Mickey Milestone Tour at MK - ages 10 and up.
Has anyone ever participated in one ?
What was it like ?
Did you enjoy it ?

Why on this web-site for AP discounts is the Mickey Milestone Tour not in bold letters - as the other tours listed are in bold letters ?

My children are not over 16 yet for the other tours - but my soon to be 16 year old DS does not want the Family tour with strollers and younger children.

thanks :)

We just did the tour two weeks ago and it was great. You get to ride up front of the train and you get off in Toontown before it is open. You go into Mickeys house and then as you leave Mickeys house you get a special visit for someone very special. Don't forget to take your camera. Everyone on our tour did not bring one and missed a great picture. After that we went into Mickeys Philharmoic (sp?) After that we went over to Liberty Square and behind the Xmas shop we went to this area that was roped off and another special person came to see us and gave us Mickey ears with our names written on the ears. We were told we could that them to the shop on Main street that embroiders them and they would put our names on them for nothing. Our guide was very good and told us many things and showed us alot of hidden mickeys. I would recomend this tour to anyone. :cheer2:

I just called - I was able to book July 3, 2006 :) for the Mickey Magical Milestone tour. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

Something to do 4th of July week w/o crowds.

They CM I spoke with said she went on it 2 weeks ago with her sister.
webmomom description is very accurate. She also said there were no children on her tour.

I am planning to be at MK by 8:30 AM.
You have to check in to the left of the MK turnstyles, with your ressie # and be at the tour garden to the left of City Hall by 8:45 AM.
The tour leaves promptly at 9 AM.

It is very cool that WDW is booking 2006 tour reservations. :cool1:

We went on it for our July trip. It was me, my DD & my 8 year old DS (I know they recommend 10 but it is open to all ages & my 8 year old is the "why?" type of kid and loves this kind of thing!).

There were 3 or 4 (geez, I forgot now!) other people on my tour - we were late showing up so I was a bit stressed but thankfully they got me caught up to the tour (we only missed about 5 minutes worth). Oops! Don't do that if you can help it! I don't know what I missed but having a small group, we weren't able to sneak in unnoticed. :rotfl:

If you want to read SPOILERS here is my report after we got back

I really liked the tour and thought it was informative. Definitely bring the camera! It has already been described. I also think since it's fairly new tour, it usually is a smaller group on it.

We went in late July, and really enjoyed it (DM50ish, me, DS10). Good amount of time and info for DS, interesting without being overwhelming. Only had one other family (mom, dad, grown daughter) with us so we all got to ask lots of questions! Tour guide was EXCELLENT. If you've already done the longer more indepth tours, this might not thrill you, but we enjoyed it (and no one seems to know about it!). Only oops was that mom and I had ECVS (which guide was excellent about dealing with, never made us feel bad), and they're not allowed on the train, so she and I just zoomed across the park and met the rest of the party at the rope drop by toontown. Loved the ugly looks from the hordes waiting at the rope as we zoomed past them right in to Mickey himself!

From the sounds of it, not too many people are signing up for this tour. From the descriptions here, it sounds like it would be really fun to take. My question is, do I need to make reservations or would I be able to make them while I'm down there? Truth be told, I'm not a planner. We pretty much just go with the flow. Thanks!!
