Mickey, Minions & more. 2 week holiday. Updated 9/14 - FINAL THOUGHTS

Love your keychain! You are so lucky you can easily find your name on things like that!

What a fun mini-golf set-up! I love playing, but I'm not very good. But I think that's part of the fun. :thumbsup2

I haven't been to Margaritaville, but I have been to Cheeseburger in Paradise. I'm sure that Margaritaville is great.

I'm glad you had a great day at US. You are making me miss it! I actually had a friend post a video from our trip in 2003 that he had made and it brought back so many memories from our day at IOA. :cloud9: I want to go back now!!!

:goodvibes me too. Sometimes not as easy as you would think.
I am not good either but it is fun.
:thumbsup2
it is a fun distraction from Disney.

Hi Scott just keeping up!!!!
hello.

Wow I missed a lot of updates but I'm caught up now! Your day at Universal looked like a lot of fun! I want to go for the roller coasters and the Simpsons area, but then I see things like Men in Black and The Mummy and I lose interest lol. I'm just not a big movie person, unless it's Disney I guess! :rotfl:

I didn't know there was mini golf there! I like the fact that it's a haunted theme, that's awesome!

Margaritaville looks yummy, I've always wanted to go there! City Walk has a lot of restaurants I'd like to try but again...I can't tear myself away from Disney! :rotfl2:

Wow! Good thing I went on your FB Page. Had no idea you were still doing TR's. The last ones I ever read were our IP Dip ones from 2011. We should shoot for a big IP Dip fall of 2015. I miss these: :rotfl2: :cool1:

The Mummy is a rollercoaster and one doozy one also. :lmao: I don;t look a them as movies but areas of fun. :rotfl2:
It was fun. next time we will do the sci-fi side.
Honestly the food is MUCH better at Universal. Disney food is just becoming to blend into one for me now. It used to be so much better.

Glad you saw it.
You missed 2012 and 2013 tr's.
I think 2015 is California for me. I want to get out to Disneyland but you never know.

We woke up early (okay I did) and was ready to move to Disney. We packed up what was out and showered then went downstairs and had breakfast. I think. I see no receipt for breakfast so we either ate there or I had a protein bar.

This was a good day as it was moving day to Disney. We were heading here to check in for 2 nights with the dining plan. We did stop and fill up the tank and then we had to go to Downtown Disney to get the Tables in Wonderland card. They couldn’t do my PP+ being they were not open for another 20 minutes.

It seems we were not alone with checking in this day.

We parked and they took their bags with them as I left mine in the trunk. I think they did a great job on this resort.

Then we walked inside. Nice lobby here.

I went to online check in and so did Renee. If you see the first cm in the pic with 2 guests, that is who we had. I think his name was Raphael. He was very nice.

It went very easy for both of us and soon we had our packet and ready to go. Our rooms were not ready but they dropped their bags off at luggage to be delivered later.

The Christmas tree in the lobby.

Some more decorations.

With no room to check into we were heading here.

And here it comes.

It felt so good to be on Disney property. I was ready to get this party started. LOL. And you see here Renee was too.

Soon enough we were there and the magicbands worked perfectly. Then we saw this beauty.

Some of the decorations as you walk in.

First I had to stop in the photo store by Spaceship Earth so I can get the Photopass+ activated. While standing in line Lorrie came in and got in line. I believe she was doing the same thing. There was a lady in there checking every photo on her card and editing. It was annoying with only 1 cast member working but he took me in between her edits. That done we left and said goodbye to Lorrie for now.

My most favorite spot in Epcot. I love this fountain.

Our first stop of the day was at Test Track. We did fp+ after the tier system went into place so I could only get Soarin’ for this day but thought maybe we could get TT by paper. Well guess what, we did.

Then we walked back the other way.

Then we saw this again.

Now it was time for our first Fastpass+. That would be this lovely ride here.

I rode with Renee in the front. Here are some bad pics along the way.

Computer lady time.

Then we came to Planet Earth.

Here is the video link for our adventure.

Then our pic was up on the board.

It was a fun ride and I hope Renee enjoyed it. I think I will stop here.

Up next,

Nap time for some.

:woohoo: for moving to Disney. We visited AoA shortly after it opened and like you think that they did an amazing job there. :thumbsup2

Looks like you were having fun at Epcot and it is very nice to hear that the Magic Bands worked well for you! :thumbsup2

YAY! You're on Disney property.

AoA looks great. I like the theming in this resort and it seems like a lot of fun.
Your FP- for TT was at 5.10 pm? What time did you pull it? I'm assuming you got there in the morning and the times had already blown out to late afternoon. Wow!

The Christmas tree in the lobby.

This is the only resort Christmas tree I have not seen. I was going to see it in December, and since we were staying at Pop, that was going to be an obvious and easy deal, right? :goodvibes The way things turned out, Jill offered to wheel me across the bridge on our last night to see it, since I was able to hold my head up for a few minutes at that point. It was cold, and she covered me with blankets. I know we were quite the sight - her skinny little self wheeling an 'out of it' lug barely peering out from behind blankets. When we got there, the tree had already been taken down. We peeked in the very front part of the gift shop, and she asked if I wanted to browse, but I just wanted to get back to Pop. It was the only adventure I had, the only things I saw other than my Pop Century room and the hospital, during the entire nine days. :upsidedow Have to laugh about it now. One of these days, I will see those AoA decorations in person!

I wish the suites weren't quite so expensive, and I wish they had balconies. I really do like that resort, but I like the Mermaid rooms so that I can have immediate access to the outdoors.

I enjoyed seeing the Epcot pictures. :)

:cool1: it is a fun place to see.
We were and so happy we had no issues then with them.

The theme is great. Photo time stamp is 10:49 am. it was a little busy the first week we were there.

I remember reading that on FB that they had taken it down by the time you got there. Now you have to do a make up holiday trip.
if they had balconies they would be perfect.
Thanks

Yay Disney!! :dance3:

I just LOVED the decorations at AoA!! 2012 seems like such a long time ago- but it was just WONDERFUL to be there when everything was new and all the Christmas Magic. I was super impressed at the decor there. It was perfect for the theming of the resort. LOVE. I'm still so upset about not going at Christmas time this year.

I'm also a bit jealous that you were able to double dip, since they are now taking away the paper FP machines. I HATE the tiered system at EPCOT. Absolutely ridiculous!

I remember when you posted this on FB. Such a total bummer.

I'm not sure I am a fan of the fake white Christmas tree, but I do think the resort is so cute. I would love to stay there instead of AS Sports for my one nighted, but the price difference doesn't make it worth it for the amount of time I will be there.

Can't wait to see your room.

Epcot was my first Park in December too !!! I made my FP+ before the Tier thing started so could get TT and Soarin' . That Tier system is awful as the good ones are all in Tier 1 !!!

All of the resorts impress me with the decorations. They do a great job on them.
Maybe next year you will.
I am glad we were but I see the 21st it leaves DHS and on the 23rd is the last day for fp at Epcot. I only hope they up the amount to more than 3 a day.

The price seems a little high. It is basically like POP and think it should be around the same price. I think.
:thumbsup2

Yeah. Maybe it is a way for you to go Epcot more than 1 day. :confused3

Great update so far. I'm waiting on pins and needles to see where you stay at AOA. I want to stay there sometime soon. I really think Bayleigh would enjoy the pool.

Thank you. Well let me help that we were in Little Mermaid. I will tell you now because we are at Epcot for a while.
We never hit the pool at AofA.

YAY for Disney time :cool1:

We took a detour over to AOA our last trip to check it out. While the boys played in arcade, I walked around outside and checked it out. So awesome!! I would love to stay in one of the suites, but so hard to justify that price when it is just the 3 of us. I don't think my DH or DS would be too thrilled about staying in a LM room :rotfl2:

Love Spaceship Earth. That always seems to be the first ride of every trip for us :goodvibes

It is a great resort but would never pay for a suite. I liked the LM rooms.
:thumbsup2

Yay! You've arrived on Disney property!

We toure Art of Animation this past trip and it was so cute. However, I didn't like the walk alllll the way down to the Little Mermaid section. I don't know why it seemed like it was so far away but it did. Oh wait, maybe it was because it was blistering hot and we had a 79 year old grandma in tow. :rotfl:
