just gotten back from doing work at Aulani. She also had worked on the Pirates walk through at DHS and was not happy when we told her how dark it was at Be Our Guest.

We really enjoy the lunch and this was our third time doing it. We will do it again.

I went to write out a new post and Flickr has changed their site and I cannot get the code to copy the pic unless I make all my pics public. It does not seem right to me. I have an email to them now and once I figure out how I can do it I will be posting an update.

I have to be honest, I've never really thought about the hands up aspect in photos. I don't tend to put them up, more next to my face (which looks pretty dumb but oh well) but I suppose that could block someone else. On a rollercoaster the hands up thing has been around so long, far longer than ride pics that to me it's just kind of a thing lots of folks do as part of their ride experience and it seems unrealistic to expect that to change.

I guess for me I don't take it as someone deliberately trying to block my ride experience, just something they are doing for their own and I don't have a problem with it. But then again the kids or even myself are often blocked in a pic simply as someone is taller. ToT is one that is difficult at best I think even when hands aren't up.

How fun that you got to dine with an Imagineer and eat with Tracy and Bill! Bummer that she didn't know more about avatar land.

All caught up!
I have been reading along, but a bit too busy to comment, sorry.

Sorry about the hands in Vinny's photo. I have never even thought about the fact that people raise their hands on rides (and I am guilty of that too on BTBR).

I can't believe your weight loss success! :worship: WOW is all I can say. :goodvibes

Wow!! Vinny rode ToT!!! ::yes:: One of my favorites! One way to avoid the hand covering anyone's face to to ask for the first row!! We do that all the time!

Glad you enjoyed your lunch with the Imagineer! Sounds like an interesting event. Would you do it again?

I do know that it has been around for ions(lol) I just find it annoying. I just think it should change for the people who dish out $150-200 for pics and then do not get them. I know it won't. My voice and opinion mean nothing in the great scheme of things.

:rotfl2: being taller is something that cannot be helped.

it was fun and it was great seeing them again.
Even if she did I am sure nothing would have been said.

Totally understand that.
I am guilty of it too. :rotfl2:
Thank you.

I was very shocked.
I thought of that after this time and will be doing that next time. :thumbsup2
Yes I would definitely do it again.

That menu looks delish !I liked all your choices !!!Good to see Bill too!!
it was so good. Just wish I could have eaten more of the food. Alwats good to see Bill.

Oh yeah. Now I remember her mentioning Aulani.

I am transferring pics to Photobucket because I refuse to make my pics public like they want me to do on Flickr. I should have an update tomorrow.

Day 6: Part 3

Once lunch was over I went outside and found Vinny & Renee and we decided to head back to the resort and swim. Renee was going to rest in her room.

A pic from the tram. It looks like it was raining but it wasn’t.

We got back and Vinny and I swam for a bit. That night we all decided to just take it easy and stay around the resort. Here is the view from our balcony.

We did decide to have dinner at Artist’s Palette. Here is what we had.

Scott:
I ordered from the kids menu and had.
Macaroni & Cheese - with Grapes and Carrot Sticks $5.99

I also had a Fuze iced Tea.

Vinny:
Roasted Vegetable Panini - Goat Cheese and Herbs with House-made Chips or Vegetable

He had an apple juice.

Both meals were good. Soon enough we were back in the room and it was to bed early for Vinny. I decided to make one last run to Walmart being we had to return the car the next day.

Later I discovered if I go out on the balcony I can see “Illuminations” from it. Here is the best of the horrible pics I took.

Then it was time for bed. That is the end of Day 6.

Up next,

The one with animals….

Nice photo from your balcony.

I'm curious...is that mac and cheese any good? I know the mac and cheese at the Electric Umbrella is utterly disgusting. I don't see carrot sticks...I see chips on your plate. :confused3

That's not a bad shot of Illuminations at all.

it was good. I have had others that were bad but this was decent. I got grapes, not carrots.

Thanks. You are to kind being it horrible. :rotfl2: I get more later in the week.

The view from your balcony is great.

That's isn't a bad shot of Illuminations; I think it's pretty good. :thumbsup2

OK, lots to comment on. First off your weight loss is tremendous! Great job!

That's really too bad that you finally got Vinny on ToT and the picture got ruined. I never would have thought about that, but I'm not really a hand raiser on ride. I'm just too lazy! :rotfl:

I love those imaginer kinds of things. When I go to the D23 events I literally bring a spiral notebook like I did in college and take notes so that I can give good information in my TRs. Even when you are paying attention, you still forget everything they talk about once you leave the room. Nice souveniers that they gave you too!

I'm looking forward to staying at SSR again sometime. I never thought about snakes! :scared1:

Sounds like a nice evening.

Good try on fireworks shot :thumbsup2

LOVE that you could see Illuminations from your balcony! AWESOME! And not a bad pic at all :thumbsup2

Thanks.

Oh wow, nice perk being able to see Illuminations from the balcony!! :cool2:
it was. Later you will see another perk.
