Mickey, Minions & more. 2 week holiday. Updated 9/14 - FINAL THOUGHTS

Loving the Epcot pics. Especially spaceship earth because the I can actually look closely at the scenes, they go by so fast when you are on the ride.

The salad at Morocco looked so delish! I hope it was as good as it looked. Never did the CLP so cant wait to see the pictures. Btw, you are looking fab. :cool1:

Thank you. They do go by quickly.

That salad was very good. I would order it again a heartbeat.

Thank you.

We were entering the theater and I was texting with Tracy and she told me where they were and then I saw them. We walked down that way, turned right to go by them and bam… a CM told me to turn left and go down towards the stage. I was not happy. We sat down and I texted Tracy that he wouldn’t let us through and that I would see her after the show. It would have been fun to have sat with them.

We went down and sat in the 2nd or 3rd row and waited for it to begin and it shortly did. One of the trees.

The stage.

Then they came out to take their seats.

The choir coming in.

Everyone waiting. You see the glass partition there well that comes into play in a bit.

Play it boys.

And they did. LOL.

Here are some short videos of their performances.

Then came out more singers.

Some more carolers.

Someone was waiting to our side for his cue.

Here is almost the entire stage.

Let me apologize for my NPH pics. I forgot my zoom and that glass partition was in the way.

Here is a short video of NPH narrating for us.

Then the backgrounds changed on the screen in the back.

Back to NPH.

More carolers.

More NPH.

Short video again. I love how NPH is singing along with the choir.

This was taken on my cellphone. It is better than the Nikon pics. LOL.

Then everyone was leaving.

And the show was over. I am so HAPPY that NPH was there when we were. I loved him on Doogie and love him as Barney and we have so much in common. LOL.

When people started leaving I went up and spoke to Tracy and Bill. I do not have a pic of this though. :O( but it did really happen. We chatted for a few minutes but then I had to leave as they were all waiting on me. Tracy said they were going to let the crowds go out first. Good idea, it felt like sardines. Lol.

I think I will stop here.

Up next,

Should we stay or should we go?

Great pix of the CP !!Janet and I watched it from the back outside the Theatre. We had a pretty good view and were soooo glad we were able to see it !!!Whoopee was the narrator our night !!!

Great pics and video of the CP! We saw it a few years ago during our Christmas trip and I wish we had had more time to see it a second time.
Thanks for sharing.

Great shots and videos. Pity you couldn't sit with Tracy but it looks like you got good seats where you were.

WHO doesn't love NPH? He is amazing! :goodvibes And his kids are some of the cutest in the world!

I LOVED the Chicken Kabobs at Marrakesh! I just wish there was one more kabob! I did NOT like the olive salad at all, and the couscous was okay. I'm looking forward to Spice Road Table. Hoping to eat lunch there one day.

Wow, that is really impressive, such a big production. I have never ever seen this before. So beautiful with the screens and the huge choir. Thanks for the vids too Scott!!

It DID happen :rotfl:. You guys were close! We had a good view too. We never did take pics together, I mean how many times did we see each other, BAD DIS'ERS!! We always wait for the crowds to thin out, better maneuvering for Bill.

Great pictures and videos. Can't wait to read more.

Whoopi should have been good too.

We could have 2 or 3 more narrators on this trip but we only saw this one.

Great shots and videos. Pity you couldn't sit with Tracy but it looks like you got good seats where you were.
Thank you.
I was bummed but we will see them again.

:confused3 I give up. :lmao: They are and I love how they all dress up on Halloween.
:thumbsup2 I am hoping to eat lunch there too one day.

:rotfl2: We were 3rd row.
Nope we never did. :( I do have one that I have to scan in. Yes very bad.
I get that. I should wait too.

I get chills when I listen to the music at CP. It's so inspiring. I would love, love, love to be in one of those choirs. If I ever move to Florida I can tell you right now that I WILL be there.

The orchestra is A-MAZING!

And NPH - I bet he is just a great narrator. I would love to see him!

Great pics and video Scott! Loved it!

it is really something to see.
They were very good.
He was great. I had only seen it once before with Chita Rivera but he was very good. I guess they all bring their own special something to it.
Thank you.

Bummer you didn't get to sit with Tracy and Bill. But yay for great seats :thumbsup2

Great pics and video. Love to see one of them. Now that is Trent is older, I think I could drag him there without too much complaining :rotfl:

Love the picture of the palm tree. :)

Wow...that was one long line for the FP for Soarin'.

I could NOT believe the lines for the CP and how DISORGANIZED it was for the later performance when it was dark outside and people walking in all directions.

I listened to a couple of the videos and glad you got to see NPH...sounds like he did a great job.

I wish we could have been seated over by Bill and Tracy as they were a little more centered. We had good seats though.

You got some nice pics too.

it was. Wait for later in the week.
Glad I went when it was light out. LOL. The performance we went to was organized but annoyed me I couldn't go by Tracy.
He did.

me too.
Thanks.

We stayed at Universal to eat somewhere I have always wanted to try. First we must walk over. I think this pic came out decent.

That was quick and then we were there.

We looked over the menu so Vinny can see if there was something he could eat and he said yes so we went in.

Oh Christmas tree.

We were seated right away. Some pics.

What we ordered.
Vinny:

App – Corn & Crab Chowder.
Entrée – BEACH TACOS$9.99
Choose two: Carne Asada Steak with pico de gallo, cheese and cilantro. Braised Pork Carnitas with salsa verde, cilantro and queso fresco. Chicken Tinga with pico de gallo, cilantro and lime crema

Scott:
Ent - VOLCANO BURGER $14.29 Topped with our volcano chili, lava cheese sauce, pickled jalapenos, guacamole and Fritos original corn chips

I did not get a bun and I told them to keep the corn chips. Mine was very good and spicy.

Renee:
FRIED CHICKEN COBB SALAD $15.99
Hand-breaded fried chicken, Applewood-smoked bacon, avocado, tomato, bleu cheese, hard-boiled eggs served with honey mustard dressing.
She also had an unsweetened tea.
No pic sorry.

Total was $62.33 with tax and tip. I thought it was very good and so happy we went but wish I could have had a Margarita.

Not sure if you can tell here but the volcano went off and it poured down into the margarita cup.

We left through the gift shop and I saw some cute things but did not buy anything. By now it was dark out.

Walking along.

Citywalk at night.

Then I asked Vinny to pose on this.

I don’t remember what restaurant it was in front of.

Then we were really leaving. I walked as they took the moving sidewalk.

After we left we went back to the hotel and got an early night of sleep. I think I was asleep around 10. LOL. Unusual for me.

Overall I was happy with our day at Universal Studios. I rode a few new things and then some things I have not ridden in YEARS. I met up with Lorrie and Jim. Got to finally eat at a Margaritaville. Fun day indeed.

Up next,

“Welcome Home”..

I'm catching up on your TR! I can't believe they charged you guys as seniors at the mini golf!!!! :rotfl2: So glad you got to eat at Margaritaville! It's one of our faves. Anytime we go somewhere that has one, we go eat there. I usually get the "frozen blue concoction" which is basically a margarita with blue curacao in it. It's pretty good. Anyhoo...having fun catching up on your adventures. I didn't ride the mummy ride when we went a few years ago but DH did and said he had a headache afterwards. Must be a rough one!

Yes they did. But like Renee told me as long as on person in your group is then all get it. I am not so insulted anymore. :lmao:

Next time I do want to have a drink.

It was a rough one. :crazy2:

I got so far behind that I don't even know where I left off!

Marrakesh looks awesome, yours is the second set of pictures that I've seen that makes me want to eat there. I love Moroccan food. We have a few places here I enjoy and some dishes on the menu appear similar.

Soarin is always fun.

I'm glad you got good seats for NPH! Too bad they wouldn't let you sit with Tracey.

OK. Caught up!

:rotfl2:

It was good. Not great but good.

My favroite ride in Epcot.

It would have been nice to sit with them but what can you do.

:thumbsup2

When we left off I said goodbye to Tracy and Bill (I will see them the day after next for lunch) and rejoined the group. We wanted to get to the room being we had not even seen it yet and Vinny wanted to relax. We said goodbye to Lorrie and Jim and I said I might see them at MK that night. Off we went. Here are some Epcot night pics as we leave.

We will be here later in the week.

Cute lamppost decoration.

Looking back at World Showcase. One thing I tried working on was my night pics. I failed here. LOl.

The Epcot tree lit up.

Some more decorations.

One more of the leaning tree of Epcot. LOL.

The stage where the gospel group performs.

Then we came to Spaceship Earth.

Then it was onto our bus stop.

Soon enough we were back at AofA. We went to our rooms (next to each other) and we were greeted with this.

Before Vinny or I could do any damage to the room I took pics. I now present Little Mermaid rooms which you have seen a million times already. LOL.

I thought it was so cute.

Shower and potty.

Shower.

Sink area.

The room divider to the sink area.

Sitting area.

Mirror and lights.

Bed.

Tv and dresser.

We didnt unpack being we were there for 2 nights only.
Décor.

That is our room. It was very nice I thought. I know a lot of people say the walk is bad but I honestly did not find it bad at all. After the 1st night I took a shorter way I think.

I think I will stop here. Now do you think we stayed in or did we go out?

Up next,

The answer. LOL
