There is 34 days before this trip and I literally found out about it three days ago. :scared1: The Disney Nut in me was doing the banana dance when I found but the planning freak in me was freaking out!! What do you mean I only have over a month to plan? We need dining reservations! what parks are we going to go to? We didn't even have flight nor room reservations! Well, if anybody could do this, I could.

My name is Shardai, and I am a 23 year old nursing student. I am known as the Disney consultant by my family. I love everything about Disney and even used to work there, (we shall revisit that later). I enjoy finding out as much little secrets and tips that I can find to make my family's trip easier. My family usually looks to me for all their plans. They let me loose and seriously just show up on departure day.

The person travelling with me is my Mom, Renena. She has been on three of my six trips to Disney. Now, I love my mom very much but she is not the easiest to get along with and we have had some real big blowups at Disney. I know, your probably thinking why do I still travel with her? Well, there are two reasons. Reason # 1, I am not yet at the place where I am willing to take a solo trip and reason # 2, she is the only one in my extended family who puts up with my Disney obsession, so here she is, the one and only.....

That's it, just me and my mom. To give you a better understanding of how we got to this insane point, I am going to have to take you back a month. I had just come bachk home from spending 6 wonderful months as part of the Disney's College Program. i got to work for them and have the luxury of Disney as my backyard playground. Needless to say that I loved it. Being back home, I was going through withdrawal and missing all my friends that I had made. More importantly, I missed Disney!!! Right there and then I vowed to visit Disney at the beginning of 2012. Unfortunately plans kept falling through, prices too high, and people kept jumping ship. Finally I narrowed it down to just my mom and I but had to move the trip to May. That was more than a year away and I was a little upset but figured it was better than no trip at all.

Now my obsession to Disney is as my mother's obsession to Tupperware. Tupperware in my opinion is the root of all things evil, but that is neither here nor there. It just so happens that Tupperware holds a convention every year in Disney. They offer their consultants special rates on the resort and tickets. My Mom happened to be telling me about the convention and how she wasn't sure where she would stay since the special they got on the rooms were all booked. I said wait a minute, your going to Disney aren't you? She confirmed so I threw on those puppy dog eyes and Viola, we now have a trip in the making.

BTW: Our dates are August 19th-25th.

Sooo, even though I have not had any replies yet I am going to press on with my PTR. We left off with my mom springing a surprise trip to Disney World nest month, with no plans made. First thing First, resort reservations. Since my Mom was going for Tupperware, her company got some really cheap discounted tickets that included three parks and one water park ticket. It was only 214 per person, so we decided to purchase them with Tupperware. Since we did not have to buy tickets, we decided to book a room only. It just so happened that Disney is running a special on room only for $69 a night in values. We booked it for 490 at the All Star Sports and booked our flights on Southwest. I finally relaxed after taking care of those two reservations.

Until I remembered about dining reservations. This was what I was really stressed about. Any good Dis'er knows that you wake up at the crack of dawn exactly 180 days out to get those coveted dining reservations. This is a budget trip so we only chose to eat at three restaurants. We wanted:Cape May Cafe, Le Cellier, and Liberty Tree Tavern (our traditional restaurant). We wound up not getting Le Cellier and I honestly was not surprised but we did get the others we wanted and scored Teppan Edo. I later changed Teppan Edo to Kona cafe because after not getting Le Cellier, nothing else really appealed to me at Epcot. Plus since my mom's convention is at the Contemporary, after a nice lunch, she could hop the monorail over there.

Note: This will also be our first time using Magical Express. We have never used it before as we have always traveled with children and twice with a child who had an extensive list of medicine. So we are very excited to try it out. I personally love that you do not have to worry about your bags at all.

Day 5: Departure
Catch ME to go home.

Our first day is AK cause my mom has never been. The last three times we went we kept meaning to go but would always be too tired to go so this trip we are making it our first priority. My Mom's convention is usually in the afternoon so some days we are spending the morning in the park, I go relax at the resort while my mom is being bored by Tupperware, and go back to the parks at night. Also a lot of our meals are in our room. We plan on taking bagels and and cereal with us for breakfast and some bread, pb & j, and some microwaveable items for some late night dinners. This was more a surprise trip so we don't want to spend all our money. I would rather save it for our May trip. So these are our plans. What do you think?

We really liked taking the ME. Just make sure you put the tags on the bags. Someone I know:rolleyes1forgot to put the tags on the bags. Good news is my hubby asked me while we were waiting to take off in DTW. That is when I realized we would need to go to baggage claim....

Unfortunately we still have not recieved our tags and it is less than three weeks out. I called them and they said that we should get them by this Monday that just passed! :scared1: I guess I am just going to have to visit the post office tomorrow.

In other news my Mom and I have been having some issues and she is now saying two weeks out that she is not sure if she wants to go. :sad2: Not to worry though, this is typical from my mom and it would not be a trip to Disney without her drama. I still love her dearly though, but sometimes her bipolar disorder causes her to overreact. I mean I have all the reservation numbers, boarding info, and dining reservations soooo no big deal.

Just found out, officially going back to Disney!!!! Thank you Southwest for not exchanging tickets at the last minute!!! :yay::rotfl2: I am soooo happpy!!! The white flags are out and truces have been called. Seriously though there are only eleven days until we leave and there is so much to do!!!!!! I am still just so happy. We are going to talk over the peace treaty on Wed. over the ceremonial bonfire.. I mean over dinner. I offered to take my Mom out to dinner because yes I will do almost anything to go back to Disney. I will catch up more on Wednesday after we discuss everything.
