Sorry if this is not the right forum to post to but meh :P

Does anyone know if my son (14 years old, Disney addict!) will like these ? We never saw a boy wear headbands before (we only see them with hats). I want to surprise him for his birthday for his first mickey ears!

Thanks!!

You're right. I feel like he wouldn't wear that. Does anyone know any souvenirs we could buy for our trip ?

I'd get him one of those Goofy hats with the floppy ears.

Or get him the traditional Mickey ears with his name embroidered on it. Just tell him he doesn't have to wear it if he doesn't want to. It could be a nice keepsake.

Yes!!! His favorite character out of the gang is Goofy. Do you know the price though? The canadian dollar exchange can be pretty high. Also, doesn't it get really hot though ?

There is SO much to choose from that it would be impossible to say. I'd download the Shop Disney Parks app and just browse. It shows many of the items they sell at various locations in the parks and it can tell you where to find them while there (you can also order, but then it's not really a souvenir from your trip). There are so many things!

No idea on the cost, although I'm sure you'll find it on the parks app Mesaboy mentioned.

And yes, it will get hot. But he doesn't have to wear it all the time.

I don't think that's a good choice. It's interesting that the "headband" is a take on Disney's Sorcerer Apprentice. That's a male character. However, I feel that headbands are usually designed with females in mind. So, I wouldn't get that for him. If he wants that, let him decide to buy that on his own. I'd opt for something else. Things are always changing, of course. As for what to buy, since it's your first trip, stick to basics. Perhaps buy a coffee/tea mug if you know it will be used. Lord knows they make plenty of them now. I started going when I was a kid, and now they have little personalized shops at some of the attractions. My favorite mug was sold at the small "built in the wall" gift shop for Soarin' in Epcot. It says "ready for takeoff" on it. I don't think they make it anymore. I use it all the time. (If you can, post a picture of what you buy!)

Quick question,

His birthday is June 30th. Can we get a birthday button for him even if we're going to be there at the last week of July ?

I went on two band trips 4 years apart with boys 7 to 12th grade. Most were more into Jack Skellington.

Unfortunately the Shop Parks app isn't available in Canada
