Mickey, Minions & more. 2 week holiday. Updated 9/14 - FINAL THOUGHTS

I liked your pictures as you exited Epcot (and I totally missed that cute peppermint decoration).

The rooms are really cute. I still can't stay at a value (spoiled by the Villas now), but those rooms are super cute. The themeing is terrific.

Hmmm....do you go out again? I'm going to say yes for you and no for Vinny.

glad you liked the rooms, and im with you the walk is not bad at all...im guessing you found the short cut to the busses going between the lion king section and the parking lot and coming out at the first bus stop...a little shorter than walking through the main hall

we hated the original heavy bed spread, if it started to fall off one side of the bed it was gone...we ended up having them take them away half way through the trip. they just got in the way.
That is where I walked. It helped a lot.
Glad we didn't have that one. These were very nice.

Thanks.
We will stay in them when we run out of points and still want to go. Still prefer POP though. I did prefer this resort to Kidani. God do I hate that resort. :lmao: I cannot even explain how much I do and yet Jambo House is my favorite DVC. Go figure. Oops! Just read read you are staying there. Hope you have a better experience.
Coming up now.

I decided to go out and they stayed behind but first went and had dinner at Landscapes of Flavor. I had chicken Caesar wrap. I have no pic and I paid out of pocket for it. $10.16. I think I did use the credit but for some reason the receipt says otherwise.

I arrived at Magic Kingdom around 9. Here is Main Street.

It was crazy because of the fireworks and they had the back entrance open when I first arrived. I text Lorrie to see if they were going there and she said they were on their way. I hung out in front of Tony’s and as I was standing there a man proposed to his girlfriend over by the front of confectionary. She said yes. It was nice seeing that happen. Soon Lorrie and Jim arrived and we moved into the park.

I guess we went to Tomorrowland.

Then we went on Peoplemover.

See here they were with me on the ride.

My photo attempts.

I have no idea what this photo is of.

And that was all I took that came out good. I do love that ride and you will see it a lot more in the report.

Next we went into Laugh Factory. I love this show. It makes me laugh.

Then Mike came to talk to us.

Oh no. Roz! Hope he isn’t in trouble.

The screen.

The laugh meter.

During the show.

Soon the show was over. I do enjoy it. The kids laughing in there make it the best.

I think I am going to stop here.

Up next,

More in Tomorrowland

What great night time shots at MK.

Glad that you headed out to spend time at MK with Lorrie and Jim.

I love the pic you got of Star Traders? (Is that the name of the shop) It's really pretty at night. Heck - I always enjoy you night pictures and the Laugh Factory is always good for a chuckle!

So cool to see a couple get engaged in MK. No better place in my opinion.

Oh those non party night crowds. :scared1:

Great scott!....Scott! :goodvibes I am SO far behind…sorry!

The mini golf seemed like so much fun, love all the quirky sayings, bet the Sci Fi side is out of this world too.
Dinner at Margaritaville’s looked yummy. CityWalk seemed to really come alive at night. Your Universal review certainly has me trying to figure out when we can go back there.

AoA is so fun and colorful, Disney did do a great job on the details and theming. We walked around and checked it out in Aug ’12 (LM wasn’t opened yet). The CM was explaining about the lobby, how it depicted character sketches in the beginning to the final look. Ursula for example started out more voluptuous and ended up  ..... well we know. "Nice” and sinister. :upsidedow:

Cars Suite would be my choice, but the price tag is very $$. Some day when discounts are offered we’ll try LM. Still love the POP.

Just wanted to say you take wonderful pictures, really capturing the park (or resort) you are in.:thumbsup2 I tried Mission Space for the first time (Green ) and while I was nervous at first, I was fine. Don’t know if I could ever handle the orange though. Oh how neat that you got to hear NPH!! (Still think of him as Doogie too:goodvibes). We had Whoopi (Rosie and I were able to take in the show from the back). It was definitely always something that I've always wanted to do. Whoopi was awesome. Since we were far back your pix were perfect to add to the memories.

Soarin’ is my fav Epcot ride. Love the smells, the rush when going down the river ... hang gliding …the orange grove.. it’s a fabulous experience. I just tell myself to forget that I’m probably about 4 stories in the air!

Never was very interested in eating at Marrakesh, but somehow your pix make it very enticing. The chicken kabobs looked so good! We walked back in the shop areas - it was definitely some Mischief and Mayhem with Rosie in Morroco! :rotfl2: Let's just say she tried a little belly dancing eying to add to her pole dancing repertoire. :rotfl:

The Laugh floor is always fun, we love it and my DD Sam always sends a joke or two, hoping to get picked. It was nice to see that they worked Monsters University into the show too. Pretty cool to be on the side lines for a proposal. :)

Oh and you LOOK fantastic! Keep up knocking off the pounds!!:cool1:

I got so far behind again! All caught up though! :thumbsup2

Yay for finally moving over to Disney! Art of Animation is adorable isn't it? We only stayed there one night, so I'd like to do a longer trip there someday to really explore the resort, it's beautiful!

My DH really wants to try the Morocco restaurant, but I'm nervous, I don't think I'd like anything there! However, your lunch looked really good, so maybe I could find something? You don't hear too much about that place!

Yay Candlelight Processional and NPH! :thumbsup2 Originally when I had a longer trip booked for December, we were going to see him, but I had to cut that trip shorter so we missed him. Oh well, some other time!

I love Soarin', one of my favorite rides in all of Disney!

Haha, I didin't think you'd be ending your night at AoA, good choice going to MK! :cool1:

Good Morning Scott , home relaxing before I go to work . Have to do End of the month paperwork:scared1::scared1:

Great update Scott !!I love Laugh Floor too !!! How cute to hear a proposal !!!
Thank you. It is fun. it was nice seeing the proposal and she was on her phone right after it happened. :lmao:

I think that is the name. Thanks.
It does make me laugh.

Aren't those the astronauts inside space mountain?
I think they are.

So cool to see a couple get engaged in MK. No better place in my opinion.

Oh those non party night crowds. :scared1:
It was very nice to see it.
:lmao: I feel every night is a party. I think they have too many of them but it makes them more money.

Great scott!....Scott! :goodvibes I am SO far behind…sorry!
I am so behind on most of the ones I am reading too.

The Sci fi one looked fun but not one person was over there.
It was very good. it is a fun area.
I am waiting for all of Diagon Alley to open and then I will go back.

me too. I love POP. I just hope it doesn't get neglected by AofA.

Green side is not bad but I do not think I could do the orange side.
Whoopi would have been fun to see too. I could have gone but the crowds scared me. :lmao:

:rotfl2: that is a good thing to tell yourself. I try not to think about it.

The kebobs were good. I was happy with my selection. :rotfl: that should have been fun to watch.

Fun times.

:thumbsup2 I know the feeling.

I think all the places are worth trying once then you know not to go back. :lmao: Vinny hated KONA after 2 times going and on the 3rd time he actually enjoyed it.

Yay Candlelight Processional and NPH! :thumbsup2 Originally when I had a longer trip booked for December, we were going to see him, but I had to cut that trip shorter so we missed him. Oh well, some other time!
he is always there so I am sure you will catch him some time. :thumbsup2

I love it too.

it was too early for me.

Good Morning Scott , home relaxing before I go to work . Have to do End of the month paperwork:scared1::scared1:
Good afternoon now. :lmao: Have a good day relaxing and have a good time at work (is that possible?).

I was right about you going and Vinny staying! I love Tomorrowland at night, it feels more "futuristic" at night for some reason.

I just read that the Peoplemover will be closed when we are there in March and I am so bummed...it's one of my favorites.

I really like Landscape of Flavors, I think it's the best resort food court and has so many great options...even though we haven't stayed at AoA, we usually make a lunch stop there once a trip!

You were. it does feel that way. Never thought about it but now I see it.
That wold bum me out and Vinny for sure. Maybe it will open up when you are there.
It is a great place to eat.

After our fun time with those “Monsters” we went to.

When we first got over there I believe we got fp’s as they were still giving them out.

Queue photos.

I rode by myself. Here are some ride photos.

My score was 148,000. Not bad for taking pictures throughout the ride.

Here is my fp+ pic.

After this we split up. I wanted an ice cream cone so I went to Auntie Gravity’s and had a soft serve vanilla cone. It was heavenly. The price was $snack credit. LOL.

After this I decided it was time to head back to the resort. It was close to 11 and it had been a long busy day. I started walking up towards the front exit. As I was walking up I ran into Lorrie and Jim again by Tomorrowland Terrace. See here is my castle pic form there.

I never tire of it.

Now I did bid them a goodnight again and I started to head out.

Made it to where Tony’s was again and saw them.

The train station with pretty decorations.

I then decided to go up there and see the view.

Zoomed a little.

Then I was on my way. I did take a few more but they all look alike. Then I was on my way to the bus stop. I wrote that a bus came within minutes so not a bad wait. I was soon back at AofA.

The tree with no one in it.

The lobby not so crowded.

Here is my walking total for the day.

I didn’t think it was a bad first day at Disney. I saw Tracy and Bill. Hung out with Lorrie and Jim. Saw Neil Patrick Harris. Good day indeed.

Up next,

Will I get on or won’t I get on this time….

P.s. When we went to Soarin’ I did get a new plant from the garden shop there. This is our 4th plant and these things grow like crazy. Unfortunately no pic.

Awesome Castle shots !!I love the Castle at night !!! Great score for Buzz !!! Mmm icecream !!!!Sounded like a wonderful day !!

Awesome TR!! I just spent the morning getting caught up.:good vibes

We are DW newbs and are frantically trying to prepare for my big 4-OH birthday disapoalooza! lol Soooooo have been spending a fair bit of time pouring over TR's. I am subbing this one and can't wait for more!

Thanks a bunch for sharing! :cheer2:

Buzz Lightyear is often a nighttime ride for us, too. It seems like we can usually walk on and then walk on one more time right away. Twice is good enough for me, but I know we have done it three times in a row a couple of times. Brooklynn likes it now that she understands the shooting part somewhat.

The pictures of Main Street and the train station are pretty.

There's that AoA tree that I never saw! :upsidedow

I briefly checked into the Fitbit and other things like it. I ended up not getting one, but if I get a decent amount back on my income tax, I think I might get one then. I think it might be motivating. I lost a little chunk of weight when I was sick, and I can tell a difference in my sleep apnea, so I need to keep that going.
